Willem Dafoe, Kurt Russel, Steve McQueen, John Wayne & Ward Bond: that's 5 great actors in one post. Ace.

Bradley Cooper better know how to drive the Mustang GT and know how to handle The Colt Diamondback or he's wasting our time. McQueen knew how to look good using the tools of his trade. -- Al

BABYLON---featurette released for the movie starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.

LINK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXXLbic3QTk

INDIANA JONES 5---the sequel is set in 1969, but the opening scene is set in 1944 during World War II in a castle filled with Nazis and an ILM de-aged Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford commented on the de-ageing technology, “This is the first time I’ve seen it where I believe it. It’s a little spooky. I don’t think I even want to know how it works, but it works. Doesn’t make me want to be young, though. I’m glad to have earned my age.”
Co-writer Jez Butterworth said, “The simple fact is that the moon-landing program was run by a bunch of ex-Nazis. How ‘ex’ they are is the question. And it gets up Indy’s nose…”
Photos show Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, Mads Mikkelsen as ex-Nazi rocket scientist Voller and Boyd Holbrook as Klaber, Volger's henchman, in New York's ticker tape parade for the Apollo 11 astronauts.

DOCTOR WHO---Millie Gibson (CORONATION STREET) was announced as Doctor Who's new companion.

VIKINGS: VALHALLA---Netflix released a Season 2 photo of Leo Suter as Harald Sigurdsson. Creator Jeb Stuart said, "Season 2 will show that sometimes when you hang out with the people that are just like you, eat like you, talk like you, you can still run into trouble. So you need to stir the pot, which I think is what the Vikings did. And they did it beautifully, better than probably any other culture out there. So we put together this motley crew of Russian nobles, Muslim astronomers and con men, and they shove off from Novgorod."

WALT DISNEY---former CEO Bob Iger is returning to run the company and will succeed his hand-picked Bob Chapek. Iger ran Disney for 15 years and was sought to return by Disney's board to solve problems that arise during Chapek's tenure. Under Chapek, Disney's stock has lost 40% of its value, Disney+ has increased its viewer numbers but is losing money, its theme parks lost money during the pandemic and other controversies linked to accusations that Disney is too woke.

THE SOPRANOS---co-writer Terence Winter commented on a sequel to the David Chase mob series, "No, not as of yet, but hopefully David’s still thinking about it. He knows anytime he wants to do it, I’m ready. You know, we’re very dear friends, I see him all the time. I don’t nudge him about it. If he’s ready, I’ll do it. If he’s not ready, I’ll respect that decision, too."

ENOLA HOLMES---Henry Cavill commented on a possible Sherlock Holmes spinoff series after the ENOLA HOLMES post-credit scene with Holmes meeting Doctor Watson, "This universe is very much Enola’s, so she’ll always be involved. I think it’s important to make that connection between the two characters.]
[The scene] wasn’t a deliberate attempt to make it my own. I think living within the Enola universe, in all the literature and all the other mediums, he doesn’t have an Enola. He has a Watson, but that’s very different from having an Enola.
There’s a strong emotional connection to Enola there, there’s a similarity in how they’re raised. It allows for a slightly different viewpoint. When it comes to Enola, there’s always this emotionality with the connection, which is otherwise unique to the Enola universe.”

AVALON---ABC cancelled the Neve Campbell cop series after Episode 1 was filmed. It will be shopped to other outlets.

TRIVIA---more James Bond movie trivia.
Character actor Clifton James is best known for playing cops, particularly good old boy Louisiana parish sheriff JW Pepper in LIVE AND LET DIE and THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN. James said about playing Sheriff Pepper, "I just thought it was another job. I certainly didn't think it was anything special. I wasn't a James Bond fan. I had only seen one with Sean Connery. Of course, once I did it, I realized it was a big deal!".
He added, "I've done so many things that I think are more important, but it turned out to be the biggest thing I ever did...and now I am a **** legend! People still stop me and say, 'On whose side?"'
Although James is best remembered for playing the buffoonish Sheriff Pepper, he was the exact opposite while seeing combat as a platoon sergeant with the 41st Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater during World War II where he was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. James barely managed to evade death for his two Purple Hearts. His daughter, Lynn James, said one Purple Heart was from a bullet that pierced his helmet and split his nose. The second Purple Heart was for shrapnel hitting him in the mouth and taking out many of his teeth.

