N.f.l. 2010 season (1 Viewer)

Fisher (Tennessee) should be concerned...lost control of his team...but I like him..
Gailey (Buffalo) should be scared...
Lewis (Cincinnati) should be scared...contract is up...
Soprana (Miami) should be scared...but I think he's safe...
Cable (Oakland) should be safe...8-8...they gotta be happy...Oakland 8-8...;)
Kubiak (Houston) could worry...all that talent and only 6-10...

Garrett (Dallas) could get fired or promoted...the last minute win with a 3rd string QB will go a long way...especially since it was against Philly...I think he did good with the loss of Romo, Bryant and then Kitna...

Denver should have a "help wanted" sign in the front window...as will Carolina, Arizona and Minnesota...

it's time to quit being a "couch coach" and put in your applications...not enough coaches to fill all the vacant jobs upcoming...

Word here in MN is that Frazier will shift from interim to head coach.

It's the typical move...Childress was too distant, so they get a player's coach.

After a while, Frazier will be too close to the players, and they'll get a 'demanding' coach.

I don't know if Buffalo was playing the second team yesterday but it was pretty embarassing, 38-7, and six turnovers.

Saprano is safe
Lewis will be gone
Cable will be safe
Kubiak should be fired
Garrett - tough one. Uneven and was part of the Phillips coaching debacle. If you have one of those superstar coaches available, I'm sure Jones will let him go.
Minnesota is reported to have hired Frazer
Fox is gone from Carolina
Denver will be looking I'm sure; Elway has taken over as head of football operations.

I take it you didn't see the game; no matter whose fan you are, the Giants were just plain lucky to win and limped into a victory that illustrated they had no business in the POs.:p;)

Whatever. A win is a win and they deservedly won, whereas the Skins didn't. It's easy for a has been like Grossman to look good when nothing is on the line. It's like garbage time in the NBA.

You might not have noticed that in the first quarter, the Giants were killing the Skins, running for an average of 11 yards per carry. Then, early in the Second Quarter, they lost their back-up center to an ankle injury (their starting pro-bowl center being out with an achilles tendon injury) and after that, not having a third-string center, they were forced to put a third-string guard in at center, after which they ran for 3 yards per carry for the rest of the game. With a healthy offensive line, they would have destroyed the redskins, like they did in the first meeting. Additionally, there were a boat load of drops - including a tipped pass for an interception - primarily because they were missing their two starting wide receivers (both Nicks and Steve Smith were out).

I however, agree that the Giants had no business being in the playoffs this year. Until they lose Coughlin, Gilbride and their special teams coach, and get coaches with a clue in these key positions, they will not belong in the playoffs.

Louis, you know that first quarter results are frequently not representative; remember for example the "No Doubt, Blown Out" Superbowl?;):D I sympathize with the injury issue but the Skins were playing with 5 missing defensive starters and a walking wounded offensive line and running back set as it is. Let's just say neither of these teams belonged in the playoffs, as they are now.:)

I saw that the Jets put up 38 points and scratched me head over that one, then I got my answer; Sanchez played one series and then rode the pine for the rest of the game.

Their defense, which carried them last year and in the playoffs, has not been very good this year, Reavis is too busy reading his press clippings from last year and Cromartie is too busy making babies, he's got what, seven kids aged three?

They had better bring their A game next week or else fatso can go back to admiring his wives feet.................

Fans of the skins must all have major concussion issues from bashing their heads against a wall over and over and over watching that three ring circus called a team.

They, like the Boston Bruins, can brng in all the new talent, new coaches and big name free agents all they want; until the nitwit that owns the team sells it to someone who has a clue, both are going nowhere.......

Alas, I fear you speak the truth. This off season is going to be very interesting down here in Redskin land. -- Al

As usual, except when it comes to toy soldiers, you are in error  While he was in he drove the offense but the coaches didn't want to take any chances of his getting hurt so it was all runs. Last week, they scored 34 points against the Bears. Not too shabbly of an offense. The Bills basically gave up after their QB was intercepted for a score. However, the starting receivers, Holmes and Edwards, got TDs. The one revelation was Joe McKnight, the RB they drafted in 2010. The guy ran for 150 yards. Not too shabby.

No, their defense has not been what it was last year but Reavis has been pretty good this season so I expect him to be on his game next week.

Let's home the Pats bring their A game next week ;)

Let's home the Pats bring their A game next week ;)

We won't have to; 14-2, tied for the best record in football, next week is a bye week for us...............as usual, when it comes to football, you are in error.........:D

As far as Sanchez, the mantra for him is "As long as he doesn't screw up the game for us, we'll be ok".............a product of poodle Pete and USC; he, Palmer (good God did he look just plain awful yesterday) and Leinhardt......actually, the best of the bunch has proven to be Cassel, the guy who never saw the field at USC.....................

If you will check, a week runs from Sunday to Saturday, therefore the Jets play this week. Like I said you better bring that A game or Tommy will be spending more time with Giselle :D

And that's a bad thing?

I guess if I had my choice between Giselle or Sexy Rexy's wifes feet, I'd choose the former...............

