Agreed Mark it's nice to see nearly a 100 wins instead of a 100 losses!!!! Those years of 108, 110 losses were some of the darkest days in my baseball life!!!!...and to this day I refuse EVER to listen to Sister Sledge...We are family.

I feel the same way as you Sammy. I can't stand that We Are Family song....

A great but sad day all in one....Orioles have a chance to win the East tonight with a win and a Rays loss ( let's go Sox!!!)....but with heavy hearts the news of Brooks, folks talk about him being such a great player but even more a great and genuine Man .rest in Peace Brooks 🙏

Been some lean years lately with 100 plus season losses, without knowing how long the rebuild would take but with the addition of young talent, a few solid Vets the Os are back and hopefully Angelos will keep this team together for awhile 🙏 ....tonight AL East Champs, 30 year lease signed for Orioles at Camden Yards, 100 win tonight, and Triple A Norfolk won thier Division....not a bad night ❤️

I think the O's last 100 win season was in 1980. Congrats to the O's. A tremendous achievement. -- Al

Congrats to all Orioles fans. You got some real good young players, at least for 5 years.{eek3}^&grin. My Phillies got in but it's going to be tough to get past those Braves.

Thanks, Mark. Congrats on the Phillies getting in. IMO, it's going to be tough for anyone to get past the Braves. Their line-up is almost unprecedented in their offensive capabilities. Going to be a really interesting playoffs. Good luck to your boys. -- Al

Same for you and the O's. A Baltimore-Philadelphia matchup would be nice. ^&grin

Belated congratulations Al and Sammy. Hope you guys win it all.

Showalter out in NY. A bit of a shock after being MoY in 22. -- Al

I’m shocked but not surprised. There’s a new boss coming in, David Stearns, and although he doesn’t officially start until tomorrow I’m sure he told Cohen he wanted to hire his own manager.

I like Buck but he didn’t have a great year of managing. He favored veterans over rookies and did nothing to respond to all the times the players were hit this year. Alonso was hit a ridiculous amount of times this year and there was no retaliation. That can’t go on.

Craig Counsell is a possibility but he may want to stay in Milwaukee even though he’s unsigned.

Tim Wakefield has passed away. RIP.

Schilling leaked the news against the family's wishes that he had brain cancer afew days ago, now he has passed away, shocklngly fast, he was just on TV during a broadcast a several weeks ago.

One of the many heroes of the 2004 ALCS.

Very, very sad.

Watched parts of the different games and was impressed with the large and enthusiastic crowds, with the notable exception of the Tampa Bay game. Tampa was only able to draw 19,000 to the stadium. Large areas of empty seats. Tampa does nothing but win and still can't draw fans. -- Al
