First Legion Update and "The BIG SALE" Announcement (3 Viewers)

Great looking vehicles, I've got the PKIV (at the original price-lol) and really like it. Liking that StuG too-don't have it.

I agree with the previous comments - the FL Panzer IVH and Stug IV are excellent models. I’ve got the same Panzer IV and the Normandy Stug IV. They’re definitely jewels of my collection 😎

I really like your scenes !
Very nice. Thanks to FL for the sale. Wish I could have picked up more than one mtd samurai but budget and space dictate caution.
Still a great chance to get some top quality items.
Sales really do work.
Luck in all your endeavors,
Paddy

New edition to Big Sale came out today. I picked up a few Greek Hoplites and a Franco-PrussianWar wounded flag bearer. Nice!

Some of the prices - particularly for us Aussies - are incredibility low. So I am tempted to go for a second batch after picking up some figures a few weeks ago. The rub is those Samurai I saved up and collected over time would now be 75% off.

I took advantage of the sale and got 3 mounted Samurais which I always wanted in my collection. I figure after shipping cost to Canada I saved ~ 60% each.

Those mounted Samurai were such a great deal! Missed on accouple I would have loved to have.
Anyone know what the "Not Warranted" label means? Maybe no returns accepted?

Since you mentioned about it I have no idea what it means. I hope at least FL checks the items to make sure they are 100% fine before sending them out ?

Yes, it is mentioned in the details of the sale, due to the low price you cannot return them if they arrive damaged.

The potential problem with checking them before shipment is that FL figures are packed very tight and can be damaged after being inspected and when being put back in the box.

I just received some of those Samurais and a Mtd Russian Uhlan. 2 of 5 Samurais Damaged, Uhlan damaged. Pretty sure they are not checked based on packing. I have emailed to see what can be done, I don't care about the price, but if they are obviously damaged from the factory, that is irritating.

On another note, I can tell you from recent vikings, IMO I believe there is damage occurring at the factory, on one, I could tell no one had ever opened it, i started gently picking out foam and came away with an ax handle. It was IMO again, obvious that the figure was put in the box, then foam jammed on top, thus breaking the ax.

The sculpts on most of the figures are very nice and detailed and realistic, but not sure if I am happy on packaging, I open up every one of them immediately upon receipt.

I'm sorry to hear that Tom. I think damage to FL figures most often occurs at the factory. They are packed extremely tight. I've bought two Greek figures recently that I needed for a planned diorama, and they were fine. But their non-return policy for broken figures that fall under the big sale category turned me away from buying more. They say to file an insurance claim w/ the carrier if there is damage. But if the damage occurred at the factory why should the carrier even be involved? I hope you can get this resolved.

FL needs to lessen the amount of loose foam the factory is jamming into every nook and cranny of a figure. I can absolutely see that being the culprit. When I unpack a new FL figure from the last year or two, I can never get more than about 40% of the loose foam back in the box. Nor would I want to, as all that extra foam doesn't really make the figure any more secure. That's my 2 cents.

Many manufacturers over stuff. I buy many aeroart figures. They come in a box with mushy foam and tissues - never arrive broken.
