N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

R.I.P. 49er Hall of Famer Fred Dean.

One of my first memories of the Niners was a radio spot where the station played the Jaw’s theme followed by an announcer’s call of one of his sacks.

I remember him well, ended his career on high note with the 49ers, I remember my football cards when he was a star with the Chargers.

Sorry to hear this.

I saw the highlights of Henry stiff arming that defender on the Bills like a rag doll. He is an absolute beast. TN is quietly rolling along. They are going to give KC and the Steelers a run for their money in the AFC. More bad news with the Falcons getting the virus. That is one team everyone wants to play.

Could the Jets and Giants both go 0-16 this year?

They don’t play each other and it doesn’t look like they are going to be favored in any of their remaining games.

The Jets, yes, but I think the Giants will win a game. The Giants aren’t as bad as the Jets. At times, they have appeared competitive. The Giants HC, Joe Judge, could develop into a good coach. The Jets HC is simply awful. That is why releasing Bell made little sense; Gaze is going to be fired so why release Bell?

Both teams’ ownership makes the Mets ownership look very good, something hard to do.

Come on, guys. The Giants have to play the Redskins twice in the next 3 games, so there is almost zero chance that the Giants go winless. The Jets, on the other hand, have a problem. -- Al

It's a lousy state of affairs for the NFL if both NY teams are bad......................no one wants to go winless, that's terrible.

I think they will be 1 and 2 in draft order.

With Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence being the presumptive No. 1 overall pick and both teams having drafted quarterbacks with high picks in recent years the 2021 draft could be interesting.

I have to eat some crow.

As noted in many of my posts I think Jerry Jones is a terrible GM. I openly made fun of him when he signed Andy Dalton to a huge contract, especially when you consider Dak’s durability.

Now, I am not saying that Dalton is Joe Montana, however in a weak NFC East he gives the Cowboys a realistic shot at a division crown. In his 10 seasons with the Bengals (8 as a starter) he took some weak teams to the playoffs 8 times.

It was a prudent signing.

The Deadskins are in complete free fall. Time for Dirty Danny to call it quits.

yea...
Dalton is no Joe Montana...like you say...that's for sure...^&grin

and yea again...
the only chance they have to make the playoffs is that the East is hopelessly bad...

this season is a wash already...
hopefully Dak will heal...
hopefully Jerry will draft a secondary...
they can't stop anyone...

Ha! Danny Boy should have sold the team years ago before he destroyed the team all the way down to the name. What a complete disgrace the whole Redskin saga has become, a great team history almost totally forgotten by all but the die-hard fans. Sad. -- Al

regional coverage here was the Packers/Buccaneer's game...
I thought it would be a great game...
not so...
never seen Rogers struggle like he did today...
he is always so competitive...
not today in the 38-10 loss...

16 of 35...
2 INT's...one a pick six...the other ran back to the 2 yard line...
5 sacks for 53 yards...
QBR of 35.4...
very uncharacteristic of him...

Brady and the TB defense just keep rolling...
4-2 now...
even Gronk had a big day...
TB is for real...
really good pass rush and secondary...

How about those Steelers..........................did Myles Garrett have a comment after getting his *** kicked this way, sideways, up and down , all day????? I don't care if we win another game, but todays blow out was just TOO SWEET! Still have not watched it but followed the gamecast.

Not sure if anyone saw this "Displayed Class" prior to the game. Kareem Hunt, what another "great role model" https://sports.yahoo.com/browns-rb-...or-myles-garrett-mason-rudolph-221345014.html

They may be in a free fall, but he owns the team, he can do what he wants, that is the beauty of ownership. Like I said, this is an activity of millionaires playing for and at the will of billionaires. It is not a public Company, the athletes are merely pawns employed by Kings, it is what it is. He doesn't have to win another game, but he will still collect his $200 and pass Go.

Let me get behind you in the getting a heaping serving of crow line.

Combat was right; the Patriots are not very good, Cam looked horrible today, the defense couldn't stop a mediocre Denver team, the Patriots without a doubt have THE worst set of WR's and TE's in football, ZERO offensive weapons.

And Belichick was sleepwalking through this game, called a time out for no apparent reason, did not challenge a piss poor spot that cost them a first down and declined a penalty that would have taken Denver out of FG range,

I think Combat was right and this is going to be his last year.

Brady and Gronk looked dominant today, that was the Gronk of old out there today. He made the right move leaving New England, he would have had no talent around him, he'll be good for another 3 or so years on Tampa.

We're in for some lean years, no doubt about it..................

That was a season saving win for the Niners last night against the Rams.

I’m not so sure about that. Jimmy G looked great in the first half but terrible in the 2nd. They were unable to mount any offense at all. Mostert’s injury played a factor. The defense played very well but Goff missed some key throws and made some mistakes that allowed the 49ers to survive. The inability to mount a pass rush is going to hurt them. They were fortunate to win last night.

You never want to play a team after they have been blown out and embarrassed. And the Rams are overrated at this point. Their only wins are against NFC East teams who are all one win teams after five weeks. The Rams are now 0-2 against teams with a winning record. Still a winnable game except for Country Club Goff. He is awful. I would trade him to the Jets in a heartbeat for Darnold and a draft pick. And how did the Jets offense do without Darnold this week? Maybe he is not the problem. TN and the Steelers are playing lights out. Henry is the MVP. If he stays healthy, they might run the table.

If fairness, the Rams got jobbed vs the Bills on horrible non call, they should have won that game.

And their new uniforms are growing on me, they actually look pretty good............like the color blue they picked.........
