WONDER WOMAN 3---Gal Gadot said she and DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran are developing the second WONDER WOMAN sequel, “I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a WONDER WOMAN 3 together.”
STAR WARS: AHSOKA---the villain seen in the tv spot for the Disney+ series has been identified as Marrok, “Once an Inquisitor hunting Jedi for the Empire, the mysterious Marrok now works as a mercenary hired by Morgan Elsbeth to carry out dark deeds. Fully encased in battered battle armor, the warrior still carries a red double-bladed saber with a circular hilt.”
THE CONTINENTAL: FROM THE WORLD OF JOHN WICK---photo of Colin Woodell as young Winston Scott and synopsis released for the Peacock prequel miniseries, “The three-part event will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott. He’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.”
SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS---the Taylor Sheridan Paramount+ spy series set a Paramount+ premiere record by beating the premieres of Sheridan's YELLOWSTONE and HALO.
THE WITCHER---Season 3 Part 2 has earned a Rotten Tomatoes score of 22% compared to Season 1's score of 89%. The decline is attributed to Henry Cavill leaving the series.
ALIEN vs. PREDATOR---director Shinji Aramaki said his ten-episode animated tv series that was never shown is titled ALIEN vs. PREDATOR: ANNIHILATION and was set on a giant immigration ship and occurred between ALIEN vs. PREDATOR and ALIEN: RESURRECTION. He gave few details because he hopes it will be shown in the future. The series was with 20th Century Fox but was lost in the shuffle of Wat Disney buying Fox.
RUSH HOUR 4--Chris Tucker commented on the status of the rumored sequel, "You’re going to see a lot of good stuff coming, but it’s going to be on a whole other level. That’s what I like…I’m excited about that. It’s not going to be what you’ve normally seen… RUSH HOUR 4, that’s something I definitely will probably drop in there because I love working with Jackie [Chan], but I’ve got some new stuff that I think you’re really gonna like. I’m excited about it."
WHALEFALL---movie underway based on the novel whose synopsis says, "Jay Gardiner has given himself a fool’s errand – to find the remains of his deceased father in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Monastery Beach. He knows it’s a long shot, but Jay feels it’s the only way for him to lift the weight of guilt he has carried since his dad’s death by suicide the previous year. The dive begins well enough, but the sudden appearance of a giant squid puts Jay in very real jeopardy, made infinitely worse by the arrival of a sperm whale looking to feed. Suddenly, Jay is caught in the squid’s tentacles and drawn into the whale’s mouth where he is pulled into the first of its four stomachs. He quickly realizes he has only one hour before his oxygen tanks run out – one hour to defeat his demons and escape the belly of a whale. Suspenseful and cinematic, Whalefall is an 'astoundingly great' (Gillian Flynn, New York Times bestselling author) thriller about a young man who has given up on life… only to find a reason to live in the most dangerous and unlikely of places."
TRIVIA---in the classic THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL boarding house scene, Frances Bavier played Mrs. Barley and Olan Soule played Mr. Krull. Bavier and Soule reunited on THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW where Bavier starred as Aunt Bee and Soule played Mayberry choir director John Masters.
