Where to start on all these sets! Liking them all, especially the figure with the Russian SMG.

Agree with you on the 2nd Gen WW2 Germans, think the 1st Gen of these figures are some of the finest K & C figures, i have nearly all of them and they have really stood up to the test of time. Re-sale values are high. Have a couple of 2nd Gen already and they are excellent. The new ones will be go 'the list', but the new BotB will be jumping straight to the top and i will be ordering them later this month, the two figure set even 'looks cold'.

I remember when this range was originally released and instantly liked them. I particularly liked the poses/sculpting and painting. Andy has a knack of producing figures that interact and compliment each other.

I have a pet hate for the secondhand market when sellers often ask silly prices. Some say it puts off budding collectors and does little to enhance or encourage new collectors to the hobby.

Without new blood the hobby will die and figures will end up being worthless.

I think its a smart move by Andy to do this and gives collectors an affordable opportunity to grab some 'classic' figures.

Just my five cents worth......

Thankyou mate for your appreciative words and thanks also to all the other guys for their positive comments too and Robin, of course, for his pix…

On my recent ‘OzTrip’ I was fortunate once more to visit beautiful Adelaide and pay my second visit it to view and marvel at Robin’s monumental and magnificent collection and the bloody great ‘Shed’ where he houses it in and displays it.

Collections come in all shapes and sizes but what all collectors have in common is our passion for the hobby and the pure enjoyment and fun we have and share with many other like-minded individuals all over the world.

As both a collector myself and a ‘maker’ also a very big THANKYOU to everyone!
All the best and happy collecting,
Andy.

Well Poppy, speaking personally, I’ll take ‘Capitalism’ over ‘Socialism’ any day of the week!

Best wishes,
Andy.

I'd take a mixture, we need both, greed can be a motivator, but there are times when we all need to work together and do or pay for things that are for the greater good. Never mind which is best, first of all i do not think we could agreed on defining what either economic system actually is?

However, i want to talk about the new releases, great new opportunities, i had started to look at clearing a bit of space for a new Desert Building, hopefully soon. Was looking at that, but the Bulge figures will be first to arrive, as i have just picked up WH091, Jadgpanzer, what a beast, one of my favs, excellent. On openning and setting up, i did utter "oh Duck", well something that rhythms with it. Same reaction as i had when i got the winter M36 Jackson a few weeks ago, that is another masterpiece, both for me are even better than the new Tiger 1 which i got in June 23, and that is saying something. I know to many the Tiger 1 is sacrilege, i have over a dozen, but the Jadgpanzer and M36 do hit the spot for me.

Also take a look at those bases on the new Waffen SS figures, looks like a lot of work has gone into the detail.

Finally, Andy hope you and the K & C staff/family are all OK after the Typhoon, saw the news of it and it was certainly eyewatering [pun intended].

Great release again Andy.

I love those Marines and especially the vehicle yellow markings.

Question: Aside from the tank number, are there any difference between? Are the figures exactly the same too?

Thanks and I'll see you in Chicago!

Agree mate but obviously, there is a market otherwise it wouldn't be happening.
I have seen things sell that I would have gladly parted with for half of what was paid, what you after Mate I am clearing out because of personal reasons so drop us a line will do you a bargain.

Gentle Friends,

Just as a reminder, political discussions are not allowed on the forum. Thanks for your understanding.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Just returned from a trip, looks like I missed some debate. Hopefully he will keep his political opinions to himself in the future.

Hi Pat,
Why was my last post removed…?
All I said was that we should all get back to talking toy soldiers…Hardly confrontational or political.
Best wishes,
Andy.

Agreed. K&C's monthly dispatches seem to attract political "bomb-throwers". I would rather talk about the releases. We do, after all, like or love Andy's work. We may have critiques about a release, but political views have nothing to do with Andy's dispatches.

K&C has the largest amount of postings on the forum whether it be New Releases, Dioramas and they tend to be the longest running of threads too on Toy Soldier subjects with the various lines and releases on this forum by a long chalk and so topics that should really of been on different threads naturally gravitate to K&C's ones is how I see it and people do veer from core of the subject. I know as I do it all the time !

This thread should be focused on the September Releases....or maybe these?

Breaking news on the King & Country front!
https://bit.ly/KC-Up
Two new Kursk Tiger Tanks up for pre-order and expected in November and December. Pre-order early as these are limited to 250 of each model.

superbe !
excellent !

Haven't the foggiest idea what 'Francis' has posted, however great to see a new member joining in.

Cheers Mate.

I've been absent for a few days and a bit shocked to see all the deletions too Andy.

I fear my posts regarding the prices some sellers are asking for second hand figures has creating some controversy, however were related to the release of the 2nd generation K&C figures in the September dispatches.

The deletions and edits are very disappointing.

PS. love the new Kurst Tiger. :salute::

Nor I Toddy, I was never any good at learning foreign languages at School !
However Google translate came out with this:

I have a hard time understanding this price increase...
How much should we expect that of Normandy?
Egyptian tanks at 300 euros minimum and the next tigers at 500 euros... KC and JJD asked themselves the question of whether their customers will be able to absorb such high prices... It's
even a carbon copy of that of the Ardennes with another camouflage so easier to design, right?
It becomes extremely difficult...

Cheers Steve, appreciate the translation mate. :wink2:^&grin I wasn't aware of the price increase for the new Tiger and understand why collectors would be disappointed.

I was fortunate to grab the new winter Tiger and its awesome, however everything seems to cost more these days, including this hobby, hence my earlier comments regarding prices for second hand TS items.

While there's no point moaning about the prices increases, I still think its important to raise it here.

Andy,
Really excited for the re release of the Waffen SS figures. Great Idea. Gives the new collector a chance to to pick up some great past releases.
Big Question? Will this translate to German Armor as well? There are some great armor pieces that some new collectors would love to add to their collection. JagPanther, JagPanzer, a long/short barrel Stug III for example.
