I also am happy with these new LAH releases, and fully agree with both of you on the comments about the rope :redface2: and the dog :smile2:

I will get them all but agree, Mitch the rope looks a little off.Mike B.

I can see the arch being used as a walkway for parading troops rather than with the stairs. Plenty of possibilities for this dio piece

I think the "Archway" has its origin here:

I think you are right about where they have based the release from. This is CS territory for a full version.

I had a bit of an Albert Speer interest some years ago and I recall that he presented drawings of some of his designs to Hitler as though they were crumbling ruins a thousand years in the future. Hitler was quite impressed - perhaps something for our diorama experts to have a go at - the LAH series in the year 3000!

I wonder what ever happened to Speers model of ''GERMANIA'' (How Berlin would look in 1950) that he made for Hitler, perhaps it ended up in some long forgotten NKVD cellar in Moscow.
Wayne.

There is photographic evidence that they were destroyed shortly after the war. What a man speer was. conned a war crime tribunal that he was in remorse and made he was nothing close to a fervent nazi. well, he was but, only when the going was good. Should have hung at Nuremburg with the rest. But, got away free clever man

Correct, although had Speer been Russian he would have been just as fervent a communist! His relationship with Hitler was certainly not a homosexual one, but it was certainly a very intense bromance. Lucky not to hang - the benefit of being an intelligent, well spoken man surrounded in the dock by oafs.

Was there any evidence of any homosexual relationships with his entourage then? Its always seems to be whispered about him but don't often see any real evidence it happened. If it was just an invented slur you'd have to ask why, its not like they had nothing else to accuse him of!!{eek3}

How awesome are all these going to look together.

Wayne/Oliver...

They will make some stunning displays and, you definately need extra sides pieces to make the structure look right. fortunately, K&C don't do limited runs of these which, allow people to get a sufficient number to meet their needs.

I have 4 x the Annex and 2 of the HQ plus 2 x Nuremburg Nazi Eagle and 1 x the Nuremburg Review Stand should all look great together.

I always thought about having a second Nuremburg Nazi Eagle, but this one should look to the left - facing each other. But so far I haven't found a way to do that.

I have four annex sides for the original LAH buildings, one large eagle and several eagles on plinths from the newer range. I will more than likely do the same with this as I seem to build in fives with building releases.

I still fancy getting a centre piece four front sections and then have one deep and five at the back closing the whole structure like a proper building then make myself a roof to enclose the lot. It would mean joining the buildings together with some bonder or other but, it would be a great center piece for a collection. Its just everytime I think of doing it and add the price I think how many more troops I can get and stick with the ones I have. Would like to see the Lichterfeld barracks done by K&C for this range also.

I might be alone on this, but I feel the original LAH042 HQ was better designed. The lettering on the building, the detail at the top of the banners and the overall simplicity of the design seems more appealing to me. The new version is fine, but don't you think it has just too many features as if it was designed by a committee?

How come they never rectified LAH 139 and 140
the flagbearer and the banner man ??
They are off beat and they are the only two
that are off beat. Don't make sense to me
Anybody has the answer to that ??
They are the ones who stopted me from going LAH
Thank u
