I wouldn't say they "gave up" three TD, the Jets had something to do with that. The problem with the Skins is the QB; he is just awful. The rest of the team is not bad but they need to draft a good QB in the worst way.

Jets defense played great, except for the opening drive. The score does reflect what it should have been as the Jets are/should be a much better team.

Couldn't see the Bears game but another disappointing game from Hanie. Don't think the Bears will make the playoffs at this rate.

So far I'm 2-1 this weekend but only 1-2 on the spread.

Just catching up on the scores now as I was traveling most of the day on the way back from Virginia.

Houston beat the Falcons with some ham and egger as their QB, the Raiders lost to the Doofins (seriously?), the Bears lost to the Chefs (double seriously?), upset specials everywhere today.

The Tebow show rolls on, they beat the Vikings and are now tied for first in the West with the Raiders.

Tim Tebow, unreal.

Oh and things are coming up roses for fatso and the Jets; the Bengals lost, so they are a shoe in for the six and final playoff spot, not to mention if the Broncos win the West, there goes another wildcard competitor for the Jets as they have the edge in any tie breaker scenario.

Wonderful.

Giants just lost a heartbreaker, especially with Cowboys, Falcons, Bears and probably Lions losing.

Re the Jets, Broncos are now in first but Raiders, now a WC contender, get the edge because they beat the Jets. Also, because of the various tiebreakers, Bengals are ahead of the Jets. Jets have to gave a better record. It will probably not be decided until the final game.

Had a hope that the Giants might be able to win in OT after that great drive and 2 point conversion to tie. Should have known better with .48 seconds to work with that Rodgers would win it. All the Giants had to do was stop 1 pass and it proved impossible. Oh well. The NFC East is impressive with Dallas at 7-5 and the Giants at 6-6. If the Redskins had been able to win, their 5-7 record would have meant third place, 2 games out of first. Again, oh well. Now the Skins are battling the Eagles for last place. Can't wait to see how it turns out.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Just watched the replay what a mauling lions,"PFFT".................:)

I'm highly 'impressed' that Tebow was able to convince Christian Ponder to throw not only a pick-6, but a bad interception late in the game setting up a field goal. Oh, complete busts on defense leaving people WIDE open didn't hurt either.

Yup, the Broncos won because of Tebow Time!

Once again the Vikings found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

I was suprised with all the talk of McNabb getting picked up by someone. Any team that needs a quarterback who can throw the ball a yard short every time should line up!

Where's Fran Tarkenton when you need him? Or Joe Kapp or Tom Kramer or Wade Williams or Rich Gannon or Daunte Culpepper. Those are some pretty good Qb's. Vikes will find another one. At least you don't have Rex Grossman as the starting Qb.:rolleyes2: -- Al

The Bears may be lining up after Hanie's abysmal performance yesterday.

Washington could use a Qb. Maybe we should sign McNabb. Got to be better than what we got. Oh, wait...

Watched my Redskins fold like wet cardboard against the Jets. Skins had a 16-13 lead with 5 minutes left then proceeded to give up 3 Td's in those final 5 minutes. My heroes. What a team. Jets sleepwalked through most of the game but fortunately for them they were playing the Skins and not the Pats or Ravens.
Quite impressed that once again Tebow put his team in a position to win late, and they did. Also glad to see that the formerly 0-7 Dolphins lit up the Raiders. Dolphins have won 4 of the last 5. Now, back to see if the Giants can derail another unbeaten team. -- Al

AL, I feel for you, oh boy!

Tebow, still want to see what he does against a Steelers/Ravens type D. Oh please, can we have him first in the Wildcard...................... I would like to a Woodley/Harrison sandwich, worth every fine to take his head off. I hated him when he was a Gator and I can't stand him now. Let him run 20 times a game against serious Defenses and let's see how that works out for him.

And Christian Ponder, what were you thinking?????????????????

TD

Ok, I know I am a "homer' for the Steelers and I am very happy we got out of tonights game with a W after screwing around but.......................I don't care what anyone says, Big Ben is the real deal and the guy has guts. He had a Willis Reed moment and I am convinced his presence on the field is the reason we were able to get a W when nothing but bad news occurred. Thank goodness for the defense and Ben's true grit. Again, I know I am a homer, but the guy is redeeming himself in the character department.

TD

Although you have to admire his pluckiness, the only reason they didn't lose this game is because Colt McCoy is god awful. I guess it's a learning curve. Steelers have pulled a couple of real stinkers lately but it's the W that counts, not style points.

Harrison will no doubt be getting a hefty fine for his hit.

Brad,
no doubt on Harrison count, when the guy pulled up to throw, end of story. Still like the hit, this is football, but a fine will be in due course.

While the offense is capable of gross errors, the D keeps looking better. I think luck and a super strong D won the game last night. Luck b/c Ben able to come back, but the D put a thump on the Browns, when you hurry a QB, they make mistakes. And we shut the run. Easy formula.

All in all, the W is still a W which you are dead on about!!

Big Ben is a tough hombre. McCoy surprised me too, when he got up from that helmet to helmet hit, one of the harder hits I have seen recently. -- Al

Time for some picks {eek3} in the league where they play for pay :wink2:

Kansas City vs. Jets - Jets are a 10.5 point favorite. I'll take the Jets to win but not to cover. Jets win by a touchdown.

Giants vs. Dallas - Dallas are a 3.5 point favorite. I like the Giants in this so I'll take the Giants with the points. Ergo, Dallas will not cover.

Houston v. Cincinnatti - Texans are plus 3. Bengals (unfortunately) will cover.

Bears v. Denver - Bears are a 3.5 point underdog. Logic says you don't go against Tebow, particularly with no Cutler and Matt Forte. Sometimes you have to stick your neck out and I'll pick the Bears for the win, plus the points of course.

What? No prediction on the Beltway Rumble when the Pats visit the Skins? Skins in a walk!:rolleyes2::D:D:D -- Al

Only pickin' four but the line is Pats -8. Sorry to say but I think the Pats will cover. I went to school at GWU in the early 70s and worked there in the mid to late 70s and used to watch the Skins a lot. Kills me to see what's happened to them. Football is more interesting when the Skins are better. Never forget when Riggo scored against the Dolphins in the SB, or when he made those comments to Justice O'Connor :D
