Mlb 2022 (2 Viewers)

their record this year is incredible...
I don't know what the record is...
but 120 wins this year is doable...
they are very comfortable at home...rarely losing...
seems like Boston was in the cellar just a month ago...
today they are the 3rd seed in the entire AL...
I don't hate the Yankees per say...or any team for that matter...
their past is just that...the past...
but to be diplomatic...
there are 4 other teams in the East I would rather see win...lol...

Astros have been and are now really hurting for bats right now...
Alvarez just re-sprained his wrist went on 10 day IL...Dusty did it so he would get extra rest from the All Star break...
Brantley still on 10 day IL...really miss his bat too...
Castro now on 10 day IL...
Pena finally got off the IL yesterday...glad to have his bat back...
hopefully McCullers will finally get back in the starting rotation after the break...
doing a 6 man rotation right now...which I don't care for...need Frambar/Verlander/Javier on the mound often...all 3 are hot right now...
somebody is gonna get sent down when McCullers gets back...
looking for a healthy team after the break...maybe make a good push after the break...

Al, he never should have left although I understand the Nats had to sign Strasburg (which hasn’t worked out too well either). Sometimes players need to realize that they have it better where they are playing.
Yep. Seems loyalty and big paychecks don't go too well together, with the occasional exception like Trout. which is why I like Trout. Just too bad the Angels have'nt been able to make that loyalty payoff in post-season appearances. -- Al

Just get healthy in time for the playoffs, that's all you need, they will be fine, they always seem to find a way to get things done, a very steady and consistent team for a long time, they survived the whole cheating scandal nonsense and have put it behind them, their players are focused and have shut out all the noise and the BS, good for them, good for their fans.

The fans didn't deserve to be dragged through the mud, glad they stayed loyal and are still supporting the team, they were the innocent victims over what happened.

As a Patriots fan, I know that feeling..............;).............

Stop presses! For the first time since Sept. 2017, the O's are at .500! 9 in a row after a 4-2 win over the Cubs. -- Al

Every team in the AL East are .500 or above. Congrats Al.
Mark

Mark, at .500, the O's are stilll in last place in the AL East, but their record would tie them for 2nd in the AL Central or 3rd in the AL West. O's just happen to be in the best division in MLB. Them's the breaks.{sm3} -- Al

10 in a row for the Orioles!!! After the last 5 or 6 years I had forgotten how much fun Baseball is when you have a team that can win a series or two....just for George...let's go O's!!!🙂

Jeremy Pena...Astro's shortstop...
what a liability he is...anytime a ball is hit to him...I cringe...
66 games...13 errors...leads the league in errors...
that's works out to 1 error every 5 games...what a funky stat that is...
he ain't no Correa...

Nice win for the Dodgers. Down 6-0 to the Cards in the 7th. They win 7-6. They are like a sleeping giant.

Last series before the break for the Orioles and against the Rays in Tampa which have beating us like a red headed step child for the last few years...I could care less about a streak if the O's can just win this series it would be a great step going into the break.

After blowing a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the ninth, an inning in which the Gashouse Gorillas scored the tying run without a single ball leaving the infield (other than the errand throw to 3rd which resulted in the tying run scoring), the Red Sox won it in the 11th, scoring the go ahead run when a wild pitch clanked off the catchers mask and went far enough into play for the runner on third to score.

48,248 Gashouse Gorilla fans filed out of Yankee stadium dejected.....................gee, too bad.

Boone got tossed doing his ****ty Earl Weaver/Billy Martin impression, crying over low strike calls on Lurch; when you're 9 feet tall, most strikes are going to be low, they've called them like that on him forever, so stop crying over it.

Nats preparing to say 'Adios' to Juan Soto after that Prima Donna rejected a huge contract offer from the Nats for $440 million over 15 years. That little snot is a heck of a ball-player but not worth crippling the franchise for a decade and a half. Adios, Juan. -- Al

Find myself wondering how opposing pitchers are supposed to navigate the NYY lineup. 91 games in and the Yanks already have 7 men with 30+ RBI's (11 with 20+) and 6 men with double figure Hr's. Cripes, even a pickup like Carpenter is murdering the ball with 13 Hr's and 30 Rbi's in just 30 games (75 ABs). The Evil Empire is alive and well at this point in the season. -- Al

Al...
I have been studying their stats some the last few weeks...
they have so many power hitters...
once they get base runners...they can put up crooked numbers with one swing of the bat...
Judge...Stanton...Rizzo...Torres...Carpenter...Gallo...
the only teams that can stand up to them need to be loaded with great pitching...

If things play out the way they should, the gashouse gorillas will play Houston in the ALCS, then the Dodgers in the World Series.

Houston has the second best team ERA in MLB currently at 3.00, the Dodgers have the best ERA at 2.98.

So if the gashouse gorillas beat both of those teams, then they will have deserved to win the WS.

As the saying goes, good pitching beats good hitting most of the time.

Time will tell.

I saw where he turned down that offer.

He clearly wants out of Washington, just like Betts turned down a huge offer from the Red Sox, he clearly wanted out too.

Good; the Dodgers can have him.

The problem is when you trade a player like Betts or Soto, you don't get back an equal return, the Red Sox got Verdugo, Downs and Wong, only Verdugo is on the team and he's a middling/average at best player, Downs is God awful and Wong has been up and down and has really done nothing.

It sucks, but that's MLB for you.
