N.f.l. 2010 season (1 Viewer)

The NY teams are looking good. NFC is there for the taking for the Giants. AFC a little more competitive. The score for the Jets should have been more lopsided but a win is a win. Cromartie did an excellent job covering Moss for most of the night.

Most interesting game last night. It is sink or swim with Favre who was ineffective in the 1st half, and typically dangerous in the 2nd, before throwing his patented game ending interception. Congrats to the Jets for outlasting Favre. Next weeks game between the Vikes and Cowboys should have been a big game. One of them is going to leave the field 1-4 and who would have predicted that, at this point in the season? On a related subject, how long can the Cowboys stick with Wade Phillips? The team just doesn't produce for him. -- Al
Maybe Bret was too worried about those photos the league is reviewing. I really hope it was not him, that is not a good way for a living legend to be remembered.

As for the NFC, I think the Giants have more than a few hurdles left.;)

That was a painful game to experience. Talk about a lackluster performance! How can professionals spend that much of a game playing with a complete lack of energy and focus??

The fact that we actually had a chance is a tribute to our defense. Had we come back to win, that is the kind of game which could propel a team through the season. As it is, we'll just stumble along.

Maybe our owner needs to predict that we'll still win the division!

After seeing how the Jets did nothing on their last offensive possession before the Vikes got it back (and Favre then proceeded to throw that pick), I turned to my son and said it's not looking too good as he was on a roll. In the games I've watched this season, the Dolphins game and the Jets game, he's not showing much outward emotion but far be it from me to know what's inside a person.

Well, Dallas is just killing me!!:eek: i've said it since Day 1- Wade Phillips is not a championship caliber coach- oh well, all the more reason to keep watching my new favorite sport

UFC!! Lesner next weekend- should be a monster matchup!!

The Ravens and Steelers are just looking tough- a lot of people around here are saying the Ravens will loose this weekend to the Pats but I'm not so sure.

and Shanahan wins coach of the year- the guy is a winner and makes winning organizations wherever he goes.

Just remember- you heard it here first!! :D
I will. I must add, it is a thrill to be able to have a team that has a clear focus on the TEAM and not just their own results. Whether they make the playoffs or further matters less to me, although I would certainly enjoy that, than the fact that they are playing with mutual support and a belief in themselves that has been absent for many years now.

It is a lot more fun to watch and believe in. I just make sure to offer up my daily prayer to the Gods of Football that they keep Donovan McNabb healthy.;) -- Al

Biggest game of the year tommorow for my Ravens, if they can pull off a win in New England Sunday we will be sitting pretty after a tough 6 games, and a bye coming up as well as E.Reed coming back next week, gonna be a hell of a game as I'm sure the Pats do not want to fall behind to the Jets in the east, so hoping my Ravens bring thier "A" game because were gonna need it...Sammy

Maybe not the biggest but one of the most challenging tomorrow for the Skins. With Manning's ability to put 35 points on the board in a quarter, the Skins need to really pull it all together for this game and can't afford to have a bad quarter, much less a bad half. The offensive line needs a quantum improvement from last week, especially the first half.

Isn't this the truth. Big gut check game. Any thing less than their best effort and they will lose by 30. What I can't figure out is the betting line. Last time I looked it was Indy by only 3. -- Al

God that makes no sense at all. I wish I thought it was that close but I will be thrilled to be proven wrong.:D

Ravens ticked me off, again. Blew a 10 point 4th quarter lead and then did nothing with the ball in OT. Patriots kept giving the ball back in OT but the Ravens looked like they didn't want it. Oh well, next! -- Al

No excuses for the Ravens, you have a 10 pt. lead in the 4th and you give it up??? offense played decent, the defense played lights out in the first 3 quarters and if we can not find a way to finish a game like this the Ravens will have problems again, that being said...it was a tough 6 game start against Pitt/jets/pats/cinncy...all on the road, so next week we have a gimme against the Bills, then our bye and the next 4 out of 6 at home!!! including Reed back!! I like our schedule for the next 4-5 weeks compared to the Steelers/ pats/jets schedules:)...Sammy

Steelers..........we are there. Our schedule next 4 weeks.. Pats at home, I'll take that, if we are fortunate to have the 4th qt lead, we are not blowing it at home.

As for Miami, Cinci, bring it, we ain't losing in our division to the Bengals and Miami, we should roll. As for the Saints, honestly, great if we beat them, if not I don't care. As long as we win in the AFC, I am happy.

Major step back for the Ravens today, blew 4th qtr lead, but sealed the deal with an idiotic penalty by Mclain. DUMB. They put themselves in a position to lose to Tom Brady. End of story, this one will smart for a bit.

I'd be worrying what your team is doing instead of how the competition is faring. Green Bay may not be the easiest but it's not like the Jets are playing the 85 Bears or 86 Giants every week.

That is the truth. I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and soak up the Ravens tears. Seriously, it is always an excuse or look at what the other teams are doing. MAN UP, ya lost, next Sunday is another week, go from there.....:):)

Seriously. The Black and Gold lost a tough one to the Ravens, did we complain....NO. We got back on the saddle and punished the Browns, end of story.

Hey Tom, you didn't hear me crying, maybe you should re-read my statement, I said it like it was, we had this game and we blew it simple as that, I did point out that it will be nice to have some games at home, as far as your Steelers go, a 3rd string rookie qb had it close until the 3rd quarter, so don't run your mouth to much, it always makes me laugh when you talk about rubbing it into someone face at work or where you live about how my Ravens lost and our Steelers won, sounds like something a Steeler fan would do, but if your qb can stay out of college dorms or bars for a few months can't wait to see you all in Baltimore in a month or so, that way when we beat you down I won't have to hear any "we didn't have our starting qb" just like we didn't have E. Reed, fair is fair, thst game can't get here fast enough, the AFC North title will be ours this year brother, and you can quote me on that...Sammy

Someone in Vegas knows what they are doing. The line on the Colts-Redskins was at Colts by 3 and went to 3 1/2 right before the game. Colts won 27-24. Close, but the Colts didn't cover though they did win the game. The Skins had a shot, getting the ball with 2 1/2 minutes to go. They couldn't get it done. No real surprise. The Skins did play well enough to stay in the game and make it closer than I thought they would ever get. At least they ran the ball pretty well, for a change. I am encouraged by the overall showing. One thought, as I watched Manning, I still have the impression that he can do what he wants with a football, whenever he feels like it. He is better than every other QB in the game. He is not perfect but he comes close. Brady and Breese are close but I would take Peyton over all, assuming Unitas isn't available. -- Al
