Dispatches are up! (1 Viewer)

Seems the 3 men are different from the historilcal photos.... a cut-n-paste job ?

The Fall of SIngapore pieces was more accurate like the photo

Is it me - or has it been a very long time since their has been a Market Garden New Figure Released ???

Seriously though mate, how cool is this new AFV, going to be a defo purchase this one^&cool

Rob

Mate K&C have weathered this AFV great. Yes a must for me. Simmo.

Great all round selection of releases......though not much for me this time!. I really like the Gas pumps set that is a must-have!! , but i think i wll have a shot at building my own Garage..The Mother + Daughter set is also joining my collection of Refugee"s. Also like the 8wheel armoured car. but as i have the early grey version, i will pass on this one at the moment.

Steve

Same for me Steve, the gas pumps and I will also build my own garage. Refugees are also a must have together with the radio man to complete my "Caen patrol"
Guy:)

You do make a point, I think the set was based on the first photo and Roosevelt should have glasses on and no cape or cigar and Churchill a R.A.F cap on his lap and seated on the right, and Stalin no great coat, but honestly I don't care at all, it is still a great set which I will be getting for sure.
Wayne.

I agree, like this set a lot. As well as a stand alone set it might be interesting to have a pic with other Allied officers/leaders stood behind them, Monty,Patton, Dowding etc .

Churchill is not in coats but uniform... odd. If is a cold day every three of them should be in coats

Ah, but don't forget one thing about Churchill, with all that Brandy in him he didn't need an overcoat:wink2:

Rob

Interesting discussion on the Yalta photo. I could be wrong but my memory of the photo was a more formal one with staff officers standing right behind them. Does anybody know of another photo ?

The overcoat Churchill is wearing looks like the British officers coat.

On this subject it seems some only have the official photos which were circulated around the world however, there are several where Churchill has no overcoat on That I have and have been published. There are also a couple with Stalin with no hat and overcoat also.

Wayne,
All you need is some Egyptian dancing girls and you have a politically incorrect diorama (although I am sure Winston would approve {sm4}).

Winston would approve and then have a brandy or three and a nap.....:wink2: I think dealing with a sick FDR and Stalin he needed a good drink..

Mitch, will you go for this set? The more I look at it the more I think it will look so good as a stand alone set, quite apart from the fighting and marching figures we normally collect.

Rob

Rob...

For me, I will get one as its a good enough set and a good stand alone piece. Its also a pivotal part of the history we follow and, unlikely to be done again.

I know one thing churchill could be used around a plotting table with some RAF officers etc and, Harris when he comes and would look great

Wayne,
One of those three is certainly not historically accurate.{sm4}
Brett

If the dodgy looking pic with the girls was historically accurate then it makes me wonder what would have happened later! {sm2}{eek3}{sm4}

Maybe there wouldn't have been a cold war....
