Hey Oz, I wished I lived in a remote area!! we live in a pretty new development about 15 years old surrounded by 3 major school systems and a ton of new homes but my views from across the desert to the Mountain ranges (pic taking from the front of my house) can not be developed on because of a water drain put in years ago in front of our neighborhood which is fine with me!!

Probably won't have a BBQ on the porch tonight ....:rolleyes:

God bless you Mr Larry, how on earth do you shovel all that snow, I know you've got a snow blower, but still, you can't use that on a porch.

I hope you have a plow blade you attach to the front of your truck.........................

We've been having strong winds with heavy rain, which I am not happy about. I don't how you guys deal with all that snow and freezing temps.

Sammy, you see any large critters out your desert window? Looks like a place with lots of animals.

Good to know your mountain snow views can't be built out. The highest mountain in Queensland is about half the height of Mt Lemmon, no snow there :cool:

Don't see to many, we did have a Mamma Roadrunner and a few babies of hers that lived close to the wash but haven't seen them in awhile, if I get up early in the morning 2-3 A.M. once in awhile I hear Coyotes howling off in the distance, other then that not much at all.

Record temps here in the 60s and 70s. I'm not ready to declare victory yet, but this has been a mild winter for us in terms of snow and cold. It seemed like most of it went just north to NE.

Oh goody, a bumper crop of bugs. Stand by with weighted breath.

We're supposed to get something like 6-12 inches in this area starting Monday night, and then some more on Wednesday. The last cry of winter, hopefully.

We are in for 15 inches starting tues am through wed am! I am not pleased 😁

Feel free to play defense and keep it in nj!

We almost made it through the winter without any significant snowfall here in the DC area. In fact, our region has been so dry this winter, we are technically in a drought. If we get smacked as bad as they say we are, we could get up to several inches. Oh well, even if it falls, it won't last too long and Opening Day is right around the corner. Get out the snow shovels and baseball bats. -- Al

I don't see any one here obsessing. I can't say the same for the supermarkets. Rather crowded today.

Overnight snows are the worst to clean up. You go to bed with no snow and and wake up with a foot or more in your driveway that weighs a ton. Even with a snow blower, once it gets to a certain height it becomes heart attack time to plow through. If it snows during the day, you can run over it after several inches have fallen and keep it manageable. I don't mind one big snow a year. I can live with that. I think we have had less than 5 inches of snow this entire winter. So I can't complain.

We are supposed to get 12-24 inches over the next day or so. You know the old saying, March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb. Well is still roaring in my neck of the woods.{sm4}

We have had no snow all season (maybe a couple cms at the beginning of December but it soon went) Now it appears to be snowmaggedon, first day driving after recuperating from a fractured ankle and getting used to a new vehicle and I get this ! BAH roll on spring.