Thanks for the 'Heads Up' on Indiana Jones Five, but will give Babylon a miss.

Nice snippet on Clifton James service history. Do love him as an actor portraying Sheriff JW Pepper in the 'Bond Movies.'

Cheers,
GH

Good to see the Disney board moving on the CEO. Losing 40% of stock value and upsetting a lot of fans with wokeness finally got their attention.

TOP GUN: MAVERICK---the sequel will stream on Paramount+ beginning on December 22.

WALT DISNEY---new Disney CEO Bob Iger will return Disney's projects back into the hands of the creative part of the company and away from predecessor Bob Chapek's data-driven emphasis, "I’ve asked Dana Walden, Alan Bergman, Jimmy Pitaro, and Christine McCarthy to work together on the design of a new structure that puts more decision-making back in the hands of our creative teams and rationalizes costs, and this will necessitate a reorganization of Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution."
In 2021, Iger said, "In a world and business that is awash with data, it is tempting to use data to answer all of our questions, including creative questions. I urge all of you not to do that."

STAR WARS---Rian Johnson commented on fan criticism of STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI and if he still loves STAR WARS, “Oh, f*ck yeah. Yeah. My God. Yeah. In terms of that, I think I love STAR WARS even more now. I think what actually frustrates me is people’s perception that I had a negative experience somehow or people’s perception that it was somehow a traumatic experience or something. The reality is that it was a completely joyful experience even through the back end of it, the past few years, the reception of it.”

BLADE---Yann Demange (WHITE BOY RICK) will direct the movie after Bassam Tariq left due to creative differences.

BALLERINA---Anjelica Huston will return as The Director for the John Wick spinoff movie starring Ana de Armas.

SHE SAID---the movie about the reporters who helped break the scandal about producer and sexual predator Harvey Weinstein only earned a dismal $2.2 million on its premiere. It is one of the worst major studio premieres of 2022 based on its $30 million budget.

TRIVIA---Brenda Vaccaro and Kathleen Quinlan, who co-starred in the disaster movie AIRPORT '77, played the wife of an astronaut whose mission failed in two other movies.
In AIRPORT '77, Brenda Vacarro played Eve Clayton and in CAPRICORN ONE, she played the wife of astronaut Charles Brubaker, the commander of Capricorn One, the first manned mission to Mars which was really a hoax.
In AIRPORT '77, Kathleen Quinlan played Julie and in APOLLO 13, she played the wife of astronaut Jim Lovell whose Apollo 13 mission to the Moon is aborted after an onboard explosion.

MARVEL STUDIOS---Quentin Tarantino commented on how Marvel Studios has adversely affected the movie industry, "There’s an aspect that if these movies were coming out when I was in my twenties, I would totally be f--king happy and totally love them. I mean, they wouldn’t be the only movies being made. They would be those movies amongst other movies. But, you know, I’m almost 60, so yeah. No, I’m not quite as excited about them."
He added, “My only axe to grind is they’re the only things that seem to be made, and they’re the only things that seem to generate any kind of excitement amongst a fan base or even for the studio making them… So it’s just the fact that they are the entire representation of this era of movies right now. There’s not really much room for anything else. That’s my problem. It’s a problem of representation.
Part of the Marvel-ization of Hollywood is you have all these actors who have become famous playing these characters. But they’re not movie stars. Right? Captain America is the star. Thor is the star. I’m not the first person to say that. I think that’s been said a zillion times, but it’s these franchise characters become a star.
Back in 2005, if an actor stars in a movie that does as good as the Marvel movies do, then that guy’s an absolute star. It means people dig him or her and they like them and want to see them in stuff. Sandra Bullock is in Speed and everyone thought she’s amazing in it. Everyone fell in love with her… They were excited by Sandra Bullock and wanted to see her in something else. That’s not the case now. We want to see that guy [keep] playing Wolverine or whatever."

