King & Country Museum Under Construction (2 Viewers)

I just e-mailed brad 5 photos of the all but completed project, with only plumbing, painting, upholstering and carpeting to go. The plumber will be here tomorrow. The priming and painting starts next week.

Well, with construction 99.9% completed, here are some photos with only painting, upholstering & carpeting to go. The first shot, facing the rear wall, depicts the completed rear banquette, ready for painting, as well as the spot-light fixtures and the recessed lighting fully installed.

This photo depicts the front banquette, with the new bannister and railing.

This photo depicts the chandlier installed over the top of the stairs.

This photo depicts the directional spot light fixture installed in the aircraft room.

This room should be the NAPOLEON ROOM !

:D

just as easily it be called the WELLINGTON ROOM :D :D :D

sorry, I couldn't resist that.
OK Honestly, I swear that my allegiance lie with the Emperor.

Louis ... your project is looking very, very good. Must warm your heart. :)

OldDragon:

The Emperior will not be pleased with your comment.

Perhaps a little frontline time in Spain is needed for you??

Don't make me exile you both to St. Helena! Besides which, I owe my allegience to someone whose initials are A.C.N., so perhaps I will have to call it the Neilson room.

The plumber came today, but couldn't move those two small black pipes visible in some of the photos, so we are going to have them boxed in as a faux chimney. The heating will be baseboard. I put a deposit down on the carpeting, which will be installed after the painting and upholstery. We are maybe a week away from beginning the installation of the K&C products.

This is all incredible ! :D

I dont think I have have ever seen a construction project go up with such ease and speed.

Congrats!!

Hello Louis - Tim Tyler introduced me to you in Chicago last year. I do not know if you recall , I had my nine year old son with me as you might recall. I think Lawrence Lo was with you too at the time...I just wanted to say I really have enjoyed watching your project develop. I showed it to my the other day and she was equally impressed. She said .."...well if we move and buy another house...We can get a toy soldiers room too.." hmmmmm.

Best Wishes on your "Grand Opening". I spoke to Tim the other day and asked him if he was going to the symposium and he said yes. I look forward to learing of his first hand account of your project.

Regards....Greg

Louis is there parking at the Cornell Club or a public garage near by ?
I am going to drive up from Washington and make some stops on the way back in Philly.
