Here's a Modern ride, a Metal cover by Norwegian band 'Jorn' of the Crazy 80's hit 'Ride Like the Wind' by Christopher Cross.

Here they are Live, they don't look to Modern :D

This is a fantastic cover, thanks for sharing, I added it to my playlist.

J D (John David) Souther - New Kid in Town.

It's almost Twelve months since JD Souther passed aged 78, what a great singer/song writer, having written major hits for The Eagles, Linda Rondastadt, James Taylor etc.

Here he is singing one of his more famous songs; 'New Kid in Town', released on his 'Natural History' album back in 2011. And the guy dated Linda Rondstadt and Stevie Nix, what a Legend!

I love all kinds of music, but mainly Rock, I was an early adapter of digital recordings and trashed most of my record collection long ago. This is one of the few records I kept for sentimental reasons being one of my Dad's favourites that he used to play on our Kriesler Stereo 6 Mulitisonic that had pride of place in the Kitchen/Dining room. Despite being almost 'as new' it was tossed out along with a lot of other stuff as none of us still lived in our 'home' town, these days it's no doubt worth a lot of money as a 'collectable'. Makes me wonder what will become of my Toy Soldiers  🥲

Whoops I forgot that the old Kreisler Stereo was replaced before my dad passed away by a second hand Grundig RPC system supplied by one of my brothers. Despite being several years old it was a very modern looking system with a Dual turntable, cassette player and radio. The turntable didn't work, prob only a busted belt but who can buy Grundig parts in Australia in the 90's. In any case my dad was more into cassettes by that stage and the speakers were amazing, I kept them until the early 2000's when they were sold in a garage sale along with my NAD sytem, i recall that the buyer was really really happy, but I didn't care, I was, and still am a digital kinda guy.

I loved ACDC with Bon Scott in the seventies and probably pissed a few people off playing my records of them. A few years back I added a set of some live CD's from the seventies to my collection. I particularly liked Gone Shootin' [Live in Cleveland Jul'77].

I couldn't find it on you tube, so this is a substitute of decent quality. Very good to fight any swelling in the legs.