MARVEL-FOTOR.jpg

THE WALKING DEAD---executive producer Scott Gimple hinted at more spinoffs in the future, "I'm hoping these are the first stories and characters we explore, and I really hope we do more. I will say that for TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD, my plan was to have a lot more of the old characters on there. I hope we get to do that eventually and I really, really do want to get into these other characters and other mythologies and other situations, so I'm hoping these are the first.
More TALES episodes or limited series or spin-offs. I have a lot of dreams of doing more. Right now, we're concentrating on these, but give us a little while and I hope that we can jump into other characters. In some ways, we are working on some, but we're not urgently working on them. We want to get these shows up on their feet and then start widening out the world again."

GARY OLDMAN---Gary Oldman reaffirmed he plans to retire soon, “I’ve had an enviable career, but careers wane, and I do have other things that interest me outside of acting. When you’re young, you think you’re going to get ’round to doing all of them – read that book – then the years go by.
I’m 65 next year, 70 is around the corner. I don’t want to be active when I’m 80. I’d be very happy and honored and privileged to go out as Jackson Lamb – and then hang it up.”

FRASIER---Kelsey Grammer commented on the upcoming reboot series, "There's surely going to be some return visits from a lot of the peripheral characters in Frasier's life. Some of them will show up. Some are not coming as regulars, but may make an appearance later on."

TRIVIA---Thanksgiving movie trivia.
In the final scene of the Thanksgiving movie PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES, Neal Page's mother-in-law, Peg, is played by Diana Douglas, the wife of Kirk Douglas and the mother of Michael Douglas.

GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY---the sequel was Netflix's best theatrical premiere with $13.8 million in five days.

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY---writer Jon Kasdan said he is receptive to a possible sequel to the disappointing prequel, “The reason for a SOLO 2 is if there’s a great reason, and certainly, I’d be game if there was… there were so many great characters we were able to establish, and for me, the strongest argument for a SOLO 2 is the movie was Alden [Ehrenrich]’s journey to owning that mantle, and by the end of it, I thought he really did, and he didn’t get the fun of getting just to inhabit it for a movie, so I’d love to see him back.”

SOLO-FOTOR.jpg

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL---Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy commented on why the sequel is disliked by fans, “You never set out to do anything except make a great movie. Sometimes you hit that perfectly, and sometimes you don’t. In the case of Indy 4, I don’t think there’s any specific thing that any of us looked back on, except that we may not have had as strong a story as we wanted.”

INDIANA-JONES-1-FOTOR.jpg

THE WALKING DEAD---showrunner Angela Kang commented on Daryl and Carol in the series finale, “Daryl and Carol, obviously, there were some changes that happened really late in the game in terms of like, what was happening with the spin-off,” said Kang. “And so, it’s a little different than we initially imagined, up until very, very close to the end of this. We thought she was going to ride off with him. And so, we chose to just make it about they’ve each chosen for their various reasons to go one way or another, and that relationship isn’t over, which is true. This is not just something we’re saying in the past. That story has to resolve itself.”
Kang also commented on rumors Melissa McBride might return for the spinoff series, “Yeah, and at least now that felt like the best way to kind of deal with their story because we know that it’s like they are going in separate directions, but they’ll eventually come together at some point."
Also, a synopsis of the series finale's original ending which was dropped after it was decided to bring back Rick and Michonne, “After Daryl rode off, we cut forward to the Freedom Parkway, outside Atlanta – where the iconic shot of Rick rode down from the pilot. See an ethanol-modified van, with a young woman and man in the front seats (in their twenties). And through the scene, we come to realize it’s adult RJ and Judith.
Other adult versions of the kids are in the back – Coco, Gracie, etc. They’re out there, looking to escort any survivors back to their communities. Continuing the legacy of their parents.
As RJ speaks over the radio, he finishes with: “If you can hear me, answer back. This is Rick Grimes.” (Which, of course, is his name – and the line Rick said in the pilot.) Then we end with the voice of a survivor answering back: ‘Hello?'”