Here's my son at the game yesterday, not cooperating with the photographer ;) but that's nothing new :D

Bring it on, say what you will, Big Ben can close the show, not sure Flacco can. And when the playoffs come around, don't bet against us. We seem to hold that edge on the Ravens and we will be more than happy to have either the Ravens or the Jets again at home. I don't see the Ravens winning 2 in the Burgh in one season and I think Pittsburgh is a different team when fully armed and healthy. We have 2 weeks and I think we will be healthy.

Forgot to ask, guess the Ravens snoozed through last week's Browns game, they didn't look like world beaters against them?!

Better get by the Chiefs first, if Ravens play like they did today, you heard it here first, it will be an early exit from the playoffs.

And I dont think I would be so gung ho to see the Pats. They are a way different and scary team from when the Ravens lost to them. You might even say, the Ravens "prevent" offense that was employed in that game sparked the Pats for the rest of the season. If Brady is on, they win, end of story. And I say that for my Steelers also, the Pats are a very dangerous and poised team. Brady is a winner, pure and simple.

PS. I feel even more confident now should we meet in 2 weeks. I believe you posted a "look forward" to Dec 5th post, it seemed to bring us good luck...............hopefully your post here does the trick again! :):)

This is too fun, man, you should live in Bmore, you get just as riled up as the locals when the black and gold is mentioned. TOO EASY! I hope you know it is fun ribbing you, its just football, but it makes it interesting this time of year!

Thanks Tom for reminding me about that DEc 5th game:mad:... nothing worse then losing to the Steelers in the final minutes, like a rite of passage, Flacco's first game in Pitt we lose in over time 3 yrs. ago, the famous did he or didn't he cross the goal line pass in Baltimore 2 yrs ago, then the fumble this year in Baltimore:(:(:(, man were due for a good win against the Steelers soon I hope, but I'm not looking past KC they are a good solid team.
I miss my days living in Baltimore even though we moved to Virginia when I was very young, I still remember my Oriole games, watching the "REAL" Colts on t.v... good times:) I have a 2 week vacation back home in VA. next October and can't wait to get back home, going to a Raven game hopefully, maybe against the evil Steelers:), you can be my guest of honor Tom, only if you ware a Raven shirt!!!...Sammy

Yes God save any team from an owner who thinks he knows too much; like Jones, Davis, Wilf, Adams and, yes, our dear friend Dan. Owners, like fans, that want instant success are doomed to failure and disappointment. If it were all that easy, every team would be at .500.:D I have no concussion issues but simply regret that for the seasons we have wasted some quite good players by adding a period collection of past their prime prema donnas. I had some hope for Donovan but frankly it seems it was another quick fix disaster. As Al suggests, we need a lot of position fixes but not all really. A healthy offensive line with some depth is key. Probably that means at least a guard, tackle and center. We may or may not need a new running back but some young stud would be helpful. QB is a bit of a mess but Donovan may still work and if not there are a number of cast offs available for the short term that could work IF we have the line fixed. We are number 10 in the draft so it might be a year to take another chance of a franchise QB for the future. On defense, we need another 3-4 tackle, and 1 good inside LB. A better coverage safety would also seem important and perhaps another corner. With free agency and big Dan's money, all that is obtainable; as long as he stays out of the selection process. I just heard an ugly rumour that he is thinking about ditching Shannahan and going for Gruden. Gruden would be a great coach but Rome, as they say.......;)

Sounds like a deal. I will be rooting for the Ravens this week, I really do want to see the offense break out, I just can't figure what is holding them up. Oh well, it is a new season now, anything can (and will) happen. Good luck!

We are lucky here in New England, we've got a first class owner, a guy who was/is a fan, used to sit in the freezing cold as a fan, now he owns the team. A self made man, not some .com/trust fund baby nitwit, a guy who knows how to make a buck, knows well enough to let BB coach and run the team, you never see Mr Kraft on the sidelines clapping his hands, backslapping players, he sits up in his owners box and watches from afar.

Lucky indeed...........

the real wildcard for me this postseason is Atlanta- are they that good? Time will show I suppose.

:D
Well guys, just as you can count on Rob every month with new K&C dispatches, you can count on me starting the early season of the N.f.l., and since most of the teams report to camp next week, why wait until September?? how's your favorite team look this year? what's your picks for the playoffs??

of course I'll take my Ravens this year, hopefully with picking up Stallworth/ Bouldin this off season Flacco will have someone beside Mason to try to go deep, across the middle to, the o -line looks to be solid again, and if R. Rice can duplicate last season as a double threat, were gonna score some points...imagine that, the defense picked up some solid linemen in the draft, and think that the defense will improve under second year d coach, but finishing 3rd in total defense last year, not to shabby.

I think this years playoffs possibilites

A.F.C.
Ravens,Jets,Patriots,Steelers,Broncos,Chargers,Titans,Colts
N.F.C.
Redskins,Cowboys,Saints,Vikings,Packers, 49ers, Cards,Eagles

I'm ready for some real football:):):)...Sammy

Took a look back at my predictions; wow was I out in left field, Jets/Cowboys or Vikings in the Super Bowl, guess I bought into that overstuffed gasbag down in New Jersey and his bluster during the preseason.

Saw on ESPN him making bold predictions about the Jets going to the Super Bowl this year and how the game Saturday is "personal" between him and Manning.

This guy will never learn to just drink a nice tall glass of ST*U................
