I recently got a couple of the PA regiment booster sets. Like many of us here, I cannot get enough of John's FIW figures. They are simply outstanding!

Had some time to set up a small dio...........hope you like it:

Love the Fall background scenery!!! the JJD troops go hand in hand with the setting and look fantastic.

Wonderful Scene and Brilliant Idea of Fall Colors, very much appreciate the posting.

If you have any of the 60th Marching Sets, those could be easily added or the earlier BM Virginia Sets under the umbrella of the successful 1758 Forbes Expedition, Fort Duquesne (Pittsburgh). As it regards the use of canes by officers, James Wolfe commonly carried only a cane, reference the Osprey Volume on the Siege of Louisbourg, 1758. On the cover drawing, Wolfe is only carrying his cane.

Again Beautifully Done

Love it. The autumn colors combined with the attractive green and red uniforms makes for a brilliantly colorful dio. :salute:: -- Al

Absolutely gorgeous.:salute:: Apart from that, my only thought is that those guys need to get the campaign wrapped up before winter arrives.:eek:

Nothing like troops on mass for a WOW factor and set with a striking backdrop.:salute::, Robin.

Mark, you earned it!:salute::

I believe that's the most likes I've seen on the JJD forum since Mike Miller did one of his big spreads.

That's some pretty good company!^&cool

Mark, I can only echo all the praise for a beautiful backdrop to a very impressive Regt. Those green uniforms are splendid. Chris

MARK! That is a fantastic display of John's solders and your diorama talents. A simple BUT very effective scene.
Is that a backdrop or real (model) trees ...? It looks so good it is hard to tell.

Gold Medal to Mark for this one!! {sm4}

PS: How did you get rid of the bases? <Copy><Paste> or a tool. It looks very effective.

Thanks Larry for the comments.

Those are real trees. Ken Osen made them for me way back long ago. As for hiding the bases, I simply brushed up the grass from the grassy bass to cover the figure's bases. For those bases that didn't get good *coverage*, I touched up with Photo Shop Editor.