STAR TREK---George Takei replied to William Shatner's recent comment that Takei always criticizes Shatner to draw attention to himself, “I know he came to London to promote his book and talked about me wanting publicity by using his name. So I decided I don’t need his name to get publicity. I have much more substantial subject matter that I want to get publicity for, so I’m not going to refer to [Shatner] in this interview at all. Although I just did. He’s just a cantankerous old man and I’m going to leave him to his devices. I’m not going to play his game.”

STAR-TREK-FOTOR.jpg

STAR TREK: PICARD---showrunner Terry Matalas commented on the last season, “I think that it’s important to DEEP SPACE NINE fans to feel seen. It’s a continuation of VOYAGER too, of course, with Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) in our show. If you’re going to be in this time period, there’s such a rich opportunity to honor what came before.”

JUST CAUSE---Scarlett Johansson will star in the Amazon Prime miniseries based on the novel about a journalist who investigates whether a death row convict is really guilty. The 1995 movie based on the novel starred Sean Connery and Laurence Fishburne.

EUPHORIA---Billie Eilish commented on the rumor she is joining the cast for Season 3, "[The biggest rumor about me is that] I'm in the third season of Euphoria. That's not true. I'd like to be. Euphoria's f*cking fire."

TRIVIA---Ernie Hudson almost co-starred in two 1980s hit monster movies. In GHOSTBUSTERS, Hudson played Winston Zeddemore, who faced the monstrous Zuul. In THE THING, Hudson was John Carpenter's top choice to play Childs, until then-unknown David Keith's impressive audition made Carpenter pick him over Hudson.

EASY RIDER---remake underway of the 1969 movie that starred Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda. Maurice Fadida, head of Kodiak Pictures, said, “Our goal is to build upon the counterculture and freedom narrative the original left us with, and give the youth of today a film that pays serious attention to their own countercultures and challenges...What the young viewers of today are experiencing in their everyday lives may seem crazy to older generations, but it can very well become the societal norm, as was the case with the cultural shift of the late 1960s. We are hoping to play a part in that shift.”

EASY-RIDER.jpg

MARVEL STUDIOS---Samuel L. Jackson replied to Quentin Tarantino's comment that Marvel actors are not movie stars, “It takes an actor to be those particular characters, and the sign of movie stardom has always been, what, ***** in seats? What are we talking about? That’s not a big controversy for me to know that, apparently, these actors are movie stars. Chadwick Boseman is Black Panther. You can’t refute that, and he’s a movie star.”

INDIANA JONES 5---Antonio Banderas commented on his role in the sequel, “My character is very little; it’s almost a cameo… He’s just a friend of Indiana’s character, and he’s looking for him because he needs something from his friend. But he just takes up very little time of the movie, but very happy to be part of a saga that is of the history of motion pictures, obviously.
Just the fact that I step on the set, for me, was important. And I got to tell you: I had a great time with Harrison. He’s a gentleman on the set and outside of the set. I share some dinners with him and some time, and what a gentleman.”

