Forthcoming and fourth dispatches of 2011 (2 Viewers)

There's been very few retirements this year. I wonder what might be going next month? Hopefully not to many crusaders.

And yes to WWII Germans and the "ubiquitous" Berlin '38. :)

Yes I'm hoping for not too many either, I think the retirements have been spread out really well of late .

This is what Gordon said in a post last week, when he mentioned the forthcominf RAF Tanker...

1). New Alamo Figures
K&C’s normal Alamo Release Schedule is just once a year… Usually around March/ April or May.
Next release is …… and includes a wounded Mexican Dragoon… a mounted Sam Houston (I know he wasn’t at the Alamo but he’s a central part of the fight for Texas Independence)… Col. Travis’ manservant “Joe” and two more fighting Texians.

So if they are released in April my friend Joe, a avid Alamo Collector here in Perth will be a very happy chap :)

Question is, is the fuel tanker a lone RAF release????:wink2:

You know Rob one of the best things about collecting K+C is the monthly dispatches, gives you something to look forward to no other company does it,as for dispatches i reckon lots of retirements :wink2: :wink2: and hopefully no WW2 Germans i need to play catch up im miles behind in purchases.

It really is a monthly highlight isn't it, even if you don't collect whats being released its always good to see whats coming out. I still look forward to Dispatches as much as I always have, this hobby and this product is very addictive!:smile2:^&cool.Yes we are bound to get hit with some retirements this month, hopefully not too many.:wink2::salute::

Gotta hate the months with 31 days...............^&grin

this could be a new part of the month not only guess the forthcoming guess what and how many get the chop.

I think 5 retirements this month

Mitch, is that five overall or five WW2?. I'm thinking sooner or later WW2 will have to take a hit so quite possibly five from that range??. The RAF range hasn't had a hit yet, so maybe something from that?

ALOT..........^&grin hasn't been any for awhile.

personally, I think 5 overall. I don't think I can recal a time recently when double figures were dispatched to discon and, the rate of discontinued has over the past what, 18 months, been very slow and good for collectors.

I just don't see why K&C would now change this policy which, must have helped sales, and deplete ranges and, get rid of as many as you guys seem to expect.

We shall see on friday
Mitch

It was said last year that this years D-Day release will be Americans in action. Whether it's Rangers, Airborne, or First Division remains to be seen.

Yes, I remember that announcement too Doughboy! I actually had almost forgotten, so thanks for the reminder. As always, looking forward to the dispatches, but maybe even a little more than usual now! Would like to see more Aussie figures - I need some to set up w/ the forthcoming tank. She's a real beauty (saw her at the Westcoaster).

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble - and I hope I'm wrong - but since the P-47 is coming out in May, I'd have a hard time imagining we'll see any other Warbirds in the next Dispatches. It seems to me that, although the P-47 is USAF and the Typhoon is RAF, you are hitting up the same customer for two big purchases in one month.

Maybe the WWI plane...but I still think odds are the P-47 is the only plane Warbird we'll see.

By the same token, while it wouldn't surprise me to see the fuel bowser, I wonder if there might be some new USAF figures and if this would be an RAF free month altogether.

D-Day and Arnhem both make sense.

I also wonder if it's not time for some new Civil War figures with the 150th anniversary of the firing on Ft. Sumter this April. Not sure if K&C would do anything specifically related to that battle. But given that the last ACW release was Union dismounted cavalry, I'd think it would be Confederates.

My only other guess would be some more Ancient Egypt figures.

Of course, Andy's surprises are what I love best - I love when he takes risks. Here's hoping for a curveball none of us has thought of.

Whether or not I buy anything, I love that I have this to look forward to each month.

Question - will the Dispatches hit Friday, or is this one of those cases where we have to wait a weekend?

It's not a public holiday in Hong Kong on 1 April so dispatches should happen Friday. I hope.

Good points, it would be unusual to have two Warbirds so close together. As for the fuel Bowser I think forthcoming sets that we've seen pictures of don't tend to be too long released after those pics are up but who knows. I think this year will be a US weighted D Day release which is only fair as we've had plenty of Brits recently.I wonder what piece of armour Andy will go for??. Friday should be a good bet for dispatches, I really enjoy the anticipation and guessing in the run up to dispatches, its all part of sharing the hobby with the Treefrog community:smile2::salute::

Rob

I wonder if the date of the forthcoming "Dispatches" will have any bearing on what will be coming AND going ???

Its APRIL FOOL's DAY :rolleyes2:

Rob

Didn't think of that. When was the last time there was a month without an AFV?

If it's Arnhem, maybe some XXX Corps armor? I'd love to see an armored command vehicle like the one Michael Caine rode in a Bridge Too Far.
