Last year I was approached by fellow member and asked if I could do a job for him to restore a set of figures he'd recently acquired. He said they looked like a 'load of junk' but underneath there could be some gems, going on the paintwork.
They arrived in May and my first task was to sort out what way there and could they be rescued.
The figures were mostly HMofGB and consisted of people, tables and goods for sale.
I sorted them into similar types, children, ladies, women(*), men, tables, boxes and goods.
Note* that the ladies were the buyers, and the women were the sellers.
Similar to the Army in the 1800's .... Officers had ladies, Sergeants had wives, and the other ranks had their women !!!!
Pictures attached show them as they arrived .....
More to follow ...