WILLOW---writer Jon Kasdan explained why Val Kimer did not return for the Disney+ tv sequel to the Ron Howard movie, "We really wanted Val to come be in the show, and Val really wanted to come out and be in the show. I remember going to see Val right after this thing started to get some momentum, and I said, ‘Listen, we’re doing this. And the whole world wants Madmartigan back.’ And he was like, ‘Not as much as I do.’ He embraced me when I left. He picked me up, and he said, ‘See? I’m still super strong.’ And I was like, ‘Great.'”
Kasdan added, “As COVID overtook the world, it became insurmountable. We were prepping in the spring of the year that it was most happening. And Val reluctantly didn’t feel he could come out. We had to figure out a way to preserve the story we wanted to tell with him about how his story was playing out.”
Kasdan said Kilmer might return in the future, “We wanted to leave open the door to any possibility in the future and also honor the spirit of him. We’ve tried to do that and work with him in a way so that he is felt and heard, if not seen.”

TOP GUN: MAVERICK---the sequel is being released in theaters again from December 2 to December 15.

NCIS---Michael Weatherly hinted his future plans might include returning to NCIS, "another round of DiNozzo at some point."

AWAKEN THE REAPER---horror movie underway starring Lance Henriksen, Louis Gossett, Jr and Robin Curtis in which a troubled drifter returns to his hometown for therapy and encounters the Grim Reaper. Curtis retired from acting 23 years ago and is currently a real estate broker.

TRIVIA---NO WAY TO TREAT A LADY starred Rod Steiger, George Segal and Lee Remick and was based on the William Goldman novel about a serial killer who strangles middle-aged women. Steiger played the serial killer, who phoned the NYPD detective investigating the murders and taunted him using a W.C. Fields impression. Eight years later, Steiger played Fields in the biomovie.W.C. FIELDS AND ME.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER---THE LORD OF THE RINGS actor Bernard Hill said he has not watched the Amazon tv series based on the movies, "No, not interested. It’s a money-making venture and I’m not interested in watching that or being in it. Good luck to them and all that stuff but it’s not like the real thing.”
He added the movies should have ended with Peter Jackson's original trilogy, “Completely, yes. I think they were pushing it when they made THE HOBBIT. THE HOBBIT's a tiny book. They did it well – they did it really, really well. They expanded it [but] I think you can only stretch a piece of elastic so far. I think they managed it in THE HOBBIT because there were some really good things in THE HOBBIT without a doubt.”

ZERO DAY---Robert De Niro will star as a former President of the United States in the Netflix miniseries. No other details were released.

BRUCE LEE---Ang Lee will direct his son, Mason, in the untitled Bruce Lee biomovie. Ang Lee said, “Accepted as neither fully American nor fully Chinese, Bruce Lee was a bridge between East and West who introduced Chinese Kung Fu to the world, a scientist of combat, and an iconic performing artist who revolutionized both the martial arts and action cinema,” Ang Lee said in a statement. “I feel compelled to tell the story of this brilliant, unique human being who yearned for belonging, possessed tremendous power in a 135-pound-frame, and who, through tireless hard work, made impossible dreams into reality.”

JAMES BOND---a British tabloid claims Aaron Taylor-Johnson had a secret screen test with producer Barbara Broccoli and is now a leading candidate to be the new James Bond, “Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him. He is now one of the front-runners.”

TULSA KING---Paramount+ renewed the series for Season 2.

AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS---Guillermo del Toro said he has spoken to VFX expert Phil Tippett about using stop-motion for his long-gestating sci fi movie, "I said it would be ideal to do MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS as stop-motion. You watch the animation in a more rapturous way than live action. It’s almost a hypnotic act, and the relationship to the story becomes more intimate in that way.”

FALLOUT---Bethesda Game Studio's Todd Howard commented on the Amazon Prime tv series based on the video game, "When people wanted to make a movie they wanted to tell the story of FALLOUT 3 or tell the story of FALLOUT 4, and it was meh. For this it was, ‘Hey let’s do something that exists within the world of FALLOUT.’
It’s not retelling a game story. It’s basically an area of the map. Let’s tell a story here that fits in the world that we have built, doesn’t break any of the rules, can reference things in the games, but isn’t a retelling of the games.
[It] exists in the same world but is its own unique thing, so it adds to it. While also, people who haven’t played the games, who can’t experience how crazy cool FALLOUT is, can watch the series.”

