KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- June 2016 (2 Viewers)

Way to mix it up andy, luv the jagdpanzer and zero. Great stuff

as for the word japs, common guys we aren't really argueing over this term. Nips would be bad , japs is just a short desriptive term for japenese soldiers, away with all the pc crap. I have gained some weight over the years and have got fat. And people have called me fat. I live with it. Live is to short to sweat this little stuff.

I created a holding thread so this one can get back to discussing the most recent K&C releases.

Please do not post in this thread about the use of the word Jap or other topics related to this discussion.

Jagdpanzers, Airborne, Robin Hood and Japanese Zeroes, OH MY!

Jagdpanzers, Airborne, Robin Hood and Japanese Zeroes, OH MY!

Have ordered the Zero and Hitler/Mussolini. The Zero will be my first of the Asian theatre pieces and really looking forward to it.

Have had a cursory glance around for the three previous Zeros, but seems not all readily available.

In my personal opinion the new Paras look very well done and the black outlining are not as noticeable (which is a good thing) and remind me of the older releases like "beach under fire sets" which I truly loved, also the new German tank looks pretty nice as well, overall a big release with many options to pick and choose from...Sammy

I love that wounded para. Thankfully for my wallet, I don't collect these, but if I did, I'd have my order in already.

Also thankfully, there is no red cross on the "medics" uniform since I collect all medics {sm3}

Agreed on the wounded para, that is a cool action piece.

I will probably be picking up the wounded para set and perhaps several others.

I'd guess that he's not actually a medic, just another paratrooper giving "buddy aid."

What's a holding thread, and where do I find it?

Hi Vicknor,

There is ONE Japanese Zero (JN14) still available on www.mmtoysoldiers.com (At least I think it is still there? )

I'm in for the Zero and a couple of the paras. Can't resist as my son served 5 yrs in the 101st.
Were there any retirements? Didn't see them. Chris

Terrific monthly dispatch K&C! For those collectors who appreciate such things the facial sculpts and painting of the new Japanese pieces are super, for lack of a better description they just look Japanese! The Green Zero is awesome...if I didn't already have the first Navy version I'd snatch it up in a second. The German tank definitely deserves mentioning. The detachable side skirt to me represents an appreciation and evolution in KnC product to respond to ever increasing demands from collectors. Its a great innovation that I whole heartedly endorse. Whenever pieces have increasing options and choices I'm in. Kudos. :salute::

Chris:

I missed this post the first time around. Please pass on my family's heartfelt gratitude to your son for his service.

Best,
Jason
