Mlb 2022 (2 Viewers)

1st Orioles win at the Trop in 10 games!! Series tied, if we can pull off the rubber match tomorrow 🙏🏻 it's almost like a little playoff series for the O's in some ways...can we play with the teams and win in the East.??

Seattle is on a fantastic run...
moved up to a playoff spot with this amazing 13 win in a row run...
huge turn around for them...
kudos to Mariner's fans...

Well the Orioles gave the Rays a strong series all be it we lost 2 out of 3 in close contest...that being said, if you had told me in April we'd be a 500 club at the break, in a wild card hunt and playing this good I'd laughed you out the room!!! So let's draft good tonight, rest up..and bring on the evil Yankees this Friday for a 3 game series!!

92 games in and the O's are .500. Never would have hoped for it but thrilled to see it. Let's go O's! -- Al

No Trout for the all star game. Each year he seems to be getting injured more.

The Dodgers are finally showing some of that dominance. They've won 11 out of 12 and 15 of their last 17 games. Suddenly 10 games ahead of San Diego.

congrats to the Dodgers....O's and Seattle for closing out the 1st half so strong...
great push by all 3 teams...

my Astros need to heal up...
missing Yordan's and Uncle Mike's bat...
the Astro's line ups 2 best hitters...
Brantley has been out over 3 weeks with a shoulder injury...
Astro's are struggling badly to produce runs...

tough schedule ahead...
12 of their 15 first second half games are against NYY's...Seattle and Boston...

I wouldn't worry about Boston; they stink.

Lucky for you, they're not playing the LET'S GO O'S!! or you'd be in trouble.

Last place here we come.

The MLB draft was last night and today........................talk about a subdued event vs the NFL draft.

90% of these kids never even get to AA, nevermind the show.

I see the gashouse gorillas drafted some 6'7" oaf from Vanderbilt, imagine him and Lurch colliding in the outfield, the earth would get knocked off its axis.

Two of the pitchers the gashouse gorillas drafted have no chin; they'll fit right in with the current roster, they lead the league in "the most players on the roster with no chin."

That Carpenter story is something else, sucked the last three years, 36 years old, started out in AAA this year, got waved by the Rangers, gashouse gorillas picked him up for peanuts...................and he's tearing the cover off the ball, he "analyzed video of his swing", made adjustments and presto, he's Ruth, Mantle and Gehrig all rolled into one.

"Analyzed his swing" is code for "he's on the sauce"................what a joke, as is that 70's porn mustache of his, that's quite a cookie duster under his nose.

Looking forward to the second half.

My favorite team is the Mets and my second favorite team is whatever team is playing the Yankees.

Rumors are swirling about where Soto is going to land; would love to see him on the Angels as between Trout/Soto/Ohtani, they'd be a lock to go 79-83.

Don't forget the oft-injured Rendon. When he gets back, I'd say, with Soto, 76-86. :rolleyes2: -- Al

Soto would look great wearing Mets blue and orange.

And Steve Cohen has the money to keep him happy.

Alonzo, Marte, and Carrasco for Soto and Corbin. It's a deal. otherwise Soto ain't going to an NL East club. :wink2: -- Al

The Nats won’t trade within the division even though it will be years before they are competitive again. They are looking for prospects, not established players. I think it’s more likely than not, that due to the impending sale, he stays with the Nats.

Alonso is the heart and soul of the Mets. However, I don’t have any trouble trading him for a player like Soto; just not this year.

The Dodgers almost blew a 6-0 lead to the Giants but Mookie saved the day. They are really rolling coming out of the all star break. Five wins in a row and 12 out of 13.

Astros start a 3 games series against the SUPER HOT Seattle Mariners tonight...
Seattle has won 14 in a row...

Houston used 6 relief pitchers in the double header yesterday against the Yankees...
so I hope Urquidy can give them a quality start and go at least 6 innings...

Pressley...their closer...has been out for paternity leave...but his child is now delivered and I hope he will rejoin the team tonight...
he's been on a record run retiring the last 27 batters he has faced in his last 8 appearances...
Seattle is a really good team and scares me...
I'm worried about a let down after the Yankee's series...
