GODZILLA MINUS ONE---John Carpenter commented on the movie winning the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, the first Oscar for the 70 year-old Toho monster movie franchise, "Incredible! GODZILLA MINUS ONE wins an Academy Awards for special effects. In my lifetime. Fantastic!"

HALLOWEEN---Miramax Television head Marc Helwig commented on the tv series, "The foundation of it is the original film, the John Carpenter movie, the characters of that film, and perhaps a group of characters that we haven’t really focused on that much in recent film versions or even in a number of them. It’s a creative reset completely and going back to the original film, as opposed to spinning out of any of the more recent film adaptations.”
UNFROSTED: THE POP-TARTS STORY---Hugh Grant will play a "disgruntled Shakespearean actor who, much to his chagrin, finds himself having to don the Tony The Tiger outfit" in the Jerry Seinfeld movie about the popular Kellogg's toast pastry.
DUTCH & RAZZLEKHAN---Chloe Grace Mortez and Lewis Pullman will star in the movie based on the true story whose synopsis says, “The film will tell the explosive and unbelievably true story of the most expensive heist in history, with Heather “Razzlekhan” Morgan (Moretz) and Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein (Pullman) — lovers, hipsters, and aspiring rapper-entrepreneurs — at its center. After stealing over $4 billion worth of cryptocurrency, the millennial couple was caught by the Department of Justice and charged with conspiracy to launder the stolen bitcoin in February 2022.”
HARRY POTTER---Miriam Margolyes, who played Professor Sprout, said she loves the HARRY POTTER franchise, but she has concern for the fans, "I worry about Harry Potter fans because they should be over that by now. It was 25 years ago, and it’s for children. I think it’s for children.
They get stuck in it. I do cameos, and people say, ‘We’re having a Harry Potter-themed wedding, and I think, ‘Gosh, what’s their first night of fun going to be?’ I can’t even think about it. No.”
ANKLE SNATCHER---Sony Pictures horror movie underway based on the short story whose synopsis says, “The story follows Marcus, who grew up believing his father killed his mother — then blamed it on the boogeyman under the bed,” reads the synopsis. “Always leave the lights on, his father warned, or the boogeyman will get you. Marcus still heeds the superstition, especially when he invites his new girlfriend over. Is Marcus haunted by a creature or has he just inherited his father’s murderous delusions? TRIVIA---British actors Kieron Moore and Janette Scott co-starred in THE DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS based on the novel in which ravenous alien plants threaten mankind. Moore and Scott reunited to co-star in another sci fi movie CRACK IN THE WORLD in which scientists use an atomic weapon to release the Earth's geothermal energy which accidentally causes a crack in the world.
