Fighting in the heart of Normandy... (1 Viewer)

Hello all,
We recently completed another version of a diorama we showed at last years Chicago OTSN show. This one is larger and incorporates more of our stone walls and a water feature, including a small boat.
I thought some of you might enjoy seeing the newest version incorporating our damaged Normandy Barn.

This one includes working compound gates for some versatility in staging.

The small boat was built of basswood and painted a weathered blue. On my last visit to the Normandy coast I noticed similar colors used on doors, shutters and small boats everywhere.

The next couple of images incorporate some W. Britain figures I sculpted and a K&C ambulance.

Ken and Ericka, your work never fails to make me smile. {bravo}}

Ken-
I really love the boat and gates! You are truly the God of sculpting and dioramas! I hope to meet you someday at a show or reenactment (ever make it out to the N.E. for reenactments?)?

Good morning Ken & Ericka. I am sitting here looking at your most recnt photos while enjoying my first cup of coffee. All I can say about these pics is FANTASTIC!!! Its no wonder I keep coming back to you guys for more . . . . Hudson and Allen certainly sets the standard in diorama scenics . . . . Happy Halloween . . .

I will add to the storyline as we get closer to the Chicago OTSN show. These images have featured a selection of 14" X 11" custom dioramas that we will be offering for sale.

Although only 6 different custom dioramas were pictured here, we will have several others including a few larger ones. We will also be offering our smaller scenic elements and of course, a selection of H&A scenic accessories.
The figures featured for scale reference and storyline include W. Britain, ONWTC, Conte and 1st Legion.
Hope to see some of you soon!
All the Best,
Ken

Excellent again Ken. BTW, when's you next building in this series coming out?

Carlos

Nice work Ken! I love the setting and little touches that makes the entire composition look so real (without the figures):salute::

Last week I was rummaging through some boxes and ran across a diorama I built at the same time as the Saint Lo diorama at the beginning of this thread. I had packed it away and forgotten about it, so I tweaked a few details and took these images before we left for the event at the History store in Chillecothe Ohio, where it was sold.

On June 11, 1944 the U.S. 101st Airborne division advance on Carentan which was defended by the 6th Fallschirmjager Regt. and elements of the 795th Ost Battalion.
