A perfect end to a perfect day..................Vince Young schools the Giants and at the end, there's the classic Manning face...................
Was a little surprised by this game. Didn't see how the Eagles, without Vick, were going to be much of a threat to the Giants. Sure glad I don't bet. Can't figure the Giants out. -- Al

You mean the same face that Brady will have when the Patriots get knocked out of the playoffs...again? :wink2:

Nope, not that one, it's the one Peyton perfected and Eli has picked up on, it runs in the family.............I saw where fatso got whacked by the NFL to the tune of 75 grand for telling a fan to STFU as he waddled off the field at halftime last week during the game vs the Patriots.

What a class act.

He apologized and realized it was wrong, more than I can probably say about a lot of people.

Knowing you're wrong is also a sign of class.

Pats game going about as expected. Nice return by Edelman. KC QB is not terrible. Has a chance to make an impression.

Th Ravens sure took it to the 49er's last night. The game was an outstanding example of defensive domination by the Ravens, whose D-line spent the night in the 49er's backfield. Smith was under tremendous pressure all night, got sacked 9 times and as a result 49er's couldn't sustain any offense. Real smashmouth football and a well earned 16-6 win for Baltimore. If the Ravens ever figure out how to play this well against all their opponents, the SB may reside in Baltimore again. But, the Ravens have to get off the inconsistency rollercoaster. They are 5-0 against opponents that are .500 or better, 3-3 against everyone else. I sure love the Ravens defense, and Lewis didn't play last night either. -- Al

I have a hard understanding why they don't play this well all the time. I don't see a lot of their game but this reminded me of the Jets dismantling about six weeks ago. Maybe they need a national spotlight to be their best.

It is a huge mystery, Brad. They look like the best team in the league one week and then the next game it looks like they only show up for the paycheck. They MUST figure the problem out. -- Al

Tebow continues to do nothing but "win, baby, win" as Denver beats Norv and the 'Bolts. Don't know how he does it but he does. Kinda fun to watch. Even the 'Skins managed to win. Trailing 17-7, the 'Skins did the unexpected by scoring the last 16 points of the game, to win 23-17, but they desperately need to do something with the kicking game. It's terrible and should have cost them this game. Can't believe the Raiders are for real but they beat the Bears, so maybe they are. Been a good weekend for the local teams, so far. Unless one is an Eagles fan... -- Al

Norv Turner will forever be Charlie Brown and Lucy a Championship Season.

Good one. Norv is fondly remembered for his 7 year tenure with the Redskins.:rolleyes2: A sparkling 49-59-1 record in the regular season and a 1-1 record the only year they made the playoffs. I think the Oakland fans have an even fonder memories of his 2 seasons and 9-23 record.^&grin Norv has done better in San Diego. In 5 seasons, counting this one, he is 45-30, but has a unspectacular playoff record in 3 seasons of 3-3. They won't be going this year and I think it fair to say that patience is running thin in Chargerland. But, Norv is an offensive genius, or so we've been told, year after year after year... -- Al

Donovan got whacked, again. Where does he go now? Houston? Is this to be the Favre Saga all over again? Will Donovan know that "It's time to say 'Goodnight', Gracie."? Stay tuned. -- Al

He didn't get whacked. He wasn't playing and the Vikings let him go to see if he could sign with a contender. I know that the Bears have some interest in him. The only team that could have needed him, the Texans, have signed the former Jet Kellen Clemons and Jake Delhomme (and worked out Jeff Garcia) so the Bears would be his best chance to be a backup to Haney.

The news report I heard last night said he had been cut. I just heard on ESPN that he had requested it. Hadn't heard about Clemons, Delhomme, or Garcia. Chicago could be a good fit. At any rate, I will be surprised if he stays out of work very long at this time of year. -- Al

I'm sure if signed by the Bears, he would be a backup to Caleb. The guy they reallly wanted was Orton because he'd been with the Bears before.

Time for pick in the league where they play for pay.

Jets - Redskins. Should be another ugly game from the Jets. They are also facing the team that is number three in sacks. On the plus side, the Jets O line was named the best O line last week so that will be a good battle. Jets are a 3 point favorite. I'll take the Jets, who will cover.

Giants - Packers. Could get ugly. GB is a 6.5 point favorite, a little too conservative. I'll pick GB, who will more than cover.

Bears - Chiefs. Haney should be better this week, hopefully :wink2: Bears are a 7 point favorite. KC defense is strong but offense pathetic. Pick is the Bears but it could be a nail biter and I don't think they'll cover.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh. Of course I'm rooting for the Steelers, who are a 7 point favorite. They won really ugly last week. I'll pick Pittsburgh to win the game but they won't cover.

I hope you are right!!!!!!!!

Me too. Bengals are the primary competition for the last wildcard. I know the Broncos are ahead of Jets and Jets are tied with Tennessee but I just don't see Tebow keeping it up. If he does, more power to him. After all, he's probably the most talked about player in the NFL right now.

Chicago Tribune has reported that the Bears (as well as every other team) passed on McNabb so he is now a free agent. I think his career is done. Eagles were quite prescient in getting rid of him two years ago.

Watched my Redskins fold like wet cardboard against the Jets. Skins had a 16-13 lead with 5 minutes left then proceeded to give up 3 Td's in those final 5 minutes. My heroes. What a team. Jets sleepwalked through most of the game but fortunately for them they were playing the Skins and not the Pats or Ravens.
Quite impressed that once again Tebow put his team in a position to win late, and they did. Also glad to see that the formerly 0-7 Dolphins lit up the Raiders. Dolphins have won 4 of the last 5. Now, back to see if the Giants can derail another unbeaten team. -- Al