TRIVIA---AIRPORT was the hit movie that started the disaster movie craze which led to three sequels and THE TOWERING INFERNO, THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE, EARTHQUAKE and many others. Two actors who appeared in AIRPORT, Whit Bissell and Virginia Grey, also appeared in the 1954 sci fi movie TARGET EARTH in which alien robots invade Earth.

In AIRPORT, Whit Bissell (left) played passenger Mr. Davidson, who sat next to stowaway, Mrs. Quonsett (Helen Hayes), and bomb-smuggler D.O. Guerrero (Van Heflin).

THE MANDALORIAN---Disney+ announced that Season 3 will premiere on March 1. Pedro Pascal commented on "epic" Season 3, "There's so much that you're going to see. I think some of the best things about Season 1 and Season 2 of THE MANDALORIAN were the surprises. We were all able to keep baby Grogu a secret, we were all able to keep Luke Skywalker's return to the world a secret. So there are more secrets to keep."

DUNE: PART TWO---Timothee Chalamet posted a photo from the sequel film set.

DUNE-FOTOR.jpg

DUNE: THE SISTERHOOD---Mark Strong will play Emperor Javicco Corrino in the HBO Max prequel series.

HOBBS & SHAW---producer Kelly McCormick commented on the sequel's status, "We would love to, there's no conversations at this time. I do feel like there were a lot of seeds planted to try to create a spinoff in a way that included a Kevin Hart and a Ryan Reynolds and sort of all that kind of stuff. And that was intentional, but not necessarily because we had plans in mind, just because it would be fun to have different players for them to play with, if anybody or we wanted to go for it in a different way. So, you know, I don't know, I mean Dwayne's a really busy guy and you know, he would be the one to motivate all of that. So, you know, we're ready if he wants to and until then he's just dominating so all power to him."

DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN---Michael Gandolfini has joined the cast whose character is rumored to be “an ambitious guy from Staten Island referred to as Liam”.

THE MIDNIGHT CLUB---Netflix cancelled the series.

TRIVIA---Ed O'Neill's wife, actress Catherine Rusoff, appeared in two episodes of MARRIED...WITH CHILDREN.

INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY---director James Mangold commented again on sequel rumors , "'One more time. No one is "taking over" or replacing Indy or donning his hat nor is he being "erased" thru some contrivance— and he never was, not not in any cut or script — but trolls will troll — that's how they get their clicks."'

THE CHRISTIE AFFAIR---Daisy Ridley will star in the miniseries based on the novel about the true disappearance of Agatha Christie for 11 days in 1926 after her husband's adultery was revealed. Ridley will play the mistress, Nan O'Dea, of Christie's husband.

CHRISTIE-AFFAIR-2-FOTOR.jpg

BALLERINA---Keanu Reeves commented on the JOHN WICK spinoff movie starring Ana de Armas as an assassin seeking revenge, “So the film BALLERINA, that Ana de Armas stars in, and being directed by Len Wiseman, it's already started filming, and it takes place between JOHN WICK CHAPTER 3 and JOHN WICK CHAPTER 4.”
He added, “Someone killed her father. Who could that be? And so it’s her journey [to] actually understand her past. She lost her father at a young age, and she doesn’t really know what happened. Only that someone came into the house and killed her father, who had a tattoo. And as we know in JOHN WICK, if you have a tattoo, something’s going on."

THE WALKING DEAD: DARYL DIXON---Norman Reedus commented on the spinoff series set in France, "The spin-off will follow Daryl as he wakes up and finds himself somewhere on the European continent and tries to piece together what happened. How did he get here? How’s he going to get home?”

SAS: ROGUE HEROES---BBC renewed the series for Season 2.

