Mike Tarantino's Toy Soldier Collection (1 Viewer)

I recently traded a new, MIB Hiriart Greek Evzones set (1119) for this old, glossy set from Frontline Figures. It is Frontline set P.S.2 WORLD WAR I GENERALS. The six generals are from left to right Pershing, Joseph, Haig, Foch, Hindenburg, and Brinken. It is set number 304 of 1,000.

Hiriart has produced an extensive number of 19th and 20th Century Colonial Africa sets from Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. This catalog set in my collection is 1291 Corpi Truppe Coloniali, Libya, 1929. It represents the III Bataglione d'Ascari Libiche which has red sashes, tassels, and flag. There are several other, non-catalog sets of other batagliones with different color schemes. The first photo does not show the bugler that comes with this nine man set.

Oh, that is a very striking set. ^&cool -- Al

Thanks Al, I agree. It is one of the first 30 Hiriart sets I ordered in 2005. My best guess is that eight or so other collectors have also ordered this set since then. In fact, there are two sets on my current 2012 Hiriart order. At least three of those other collectors also ordered add-on sets of the African native bearer.

My Hiriart collection also includes sets which I refer to personality sets which include a famous personage. These sets have eight figures as compared to non-personality sets with nine figures. This is Hiriart Set 1178 WORLD WAR II JAPANESE IMPERIAL NAVY WITH YAMAMOTO.
