The Vikings defense was very and I mean very lucky yesterday afternoon against the Ravens 33-31.
Maybe. The Ravens have been giving up a lot of points recently. We finally get an offense that can score, so the defense starts giving up a lot of points. I guess that makes sense in some sort of bizzaro world. I am beginning to get a teensy bit frustrated between the Deadskins and the Ravens. -- lancerThe Vikings defense was very and I mean very lucky yesterday afternoon against the Ravens 33-31.
Looks like Sanchez needs a lot of seasoning.
Both the Vikings and the Ravens have explosive offensives that are tremendous challenges for any defense. The Vikings could have easily scored another 14 points so it could be said the Ravens defense was also lucky. It was a predictably tight game that either team could have easily won and hence been considered lucky. Despite their record, the Ravens still look like contenders to me, sadly unlike my patheti-skins.The Vikings defense was very and I mean very lucky yesterday afternoon against the Ravens 33-31.

My Ravens could be easily as 6-0 as 3-3, nobody Imean nobody has had worse luck, bad play, penalites in the final minute of 3 games as the Ravens have had in thier last three weeks...and these smilies fit me perfect...confused/mad/sad.
but with the bye week we need to figure out the defenseive issues, find some secondary that can play without 5-6 interference plays, I'm not panicking yet, we have played a tough schedule so far...SD/MIN/NE on the road??? hope the schedule Gods are just as nice to Pitt/Cinncy in the next 10 games, we'll be o.k. don't jump off the bandwagon yet Raven fans...Sammy
Could be worse, you could be a Lions fan
I know I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but I am a longtime 'skins fan who believes that this is the worst team they have fielded in 43+ years. Their defense is playing good ball but their offense is a disgrace that does not deserve the word "pro". When you have 5 games against the worst the NFL has to offer and you only win (and barely win, at that) 2 of those games, there is a severe problem. The Redskins are now faced with the real possibility of a 3 or 4 win season. A new GM is a neccesity, (a new owner could not hurt, either). The whole offense needs to be rebuilt. The head coach can only play the cards he is dealt by the owner and GM, but Zorn looks lost and needs to go. Like I said previously, blow it up and start over. I am still a 'skins fan but this mediocre ownership and management has to be changed. -- lancerOr a Skins fan, at least your losses came against good teams.

I am still a skins fan as well but this is indeed one of the most painful seasons so far. Frankly, the team has not done well since Snyder bought them but I don't see him letting go any time soon. It is easy to blame the coach but I think Zorn's decisions have not been that bad. It is the execution that has really been poor. Now the Synder controlled front office has delegated the play calling to Sherman Lewis who has been with the team out of retirement as a consultant for all of two weeks. It is speculated that Synder thought the obvious slight to Zorn would cause him to resign but he always has been a fighter and it is not like him to give up. Now you may say that is can't get worse but wait until Monday night; we may find out that it can. Of course the good news for Zorn is that if he is sacked, which sadly does seem to be "on the wall", he may well end up a winning coach with a better run franchise (there are a few worse); just look at Norv Turner. Conversely skins fans only have another coach, another system and another few years of poor performance to look forward to until the cycle repeats. I think if I were drafted by the Redskins I would think seriously about the CFL. Too bad you can't have a recall petition for NFL owners. We can enjoy this however:I know I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but I am a longtime 'skins fan who believes that this is the worst team they have fielded in 43+ years. Good article Spitfrnd and SO true. My last experience at a Redskin game, was, literally, my last experience at a Redskin game. The whole process from getting there to getting home was miserable. Even worse than the parking and food prices was the PA noise level. I had my hands over my ears almost the whole time and still left with a headache and deaf. TV viewing only from then on. -- AlI am still a skins fan as well but this is indeed one of the most painful seasons so far. 6 ZIP not much more to say....................
My Vikes may have lost (what a game!)...but the highlight of the day has to be Adrian Peterson absolutely steamrolling a poor defensive back!
Don't feel bad Peter, take away those free Touchdowns to the Steelers and it's a whole different ballgame, I see the Vikes going on a Superbowl run this year after watching them play the last two weeks...Sammy
