In my spare time... (1 Viewer)

Very well done and impressive. I love scratch built terrain and buildings. Always adds something unique to the dioramas. Chris

while waiting for my next figure purchase...

I have made a few things to display figures on...

I just bought a Hirst Arts "fieldstone" mold and have been dying to use it...

here is a small building I made using it...

the interior is finished out...the roof is detachable...it's mounted on a small base with some groundwork...rocks...grass...shrubs...etc...

the windows and doors are also finished on the interior...

the roof cover is removable...it's very sturdy and well constructed with plenty of detail...

here's a few pics

Only just discovered this thread Mike and your work is absolutely fantastic, you have real talent there mate.

Rob

Mike your buildings are getting more polished with each new release. Really you should go into business, another accessory maker, there is room with only a few to choose from currently. Robin.

John...I do all my own repairs...if you have the right materials and the patience...it's not too hard...I have never even owned a "War Bird"...but I would help you with any repairs you need...I'm planning a trip to San Antonio when it cools down...

Wayne...thanks for taking the time to comment...I appreciate the flattering comments...I actually attempted a church a while back...it was a fun build...I sold it on Ebay...here are some pics...

So Mike are you pieces made out of Poly Stone?

John your neighbor

John...most of the buildings are made of industrial sheathing (foam board)...they are lightweight but once coated in a stucco patch are extremely hard shell finished...

Brad...there is nothing I make that you can't make...and probably make it better than me...I'm not especially gifted...it's just a fun past time for me...if you ever find the time and want to take the plunge into modeling...I will offer any assistance you require...they are actually quite simple to make once you have the right materials...let me know if you want to try...I'll send you my phone number...

Mike, sorry for the late delay on this as I just saw your response. I don't know: you do a terrific job. I suppose if I had the time and initiative (I'm lazy) I might do a job as half as good as yours; I'm the person who failed wood shop in the 8th grade {eek3}
