N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

If fairness, the Rams got jobbed vs the Bills on horrible non call, they should have won that game.

And their new uniforms are growing on me, they actually look pretty good............like the color blue they picked.........

I'm sensing a lot of love for LA now that it is known as the capital of champions! I hate those uniforms, but the blue ones are definitely better than white. The Rams have beat the Deadskins (one win), Cowboys (two wins), Eagles (one win) and NY Giants (one win but against the Deadskins so it doesn't count). McVay has reconfigured the entire offense to hide Goff's glaring inability to make plays. That kind of gimmick offense can work against the non-playoff teams but not against the better teams. The good news for your Pats is that the Bills are already faltering. The Dolphins are showing signs of life though.

The Patriots have arguably the worst group of WR's and TE's in the league; Harry is awful, clearly not a first round talent, Edelman is cooked, I have no idea who the other guys are......................Cam is going to get killed, now the OLine is all banged up, so he'll really get killed.

I thought they had a shot at 12-4................holy smokes, 9-7 would be a minor miracle at this point, at best they are a wild card team.

One of those one and done tomato can teams they used to pummel on their way to the AFCCG and another trip to the Super Bowl.

Hey, 20 years of dominance, nothing lasts forever....................

I really don't know what happened to Goff; the 2018 Rams were a wagon, he was on fire, seems like he's never recovered from that Super Bowl, Belichick's defense put him in some sort of funk, hopefully he snaps out of it, he just doesn't look like the same QB out there.

Without hockey or baseball I finally watched a fair amount of the NFL last night.

I am just curious, what happened to decent tackling?

It went the way of the dinosaurs, along with it's big brother, decent defense. :rolleyes2: -- Al

The big problem for the Pats may lie outside the division. I can see them rallying to squeak out another division title if the Bills collapse. The Dolphins are not going to win that division but the AFC is stacked. Forget the Chiefs. They be only the third best team behind TN and Pittsburgh. Henry is a beast. There is nothing like a back that can run against almost any defense for 150 or more yards in the playoffs. It changes TOP, field position, and wears out the opposition like in the days of yore.

Oh, but they'd dominate, if they were in the NFC Least right now.

Prost!

There are no less than four legit AFC teams this year; Tennessee, Pittsburg, KC and Baltimore. One of Pittsburg and Baltimore will win the division, the other will be a wild card, which is idiotic as either team would pummel the AFC East winner, whoever that ends up being..

This year there are 7 playoff teams, only one bye, so the best record in the conference will be super important.

KC
Tennessee
Pittsburg
Baltimore
Colts
Raiders
Bills/Patriots

Still early, but that's how I see it; either KC/Tennessee or KC/Pittsburg in the AFCCG..........................

George, wish I had that much confidence but we lost Devin Bush for the season. Also, one has to ask when and if Ju Ju will ever show up, he is on the field but from the stat lines I have followed, no one is home in that body.

Your team has an incredible ability to develop WR's; when you look at the pile of hot garbage Brady has had to work with for his career for the most part, it's to his credit they made it to 9 Super Bowls and won 6.

Moss and Welker were great, Edelman has been very good as well, Gronkowski and Hernandez at tight end, but who else?

A local radio host here has some inside information that Belichick is pissed that Gronkowski is playing again; it's one thing to retire, but then come back and want to leave and go somewhere else?

Had he been around last year and had Brown not had his meltdown, who knows how things turn out; it is what it is, whatever.

If Brown had not gone looney he would have been a Steeler for life. Crazy huh, he literally threw away his entire career et al. Rumor in Pittsburgh is that Rooney was going to offer him the Heinz Ward contract to complete his career and then he went off the deep end b/c a young rookie had a great year. You just can't make it up.

By the way, Bruce Arians said absolutely NO to Brown when Brady asked, also another rumor but i believe it. Arians knows the guy better than any.

As the saying goes, million dollar talent; .05 cent head.

This made me laugh. Another gem from Dirty Dan on his Deadskins:

"If the Washington Football Team name catches on and our fans embrace it then we would be happy to have it as our permanent name. I think we have developed a very classy retro look and feel.”

I like their uniforms, the helmets with the player numbers on them is old school.

I like it.

Derrick Henry is an absolute powerhouse.

I was watching the NFL Network yesterday when they were talking about him as an MVP candidate, one “expert” said he can’t win because he isn’t a quarterback.

That is wrong and shameful on so many levels.

Rather like the look of the unis, as well. Never cared for the Indian head on the helmets but I did like the older arrows on the helmet sides. I grew up on the 1960's style uniform, which I prefer over the 'new' look (read Green Bay clone look) that took over when Lombardi came to town. The current uniform is a decent 'old school' compromise look. As to the name...:rolleyes2: -- Al

Yes, the unis aren't bad but it was his comment about the "name" that got me. He thinks "Football Team" is going to catch on with fans. Some industrious individuals have legally acquired most of the possible names in anticipation of the name change and Dirty Danny doesn't want to pay for the rights.

Tonight's match up features two teams with a combined 2-9-1 overall record.

Boy, what excitement...................they really need to get rid of Thursday night football; there are not enough good teams in the league to have 3 prime time games each week.

Whoever wins this game will be competing for the division lead. In fact, if it’s the Iggles, they’ll be tied with the Cowboys.

When I asked my son if he wanted to watch the game he started laughing.

The NFC Least.

An ugly win is still a win. I do wish Peterson would back off going for 2 after touchdown.

We'll see what happens next week, when the Iggles take on the Cowboys, and then the Giants again.

Prost!

I do applaud the efforts of ESPN and the NFL Network when it comes to trying to generate excitement regarding the return of Jimmy G. to New England.

Brady’s departure and the lack of fans in the stands make his return practically irrelevant.
