Get in there england!!!!!!!!!!!! (4 Viewers)

Rob,Wayne etc
How about we go into the Baseball thread and talk about Cricket ??!!!. That will really cause some confusion.
Regards
Brett
Please note this is a very poor joke and it is not intended to cause Rob or any other member to take up the suggestion.

:D:D

We'd be neither popular or understood Brett;)

Cricket is a wonderful game played in a great atmos.Last night two London football teams played each other resulting in stabbings, pitch invasions and arrests, wheres the fun?.

Rob

Oz,
I hope the items you are selling on Ebay are to fund Cricket items as this is the Cricket thread !!!!!!.
Hopefully we will be allowed to have our Cricket related and or Brit V Aussie fun on this thread.
Regards
Brett

LOL - any cricket items I've bought for my kids in the past have long since been sold off for model purchases.

Btw, you'll have to put 'Brit Ex Pat' or similar on your signature, otherwise you'll get us into more trouble when people have forgotten about this thread

And the excuse 'Its in the loft somewhere' is always a good one when they ask where it all is Oz;):D.

Rob, I guess it's worth a try, but not many Aussie homes have lofts or attics as it's way too hot up there most of the year and those heavy concrete tiles need a lot of bracing

Of course:eek: Yes i can imagine the heat would be extreme up there,do you guys have more basements then?.They are not everywhere here but some have them.We have a loft,to which i make the annual trip for Christmas decos:)

Not many basements here either Rob :( Most Aussie homes are built on concrete slabs as we have few problems with ground freezing and expansion. The other thing against lofts/attics here is our fondness for open plan construction so we have limited internal supporting walls except in older homes. My house is on a concrete slab with a concrete tiled roof, and is open plan - so I badly need a 6m x 6 m shed the same as Simmo.

I see, looks like the shed is the way to go then Oz,i'd like a shed thats devoted to my collection, mines full of the normal garden junk.

Rob

This Australian team is definitely in a rebuilding mode.
You cannot lose so many exceptional players over a short period of time and not expect it to make a difference.
Shane Warne was probably a once in a century type player like Don Bradman was.
So whilst I think this Aussie team is down I expect them to come back.
It just may take a few years.
I enjoyed the series. It was exciting, unlike the 2007 Ashes.

I'll post a pic of a 6 x 6 shed on Simmo's thread so everyone knows what he's talking about.

Wayne,
A brilliant idea !
Flintoff in Light Horse gear but holding a cricket bat leading the 4th LH.

Brett
PS Also remember the photos of the Aussie cricket team on their way to England four years ago. They stopped at Gallipoli and re-enacted a cricket match and were even wearing slouch hats.
