Louis I wish!
I do keep an eye on the sports memoribilia auctions, and shops and perk up
whenever rings become available. They are usually ones given to support
staff or issued by the office. Thurman Munson's wife did auction off quite a
bit of his items a little while ago including several World Series Rings.
As long as the money goes to the family, or charity I suppose its OK.
My son in law is a Packer Fan so I have supplied him with several Brett Favre
items that he keeps in his office.
The bat pictured in my last post sold for $348 on auction it was a store
model not game used. Its vintage was unknown but it was thought to be from
his time period.
You can pick up original 1940's Era "Endorsed" Lou Gehrig Bats for $595.
An autographed game used bat is big bucks. A Lou Gehrig 1923 sidewritten
rookie bat brought $125,000 in a private sale in 2001.
Mayor Rudy paid $16,000 for his 4 rings from championship years 1996-2000.
Rings are all over the place depending on who owned them
$15K - $150K
Here are examples of a 1936, 1958, and 1978.
