Great series of camel sets. Quite like the red and the blue/gray uniform jackets. Will make a very impressive and varied display. Camels everywhere. ^&grin -- Al

Thanks Al. Among them, I think I like the red tunic British camel corps best. I can't wait until I make more room so I can display them.

This camel set in my collection is Hiriart's set number 1321 British Artillery on Camels, Khartoum, 1885. This is a popular set that I have ordered for eight to ten other collectors, too. I also have two other Hiriart camel sets (World War I Turks and Australians in Palestine) in my collection, but I only have stock photos of them, so I won't post them here.

Thank you Martyn. I have seen Little Legion's camel corps sets and they are great, too.

I have that set, many thanks to Mike, and it's a beauty. Chris

Hi Chris,

I am glad you like it. BTW, you should be receiving your Hiriart set 1325 Sudanese Camel Corps, 1897 any day now. It was mailed on Wednesday.

This is another Hirart set that I have in my collection, again, still tied in its original box. It is 1124 Royal Horse Artillery Gun Team.

These are the Royal Horse Artillery escorts that I ordered as a non-catalog set to go with the RHA gun team above.

This is a special Hiriart non-catalog set I have in my collection as a band based on catalog set 1131 Tirailleurs Algerien Turcos. On a future order, I have another special non-catalog set that I will be ordering of the Turcos as mountain artillery with mules.

Hi Mike, one thing I've noticed about these Hiriart figures (apart from the old Britains look about them) is the neatness and finishing of the painting.

You have a very wonderful collection. {bravo}}

Jeff

I agree that they are pretty neat classic 54mm glossy toy soldiers. Thank you for your kind words.

Here are the close-ups of the other Hiriart Turcos band members in the set, so that you can get a better view of the various instruments.

Here is another desert themed Hiriart camel set I have in my collection: 1202 Fort Saganne based on the French movie of the same name (which I have not seen).

Great and unusual set Mike. Tommy

Thanks Tommy. It is unusual. I liked the marching Arab figure's uniforms so much that I also ordered this special variation of the set
with an officer and eight men.

Here is a photo of my Hiriart set 1292 Camellato Sahariano, Italia. As the name implies, this is an Italian Camel Corps set.
