Sammy...I feel your pain...nobody wants to play them...so many power hitters...
last night Judge hit one literally over the train tracks at Minute Maid...don't know if it's landed yet...

The Mets play them next week. Bring ‘em on! Citifield will be rocking.

The Astros swept a double header from the Gashouse Gorillas last night, only 2 games behind them in the loss column for best record in the AL.

I'd put my money on Houston knocking them out of the ALCS, it will be a great series regardless.

I may be wrong...but I think they are 2 1/2 games behind them...if the Astros can get and stay healthy...don't wanna get ahead of myself...but it could be a really good series...they do have a good bullpen...

Only two behind in the all important loss column.

In the post season, it's all about pitching, specifically the bullpen.

Just getting home from work..O's down 6-3 in 7th...🤬 but I guess that's better then 25-3 in the 5th..wth??

I bet Warrior will have some interesting comments on this game. 25-3 my god!{eek3}

well...as bad as the final score sounds...
it only counts as 1 loss...
just like a 2-1 final score...

I shut it off when it was 5-0, I missed the inside the park grand slam on the fly ball to center field that Duran lost in the lights.

NFL camps open officially on Tuesday, so adios MLB for 2022, I'll tune back in once the playoffs start.

Prior to 2004, the Red Sox had not won a WS title in 86 years, then they staged the biggest comeback in MLB playoffs history, coming back from down 0-3 in the ALCS to the Yankees.

Then went on to win the World Series.

I thought of my Uncles Peter and Charlie and my two Grandfathers, all of whom loved baseball but never got to see their beloved Red Sox win a WS title.

After 1967, 1972, 1975, 1978, 1986, 2003, I was thrilled that I got to see one.

Just one.

Since then, they have won three more; somedays, I pinch myself over that, four WS titles in my lifetime.

As a fan, the Red Sox owe me nothing, we're a big market and it would be nice to field a competitive team, but only one team wins the whole thing ever year, the other teams are losers.

So, I'll gladly take the four WS titles, most recent one in 2018 when they were the best team in MLB wire to wire and took down three great teams, the Yankees, Astros and Dodgers.

The final score reminded me somewhat of a recent SB when the Patriots were down 28-3 to Atlanta.

Yesterday I had my annual physical; all bloodwork normal, EKG normal, BP 120/68.

Business is booming, I'm killing it this year, just bought a huge plastics collection that is literally plastic gold from the 60's through about 2015, it's all reitired/OOP stuff.

Today the sun is out and it's a beautiful day.

If they hold the Jays to two touchdowns today, I'll consider it progress.

It's all about perspective.

yea...if it were the Astros...
I would of flipped it off too and settled for a rerun of Judge Judy rather than watch that...
just one of those games...
a combination of a perfect storm and Murphy's Law for the Red Sox...
nothing went right...
still in striking distance to make the playoffs if they get on a run...

and again...whatever the score was...it's still only one loss...

How on earth do you score 25 runs in 9 innings, that's crazytown right there; considering how hot and humid it was last night, a lot of the Jays might be dehydrated today, maybe they had better take the day off................;).

Instead of Judge Judy, I watched the Heath Ledger version of The Four Feathers, pretty good battle scene, pretty sure those red jackets/tan pants get up the British were wearing was wrong, not an expert on the period by any means, thought they wore light blue jackets with the tan pants.

Again, I enjoyed the movie..........much more than the fans enjoyed the ballgame who were at Fenway last night.

That was a good rendition of Four Feathers but I still like the 1939 version the best.

Astro's are really blessed to have Verlander (13-3)...
no such thing as a "sure thing"...
but this year...he has been really close to it...
at 39 years old...with an amazingly healthy return from Tommy John's surgery...
another quality start today of 7 innings against Seattle giving up only a solo home run...

Verlander is doing for the Astros what Scherzer did for the Nats. We should send a thank you to Detroit. -- Al

Rumors are swirling the Red Sox have no intention of signing either Bogaerts or Devers, two young stars who came up through the organization.

This will not sit well with the fans, as stated this is a big market town, but the owners are acting like this is some Podunk town, first they traded away Betts, now this; will be interesting to see the blowback if ownership lets both of them walk.

Astros have a tough stretch ahead of them with no days off...
19 games in 18 days straight...no off days...
could put the bullpen in a pinch if they have to use several relief pitchers in a couple of games...
glad Pressley is back from paternity leave...
he shut down the 9th today allowing no base runners...
bringing his record up to 30 batters in a row not reaching a base...
finished in Seattle today...but still on their West Coast swing going to Oakland tomorrow...
before they go home to see Seattle for a 4 game series...
