N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

Great game between the Steelers and Ravens. Pittsburgh is on an impressive run. They are distancing themselves from the other contenders after getting road wins against TN and Baltimore. My Rams managed to blow it against the lowly Dolphins. Goff is a complete disaster. Time to trade him for whatever they can get on the market and unload his salary. I can't see Belicheat hanging around in NE much longer now that the ship is going down faster than the Titanic. He has the loyalty of a snake and doesn't want his reputation to be tarnished. The Cowboys or Raiders will come calling for him shortly.

Your statement about Goff sounds like what 49er fans are saying about Jimmy G. I don’t know if Goff is in injured but it’s obvious that Jimmy G’s ankle sprain hasn’t healed and he shouldn’t play until it fully is. Had Shanahan gone to Mullins sooner, the 49ers might have pulled it out.

As far as Belichick, I don’t see him going anywhere, especially since he’s the GM, plus I think he wants to show he can do it without Brady. They should be active at the trade deadline and they may have a shot at Lawrence.

I don't think Belicheat's ego will allow him to stay much longer. It's getting ugly fast. He is blaming the salary cap etc. The Pats could finish behind Miami. I can see him leaving for a year and then coming back with the Cowboys or Raiders. In terms of Goff, he just isn't very good. The Rams have lost confidence in him. He has lost confidence in himself. He panics under any pressure. Unfortunately, the coach and GM have tied their fates to him with his massive salary. As a result, they can't admit their mistake and cut their losses with a trade. They are going to sink or swim with him. At best, a nine win bubble playoff team for the foreseeable future.

Let me preface this by saying I like Tom Brady. He is a Bay Area guy and an all-time great.

However....

The Tom Brady Antonio Brown denial tour has gotten out of hand.

He has appeared everywhere imaginable denying he had anything to do with the Brown signing.

I can almost guarantee that if he is a flop Brady will remind everyone who had nothing to do with it. If the signing works suddenly Brady will be the reason why it happened.

Jason...

this should put that to rest...
AB has been rooming with Brady...

Bill does a weekly spot on one of our sports talk radio shows and here is what he said today;

"I mean, look, we paid Cam Newton $1 million. It’s obvious that we didn’t have any money. It’s nobody’s fault. That’s what we did the last five years. We sold out. We won three Super Bowls, played in a fourth and played in an AFC Championship Game."

13 million in dead money owed to Brady and 10 million they got saddled with to pay Brown hurt the team...........I find it comical just to read what he said; they are having a down year, but they went to FIVE strait AFCCG's, FOUR Super Bowls and won THREE...............

Holy smokes; an embarrassment of riches.

Any other fan base would have take one trip to the Super Bowl/one win.

TWENTY years of dominance; it had to end sometime, we'll see what happens in 2021 when hopefully we will be past COVID, they'll have middle of the round draft picks vs picking 31st or 32nd in every round, some salary cap room and a third place schedule, they played a first place schedule EVERY YEAR for the past 11 years and EIGHTEEN times out of the last TWENTY years.

The other two times, it was a second place schedule, they never finished worse than 9-7 in TWENTY years.

I'm truly blessed a fan, memories to last a lifetime.

Something few fan bases can say.

He's one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, ranks right up there with Lombardi, Noll, Landry, Shula and Walsh.

The cheap shots are pathetically laughable.

They have no real shot at Lawrence.

It's time for a reset and starting over.

It's not a bad thing, this is easily the most relaxed I've been watching the Patriots since the dynasty started.

Yesterday when Cam fumbled, I laughed it off, I felt badly for him, but it was a big nothing burger.

20 years of winning records, division titles, playoff games, AFCCG's, trips to the Super Bowl, it gets stressful year after year after year after year after year, every game matters, you live and die with every play.

That's over now, I get to watch football and just enjoy the games, no more stress just relaxing watching my favorite sport, football.

It's ok.

It really is.

It must be disconcerting to see how far this franchise has fallen; a powerhouse in the 80's/90's to where they are now.

The entire NFC East is a mess, which is a shame really..................

"Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be sidelined a minimum of six weeks and possibly longer if surgery is needed, per source.George Kittle is out eight weeks with a broken bone in his foot, which means his season could be over."

Wow, looks like the 49ers season is over..............Garoppolo can't stay on the field. Good chance he and the 49ers part ways after the season is over as there is little dead money there.

This season has been one big injury after another for them.

I am not going to make excuses about the a Niners’ injuries. As the old saying goes, half of the league doesn’t care and the other half is glad you have them.

However, this season has been brutal.

Bosa, then Jimmy G, then Jimmy G again along with Kittle. Add in all the other injuries to Samuel, most of the starting defensive line etc., and the team is a MASH unit full of first stringers.

Ok, I finally caught up with the news on the Steelers Ravens game. ONCE again, John Crybaby Harbaugh is complaining about the last play of the game saying that Minkah Fitzpatrick leveled a shoulder to the helmet of Snead in the end zone..................*** planet is this jack *** on? Fitzpatrick went up for the ball and touched the ball, Snead (ravens) receiver's momentum of also going for the ball collided with Fitzpatrick. Where on this earth is that a personal foul hit to the head? Answer - Ravens La La Land. Basically neither Harbaugh or Lamar Jackson can ever win a big game so its always the ref's fault. And I have to live here and now you know why I can't stand Baltimore. Can it ever just be a good hard fought game where one team wins and one loses? Hey Johnny Boy, when you turn the ball over 4 times, that may be an indication of why you lost, NOT the refs. And oh by the way, they could have given Lamar a 100 extra seconds, wouldn't have mattered, he doesn't perform well under pressure.

IMO

The Niners had a positive COVID test early yesterday morning and since then they have had 3 additional positive tests, contact tracing is underway.

As mentioned before SF has been rocked by injuries. To prove that point one of the players who tested positive for the virus is Debo Samuel. Not big news until you note he is already on the injured reserve list.

There is simply no way the 49ers can compete tonight. Due to injuries and Covid, their wideouts tonight are Kevin White, River Cracraft and Chris Finke. You’d be excused (as all of us are) if your initial reaction was “who?”

COVID is becoming more and more of an issue, I really don't see how they manage to pull off a 16 game season, I think they will go 12 max and stop there..........then have a 8 team playoff in each league with no bye as has been suggested.......................our cases are going up, up, up, averaging 1600 or so a day for three or four days now....................and getting worse.

I was amazed that it was 7-3 for most of the 1st Quarter.

It is all but over for the Niners. I’ll still watch them and hope that those that do take the field play with pride and determination, despite the fact that the odds are against them.
