I didn’t take as many photos as usual but it is always a pleasure to try and cover as much of the show as possible, and so thanks for all the thanks! I’m sure that there will be more from the less sober element of the TF brigade once they get home! :wink2:
The show seemed a little quiet at times and a few of the regular dealers were missing but others had taken their place, but this is the June show and what with the fine weather the UK has been experiencing for the last week or so this might have something to do with it. Having said that we all cleared off to the Steam Passage Tavern just after 1pm so the afternoon might have been busier? There were quite a number of French and Belgian dealers in attendance including forum member Michel who apart from his impressive display of figures had a box of really nice Belgian chocolates!
As Rob has already pointed out the TF brigade’s lunch time gathering (for want of a better word) is now becoming the highlight of the show! It was great to meet and put names to faces. In no particular order in attendance there was Rob, James, Andy, Kevin, Howard, Simon, Chris, Louis, Steven, Bob, Jeff and we were joined for part of the time by Trudi (Bob’s wife) Jenny (Howard’s wife) and Jill (Chris’s wife).
Just one of the best times I’ve had in a while – what a laugh – we discussed everything from accents to military service, food, sheep (don’t ask!) taxes, a certain forum member and of course model soldiers! Shame it had to end.
I would just like to finish by saying what a pleasure it was to meet everyone and I hope you are all enjoying your stay over here.
:salute:::salute:::salute::
