I like these prone firing sets Mike. They have the field packs and have not "dropped" them as the earlier sets have {bravo}}

Cheers

Martyn, so do I. I also like the field packs versions better. I have two more ACW42 sets to post.

Mike

Martyn has already answered, but if you look at the label for ACW3 its says THE CHARGING SET and then describes the contents in the box: Officer with Drawn Pistol, 5 men with Rifles and Bayonets. Someone (I don't believe it was Trophy) has then hand written "54th N.Y." on the label. The ACW1 THE FIRING SET is similar with the description of the contents then a hand written regiment designation.

Thanks. I will take a look at the ones I have.

This is Trophy's Set No. ACW42X, CSA INFANTRY PRONE FIRING. The Army of Northern Virginia is hand written on the label by me. I can't remember how I came up with the information to designate this set as such. Maybe, it was wishful thinking since my wife and I moved to northern Virginia right after we got married and lived there for three years. Also, I am not sure why this set has the "X" designation while the two previous versions didn't have a letter following the ACW42. Anyway, I really like this set especially because of their colorful blanket rolls and patched butternut uniforms.

Well, that was the last of my Trophy ACW sets. I use to have others, but I decided to stop collecting Trophy and Imperial ACW a few years ago, since I already had so many ACW sets from Frontline and Edmunds. I sold off all my Imperial ACW sets and the Trophy Hand-to-Hand and flagbearer sets before I had a change of heart. I also sold my Trophy Crimea War sets since I had so many from Frontline and, to a lesser extent, Imperial. Anyway, this is the last Trophy Crimea War set I have left: Set CWS.2 THE RIFLE BRIGADE. According to the box label, CWS.2 also was available as The Royal Welsh Fusiliers or The Sherwood Foresters.

Great set {bravo}}

The Indian Mutiny is one of my favourite Trophy series Mike :salute::

Hi Martyn,

It is an interesting series. Do you have this set in its correct box?

Mike

Yes Mike. I think the end label just has a hand written set number but the box lid has a similar sticker to the one you have, but it reads "THE INDIAN MUTINY"

Cheers

Martyn:)

I have been busy working with the latest Hiriart delivery (and still am), but I will take more photos of my boxed sets ASAP. This is my Bastion Models set A.36 WORLD WAR I U.S. INFANTRY from Andrew Rose.

This is a group of three sets from Frontline Figures Seven Years War series: PUS.3, PUS.4, and PUS.5 PRUSSIAN ARMY, 18TH REGIMENT. Frontline makes wonderful, relatively inexpensive toy soldiers; it has always been a mystery to me why they are not as popular as some of the other Chinese manufacturers.

Here is a recently acquired Beau Geste set: Number 127 STRELETS, 1ST "BLUE COAT" DIVISION OF SECHEVIYE STRELTSI, UKRAINE, 1918. This is the only Ukranian toy soldier set in my collection. Very unusual subject matter.
