I saw that video...
"don't try this at home"...

he screamed like a little girl at Disney Land the whole way down...
should of left it to the professionals...

How you do that much damage sliding into a padded wall is beyond my comprehension, but they've been playing it on a loop on one of the local sports stations here in Boston, it gets funnier every time.

When your team stinks like the Red Sox do, this is what sports stations resort to.

Speaking of which, fans here are still torqued off over the way the LET'S GO O'S!! went wild in the last game of the 2011 season when they won the game in a walk off and knocked the Red Sox out of the playoffs.

Really, still upset over that are we?

The Red Sox have won two World Series since then, while the LET'S GO O'S!! haven't won a thing since the Reagan administration.

You have to take your victory laps when you get them, people need to let things go.

Thanks for the responses to my Dodgers/Yankees question. My query was mostly about national networks.

I do get more Dodgers coverage locally when I am in the Bay Area, but I always chalked that up to their Giants rivalry.

When I am in Texas, let’s just say that year round I get tons of high school, college and pro football stories before baseball even makes it into the sports report.

After the age of 40, no one should be going down a slide. Imagine the overweight drunkards in Milwaukee doing that. Let them beat each other senseless in the stands. I think McDonald's started removing all those playgrounds. They were probably getting sued left and right.

Anyone is permitted to go down Bernie’s slide for a fee of $175, provided you meet certain requirements and sign a waiver.

For that price, I could almost fill my car up. LOL. I know there is a lot of a disposal income, but that seems ridiculous. Hopefully some of that goes to a charity. I had to look up what is a "Bernie" having never seen a Brewers game. Small children must be terrified of that mascot.

Yup, after age 40, 50, 60, there are certain things you shouldn't be doing any longer for fear for shattering, ripping, blowing out or destroying body parts.

I remember about 15 years ago at Chicago, someone was moaning about a dealer having a box sticking out from the side of his table as a trip hazard, I was goofing around and "tripped on it", did my stunt man stop, drop and roll as a goof, bounced right back up and everyone was dying laughing.

If I tried that now at age 61, I'd break something sure as ****.

Sort of like that boob blowing down the slide and shattering his wrist and flapping around like a fish out of water.

That **** is on tape and will follow that halfwit around for the rest of his life like his shadow.

Solid move right there...................

That Aaron Boone press conference after yet another loss today was.................something.

"Like Reggie said, we have the pen, we can write the script, we've got the team that can do it, it's up to those guys in the locker room."

Ooof.

3-14 since the trade deadline; and to think I was pissed they got Benintendi, man does he suck, flopping all over the place in the outfield today.

14-25 in their last 39 games; Lurch has gone into a massive slump, their bullpen is a dumpster fire, what a hot mess.

Gee, the Yankees gagging in the dog days of Summer, Toronto only 7 games out, were down 16.5 at one point, what a shame.

I've seen this movie before; hello 1978.

Boone’s bravado in the first half of the season has been replaced by outright hostility as injuries and the pace of record stats has faded.

Easy to lead and run your mouth when everything is going great, not so much when it all goes wrong.

As one who lives in this area (although not a Yankee fan), the pressure on him from the fans (who are passionate) and the media is enormous. Unless you live in the East Coast (NY, Philly, Boston) or Chicago, you can’t appreciate the Heat coaches and managers are under. San Francisco and Texas are cakewalks compared to NY, which isn’t for everybody. So, unless you live here, you have no idea what it’s like.

We've had players sign here as free agents, Carl Crawford and Panda specifically, who had no clue what it was like to play in Boston/on the East Coast, both of them flamed out and were terrible free agent signings.

Never understood why the Yankees hired Boone, who had zero managerial experience, to run their team, he's a dumpster fire, that meltdown yesterday in the post game press conference was embarrassing, specifically when he slammed the table, then went on a rant about pens, Reggie Jackson, "We can write the script with this pen"................just bizarro world right there.

If George was still alive, he'd have fired him by now.

Astros salvaged being swept by beating Atlanta today...barely...closers blew the first 2 games...
Atlanta is a very good team...glad we don't play them often...
32 games in 32 days...get a day off tomorrow...

The Dodgers beat Miami like a Little League team this weekend outscoring them 19-4 over three games. LA is now 39-8 in their last 47 games. This may be the deepest Dodger team in history. No MVP numbers on offense, but every player in the line up is good. Muncy is also starting to show signs. If he and Bellinger can provide anything on offense, they are going to be a real beast. Dodger stadium was about half empty today on a perfect baseball day. I guess Miami is not a big draw at home or on the road.

Not one to ever pull for NY teams but hey...let's go Mets!!!😉
LOL. Sammy, I understand the sentiment but I am unable to ever pull for the Mets because of that 1969 thing. No tears shed for whichever way this series goes. :wink2: -- Al

The Glider celebrates as the Mets glide over the over confident Os.

Glad I was only 4 years old so no long term memories of that one, "69 sucked for Baltimore teams!!🤬

Yep, that was a bad sequence of title games. Probably could have lived with the Bullets losing to the Knicks, but the O's losing to the Mets and especially the Colt's loss to the Jets traumatized me for life. To this day, I can't root for the Jets, Mets, or Knicks under any circumstances. And that's the way it is on this day in August, 2022, some 53 years later. Might have to give some thought to getting over this trauma at some point...Naw, I enjoy the hate too much.:wink2: -- Al

Was that the Jets last playoff appearance Brad?? 🤣🤣

Not exactly but considering they haven’t been to the playoffs in 11 years and counting, it sure seems like it. Unlike NY baseball, NY football is a mess. NY basketball is nothing to talk about either.

Maybe Baltimore lost the SB in 69 but they sure have made up for it since.