BATGIRL---co-director Bilall Fallah commented on if he and Adil El Arbi would return to Warner Bros. after the studio cancelled BATGIRL, “Yeah, we’d still work with them. But on the condition that the movie comes out. I mean, if Warner says ‘do you want to do the next Batman or Superman?,’ of course we’ll say yes. Just so long as the movie comes out!”
Arbi said the co-directors would be interested in a BATMAN BEYOND project, You know, maybe in the future…when Batman is not being made by Matt Reeves…. BATMAN BEYOND is really super cool. And I just saw that and thought that’s really badass. So who knows? Maybe in the future one day if they ask us to do that, we wouldn’t say no. But you can dream, right!"

MARJORIE FINNEGAN, TEMPORAL CRIMINAL---Ruben Fleischer will direct the movie based on the time travel graphic novel.

TRIVIA--Italian actress Luciana Paluzzi became famous playing Bond Girl/Villain Fiona Volpe in THUNDERBALL which led to roles in many tv shows and movies. However, besides THUNDERBALL, she is perhaps best known for co-starring in the Japanese sci fi movie THE GREEN SLIME, "I participated in a signing where the stars sign photographs and autographs, and the second-most requested photo, after the James Bond movie that I did, was THE GREEN SLIME. It’s very strange because I’ve done so many more interesting films in France, in Italy, in Spain, in the United States, all over the world, and THE GREEN SLIME was the second one. The fans came with posters that they wanted to have signed. So I guess it’s a cult picture."

BLACK ADAM---the Dwayne Johnson movie earned $387 million globally. With its $195 million production budget and a marketing budget of $80 million-$100 million, BLACK ADAM could lose $50 million-$100 million.

BLACK-ADAM-1-FOTOR.jpg

BLONDE---director Andrew Dominik commented on criticism of his Marilyn Monroe biomovie starring Ana de Armas, "Now we’re living in a time where it’s important to present women as empowered, and they want to reinvent Marilyn Monroe as an empowered woman. That’s what they want to see. And if you’re not showing them that, it upsets them...Which is kind of strange, because she’s dead. The movie doesn’t make any difference in one way or another. What they really mean is that the film exploited their memory of her, their image of her, which is fair enough. But that’s the whole idea of the movie. It’s trying to take the iconography of her life and put it into service of something else, it’s trying to take things that you’re familiar with, and turning the meaning inside out. But that’s what they don’t want to see.”

BLONDE-2-FOTOR.jpg

GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE---Gil Kenan (MONSTER HOUSE) will direct the AFTERLIFE sequel.

DAHMER-MONSTER: THE JEFFREY DAHMER STORY---the miniseries has one billion viewing hours in 60 days which allows it to join STRANGER THINGS and SQUID GAME.

GEORGE & TAMMY---the Showtime miniseries premiere had 3.3 million viewers which makes it Showtime's biggest premiere ever.

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS---Hayley Atwell said she wants to see more of Peggy Carter in the MCU after her cameo in THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, “It was definitely not, you know, the trajectory that I see for Peggy. I would definitely like her to have more to do. It depends on what Marvel and what the audiences want.
I’m a custodian of her. Compared to the rest of my career and everything I’ve done or my stage work and doing Mission: Impossible now and all the diversity of roles I’ve played, and the diversity that I get to explore, and to be able to play more complex roles and villains and lots of different things – she is not mine anymore.
She lives in a world of people that have taken her into their heart. And that’s beautiful. But it’s kind of like: yeah, you can’t control the impact a particular role has on the rest of the world.”

TRIVIA---in the opening scene of STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, Lt. Saavik takes the Starfleet Academy Kobayashi Maru training exercise, a no-win scenario involving a distress signal from the stricken freighter Kobayashi Maru. The Kobayashi Maru was named after WRATH OF KHAN writer Jack B. Sowards' ex-neighbors.
The real SS Kabayashi Maru is a bulk carrier named after the WRATH OF KHAN fictional freighter and was launched in 2019. It has a length of 656', and its home port is Durban, South Africa.
