Just wonderful, but the down side is that when I see these figures at the Toy Soldier shop they seem so bland compared to the way they look in these dioramas.

Really impressive!

Excellent Chris, looks like it is straight out of "ZULU DAWN" {bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Cheers

Martyn:)

Great display! The JG Miniatures backdrop finishes off the scene rather well. {bravo}}

Sometimes one has to just try and imagine the possibilities. Though I do see your point. I have a lot of glossys so they tend to shine a bit. This is a nicely done set of pictures. Where did the base come from?

Thanks, the base is Husdon and Allen by Ken and Ericka Olsen. Chris

Hi Chris,

Amazing, it looks awesome. I've been to the actual Isandlwana battlefield (and Rourke's drift) when i was living in South Africa, and your pics really bring it to life.

I just came accross this thread when i was viewing the news posts, so didn't take notice of where you posted it, and might be asking a dumb thing now, but: where did you get the figures from!?!?! Ever since living in SA i want to recreate Anglo-Zulu and Anglo-Boer battlefields, preferably with figures i can make and paint myself.

If you have more pics, please share!!

Best regards,
Jeroen

{bravo}}{bravo}} Very nicely done Chris an it's nice seeing you at play on the Field of Isandwana. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us next........The Lt. {bravo}}{bravo}}

Dear Chris:

Splendid diorama relative to placement of figures, ground terrain & backdrop!!!

"Iron Brigade" / Gary

Always great to see the redcoats on display Chris, nicely laid out too, you have seen Zulu dawn and captured it for yourself. Cheers, Robin.

Chris...that Hudson Allen mat really makes those figures pop...it is the best product on the market...

That awesome you visited the battlefields the rest of us read about in books and see in movies. :smile2: The figs in my dios are predominately Britains with some Contes as well. Most are available on the Treefrog Treasures site. For more of my pics see the thread "The Beginning of The End At Isandlwana" on page 3 of the Britains postings. Thanks for your kind remarks. Chris

Thanks Joe, Robin and Gary. Your many Zulu dio pics enticed me into the field. :smile2: Chris

Very nicely done Chris. That H&A dio base is just brilliant . . . . but then that's true with all the H&A products.
:smile2: Mike

Thanks Mike, 7 new Zulu casualty figs are in the mail. Will add to my next dio and hope to have more pics out at the end of the week. Chris

Excellent set of pictures Chris and a very authentic looking dio construction.

I had no idea you were one of the Lt's officers as I had you down as being Mike's adjutant.:smile2:

Very nice work though with both the eras that you've posted

Bob
