BLONDE---director Andrew Dominik commented on his Marilyn Monroe biomovie based on the novel, "It’s an interesting time for BLONDE to come out. If it had come out a few years ago, it would have come out right when Me Too hit and it would have been an expression of all that stuff. We’re in a time now, I think, where people are really uncertain about where any lines are. It’s a film that definitely has a morality about it. But it swims in very ambiguous waters because I don’t think it will be as cut-and-dried as people want to see it. There’s something in it to offend everyone."

Also, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy commented on the future of the STAR WARS franchise and the hiatus after the controversial sequel trilogy and the failed SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY, “We all recognized, every single one of us, that this was a new chapter for the company and that we needed to all work together to create the architecture for where we were going.
Anyone who comes into the Star Wars universe needs to know that it’s a three-, four-, five-year commitment. That’s what it takes. You can’t step in for a year and shoot something and then walk away…. It requires that kind of nurturing.”
Kennedy said the Star Wars television success is due to Jon Favreau's dedication to the franchise, “He’s had a sole focus pretty much on this for the last several years. That’s been a godsend."

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to explore that [existing] world, but I think that they already were because THE MANDALORIAN and a lot of the other television projects were really relying on legacy characters.
I think if you want to explore ‘Star Wars’ from the perspective of the bad guys, the best time to do it is when the bad guys are wildly outnumbered, when they actually are essentially the underdogs, for lack of a better term.

STAR WARS: TALES OF THE JEDI--the Disney+ animated prequel anthology series will have three episodes each about the early days of Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku's descending into the Dark Side. Liam Neeson will return as the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn and his son will be the voice of the younger Jinn.

WILLOW---executive producer Jonathan Kasdan commented on Val Kilmer returning for the Disney+ sequel series, “Val has been in communication with Joann [Whalley] and I and Madmartigan is a character in the story and what we didn’t get to shoot with him on Season 1, we’ve made him a major figure in the story.”
He added, “Val’s a huge part of this, and the first conversation I had, when Warwick [Davis} and I got the green light to do this, was with Val. We wanted his character to be a part of the story. We wanted him to be in the show. Because we were shooting during [the COVID-19 lockdowns], he wasn’t able to come to Wales and shoot with us. But he is in the show in a big way. And we’re pretty excited about it. Madmartigan lives on.”
