football season is here!!!!!!!!!! (2 Viewers)

"Just saw that Tom Brady is done for the year in New England. That is a tough break for the Pats fans. Anyone have George on suicide watch?"

no biggie, I'll just do more shows in the Fall............;)

"The only good news is that Matt Cassel may be the most deserving QB in history to finally get his shot. He played (or at least watched) behind Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart during his career at USC - both Heisman winners. Then Brady in the NFL. Hopefully he does well."

I remember in 2001 after Bledsoe went down, I thought the season was over, in stepped a 6th round draft pick from Michigan and the rest is history.

You can do this Matt, just stay within yourself and use the weapons around you (Moss, Welker, Maroney, Morris, Watson, Faulk) and go from there.

It all starts vs "the gunslinger" in New York next Sunday.

That is indeed a tough break. It is always devestating to lose a franchise player and Brady is that in spades. Actually that is one good think about the Redskins these days, we have no franchise players.

I think it's all my fault, I joined fantasy football for the first time in years and drafted Tom Brady with my first pick, the proverbial kiss of death.

And unfortunately - No Wins Either

Hopefully we can get this show on the road or this coach will last as long as that "visor throwing college coach who thought he could coach professional football" :D ;) :p

Well George and Ron, buck up. I don't think either one of your teams should be counted out just yet.

Cassel looked pretty good for the Pats against (the admittedly terrible) Chiefs, has a great team around him, the AFC East is (outside of the Patriots) the weakest division in football, and the two of the three other AFC teams I expected to be great this year (the Colts and the Bolts) lost (the Steelers lloked great as expected), so I think the Pats will make the playoffs and have a shot at advancing.

Also, as I think last year demonstrated, you can't judge a season on the first game or two (if that was the case the Giants would have been totally out). The Redskins offense looked weak against the Giants, but showed flashes of brilliance in the one scoring drive at the end of the first half. Once that young quarterback learns the system, the Redskins, who already have a good defense and decent running game with Portis, should make a playoff push down the stretch. The Redskins real problem is they play in the NFC East, which is by far the toughest division in the NFL, with all four teams being legitimate playoff contenders. The Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and Redskins may beat themselves up so bad in divisional play that with a slow start the Redskins may not be able to make up the ground.

Yes the NFL East is seldom the best route to the playoffs. We Redskin fans will do what we usually do, we shall endeavor to persevere.;) Hopefully that will work out better for us than it did for the Nez Perce.

USC and Ohio St. on saturday night! Hard to get a better matchup in college football. Warm up the High Definition and cool down the beer. Go Trojans. :D

Fight On! The Mighty Trojans by at least two TDs against the "NUTS" from Columbus. Combat, I have no doubt you enjoyed the Virginia game!

Onward,

Yes, I was there. It was miserable hot, but I sat through the whole game. Had great seats around the 40-yd line. A good old-fashioned butt kicking. The UVA fans were good sports - I don't think they care much whether they win or lose. My prediction is SC 31 OSt 10. I do hope Wells can play for the Buckeyes so there is no "what ifs" afterward. Latest report is that he is doubtful.

When I was there, butt kicking of the Cavs was common place; easy to get great seats though. Seems like the lack of interest in the outcome hasn't changed; it used to be quite a party.:)

Thanks Louis - You are kind.

I believe the REDSKINS will have a rough year - but, you still got to luv them :D

I believe Coach Zorn will have us on the road to the playoffs soon - maybe we can get lucky this year ! The first game out of the blocks we were playing the WORLD CHAMPIONS and we didn't look that bad.....Well, OK the Offense did ;)

I have hope for the season and also for my MIGHTY SEMINOLES !! :)

Yes Broncos rule, go for two and suprise your enemy who has no timeouts. The coach would have been wearing the goat horns if it didnt work though. Risk not, do not. Caught a huge lucky break with that so called fumble(yeah I dont how much so-called you could call it). Broncos for sure are on the road to the Superbowl - ha ha.

Take Care

Okay.....just for that, at 12:30 I'm going to the Varsity, where I'm going to

buy their Jumbo Stadium Clog Your Arteries Special then race home to

watch the game from the couch with my stadium surround sound!

Okay, Okay nothing beats being at the game......and I will probably spend

I just returned, sunburned and happy, from watching a heckuva good football game. My Giants beat the Bengals in overtime, and to celebrate, I bought myself a Lawrence Taylor #56 throwback jersey. The Giants are 3-0, and as of this momment, the NFC East as a Division has not lost a single game to a team outside the Division (the only losses in the Division are to Division foes - Washington losing to the Giants in week one, and the Eagles losing to the Cowboys last Monday night). I think the NFC East, the Division with the most Superbowl titles by any Division, may very well be looking at another Superbowl Title this year. The Giants, Cowboys and Eagles are all talented enough to win it all.

Congratulations on the Jersey:D a true sports fan cannot have enough of

them! And the throwbacks are sharp.......do I see the possibility of a sports

memorabilia room at some time in your future?

Perhaps a showcase with a Gehrig bat or ball......a Yankee World Series Ring

or Giant Superbowl Ring under glass?:D:D

What do you think?:D
