N.f.l. 2010 season (1 Viewer)

Maybe Dan Synder can sign Favre to a big multi-year deal. Play until he is fifty. It will close the karma circle on the season. I give him some credit for having guts, but he is a sad and pathetic sight at this point. Someone needs to pull the plug on his ego and send him into retirement. The sooner the better. Fans have short memories. So maybe they will forget this embarrassment and focus on his glory days. But he is not helping himself at the moment.

Yes you have been very lucky.

Blessed is more like it, once he retires, the chances are slim to none I'll ever see another QB as good as Tom Brady in this town.

Bledsoe saved the franchise, they were for the most part a laughing stock since their birth in 1960, but Brady put them on the map.

And speaking of QB's, saw today on the NFL network McNabb is upset over being benched, Grossman will start the last two games of the year.

Safe to say McNabb has played his last game in a Redskin uniform.

Put a tent around the circus known as the Redskins, the fans in DC deserve so much more..........

Well the Skins are in search of a QB and even before the benching it was pretty clear that McNabb was NOT the answer. The Dallas game showed pretty clearly that McNabb was more a part of the problem than the solution given that Rex put up much better numbers in all categories even with a cobbled together line and missing targets. Most of the world though Mike had lost his mind but I think his judgment, which unlike the outsiders, is based on watching what the guys are doing every day and not just what they once did, was soundly vindicated. As I said before, Snyder has had a pattern of buying over the hill free agents for a quick fix and it has never worked. I think if Dan can stay out of the player acquisition game for a while and have some patience the team can turn around. Everything was new this year and injuries to 13 starting players is not a recipe for success. Enjoy your current QB state of bliss, perhaps someday ours will return.:D

I sure miss the days of Sonny, Billy, and Joe. For that matter, I miss Doug, Mark, and even Jay. -- Al

Minnesota has become the graveyard for washed up quarterbacks. Other than a brief moment with Culpepper, we've been scouring the waiver wire for too many years (Jim McMahon, anyone??).

It's about time we looked for a long term solution.

No doubt about that, I even miss Brad but NOT Jeff. FWIW, I still think Norv Turner got a raw deal, not many teams can continue to win with the loss of their starting QB.

Been a lot of raw deals handed out under Snyder. I liked Norv and would have liked to see Marty given a chance at improvment. Oh well... -- Al

Tell you what Al, when we make our first 500 million, we can buy the team and run it our way.;):D

LOL. Good point, but I don't think we could do it any less well. -- Al
Actually I really do think we could do better.;):D I can assure you I would have vetoed many, if not most, of those free agent choices and overpriced trades.:D

Someone on ESPN today mentioned that McNabb might go to the Vikes. LOL. It never ends. Some good QBs in the draft this season, but a guy like Matt Leinart is hanging out there. He's been a bust so far, but has potential with the right team. Can't understand why the Skins/Vikes don't give him a try. It couldn't get any worse.

Leinert was given a chance by the Cards to be the starter and couldn't make it. In fact, he apparently was so bad they cut him. I think that probably says why no one wants to take a chance on him.

I am not sure who could make it with the Cards.:D It is difficult to judge any player by their performance with one team. This is especially true for a QB with a team that has nothing else going for it.;)

I would submit Kurt Warner as an exception here. He took a mediocre Cardinal team to within a play or two of the Superbowl title. -- Al

It turns out that Leinart is the third string quarterback for the Texans so I guess the only question is how could an athlete seemingly this talented fall so far?

Should be some snowy wonderland games today on the east coast. Blizzard conditions in some places.

Chris, your Cowboys let me down mate.:D They are trying to get the better draft postions from my Skins by also sliding out of the season.;)

Oh gee, I missed that barn burner of a game last night, what was I thinking, two 5-9 teams slugging it out........

There have been some real stinkers on Sunday night football, Monday night football and Thrusday night football (and that is an idiotic idea by the way, enough already with Thursday night football).

The morons at the networks messed up bigtime this year.......

I didn't see last night's game but I don't think it's going to help Garrett's chances of remaining head coach.

Philly may cancel the game tonight with the Vikes due to the snow. Pathetic.
