A spectacular, wonderful display, Louis.
Congratulations to this awesome addition to your collection.
As always with John's work, plenty of nice details.
In particular the depiction of your uncle, and "John with his German shepherd"

I'm sure this will get a special place of pride within your collection.

Cheers!

Konrad,

I have you to thank in good part, I would never have thought to ask John if I hadn't seen the wonderful displays he made for you.:smile2:

In that case, you are very, very welcome, Louis :salute::

What a wonderful creation. The self-figure of John and the figure of your uncle are really special. I really like the small details that can be picked out such as the chalkboard with the finger-4 formation illustration and the universal warning about the Hun in the Sun. It is a spectacular addition. Congratulations. -- Al

Thanks, Al!:smile2: Speaking of small details, did you notice the rabbit in the grass near the mobile canteen?:wink2:

I didn't see it initially, but I went back and located the wascally wabbit. Nice touch.^&grin -- Al

Congratulations Louis. Looks like a splendid creation, with many details worthy of a museum display.

Brad

Thanks Louis. Nothing as elaobrate as yours, just a few figures but I'm excited about the project and working with John.

The first box, with the diorama bases, all the figures, and the accessories arrived today. Once the other boxes, containing the building and the plane arrive, I will take some nice close up photos of each figure in situ.

That's great news, Louis. Christmas in March. Well, this winter is deserving of two Christmas celebrations.:wink2: -- Al

After being stuck in customs for more than a month, they finally attempted to deliver the third and final box yesterday . . . and of course no one was home!:rolleyes2: I will go to the post office and pick it up tomorrow, and hopefully take and post some photos of the completed diorama.:smile2:

John just offered to do another wonderful air war related project that I can use with this diorama for me, and I immediately accepted. I will post more information once John gets going on it.^&cool

Good old customs authorities, no different the world over :( You must have been besides yourself. I need to get over to your house soon to have a look.

John is working on two different projects for me, some German Imperial figures and a couple figures from the book Parade's End by Ford Maddox Ford.

Sounds very cool, Brad. I look forward to seeing the projects John does for you as well.:smile2:
