Greyhound- WW2 Tom Hanks Movie Trailer (1 Viewer)

Navy! This looks really good. Can only hope it reaches the quality of 'In Which We Serve'. -- Al

I always have enjoyed classic Destroyer vs Uboat film The Enemy Below . . . This trailer looks like Greyhound will surpass it . . .

I know that at first, that comparison comes to mind, but I don't know if I'd make it. The stories are a little different. "Greyhound" is based on CS Forester's novel, "The Good Shepherd". I understand that it focuses on the commander's own self-doubts about his command, as he shepherds the convoy. I think we'll find that both films stand on their own.

Prost!

Was going to mention that movie but you beat me to it.{sm4} The trailer looks great, on my must see list. Chris

I would love to see someone do a movie telling the story of the tin-cans of Taffy 3 in the battle off Samar on 10/25/44. The US Navy doesn't get better than that. :salute:: -- Al

Wow, thirteen posts in and no sign of Larry? I figure he stroked out and went face down into his morning cinnamon roll when he saw the preview..........

Ok all joking aside, now I am worried, not like Larry to not chime in on a WWII naval movie.....................hope he's ok..............I'm going to send him an email..................

No reply back, but I see he's been posting in other threads, so he's upright thankfully,....................ok, all is well.

That U boat Captain seems like a nice sort of guy. Seems concerned Tom Hanks might not make it through the night.
