Jeff what primer are you using, I remember you said it was an automobile

primer. Are you airbrushing it on, or using it out of a spray can. It really brings

out all the details without covering anything up.

John,

That's it. A car primer in a spray can. Really cheap and goes along way. I find that a few light coats and by turning the figures between spraying gives a good finish.

Thanks Jeff, I'm going to give that a try myself! Even if my painting skills

are lacking, I can build up a sharp looking light grey army!:D

A bit more detail added to the British Officers. When these colours have dried I will be adding the lace trimmings and finer detail such as the buttons etc.

Well the British Officers are finished - all except the Ensigns arm and flag which has been started - more tomorrow :). These will now join the Rangers and await the arrival of the Indians.

Cool!
They look great Jeff. Nice job, and it's akways a pleasure following your work along.
Did you mix the green on the bases? (serious question for a change )

Simon,

Thanks for your continuing support :) Yes I did add some yellow to the dark green to give a lighter shade, I didn't want the same base colour as the Rangers uniforms......it would be too much even for me!

Here are the finished figures from this set so far, just waiting for the Indians and flag.

Wow Jeff. If Konrad sees those while in Germany he will want to stop in London to pick them up.

Cheers Guys, much appreciated in this heat. Too hot to paint during the day as the paint tends to dry on the brush .

I have managed to start the flag...........

Hi Jeff,
returned last night from my vacation and, of course, immediately checked on this thread.
Wonderful job and they will make a great display. I am very pleased with the finish of the British Troops and the Rangers.
Glad to see that I came back early enough to watch the development of the flag.

Konrad,

Did you manage to unpack first? :D:p;) I hope you had a relaxing holiday and ready for the next instalment.

Glad you like them so far and here we have the Indians, next will be the skin colour which as you have requested will be darker, plus of course a little bit of warpaint.

The development of the flag.......good job the detail is engraved on the castings is all I can say...........

No, did not unpack first.
After 10 days without one look at any Toy Soldiers,, I had to check them out first.
Unpacking, laundry and such is going on today, so everything is o.k. before going back to work tomorrow.
The Indians are looking great, Jeff.
Every single step is exciting to see and a lot of fun, especially of course, when they are meant to travel across the big pond to parade on the shelfs right next to me :D
Thanks for the update.
