N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (3 Viewers)

You forgot the bit about the numerous claims of sexual assault. All these guys are told to set up charities to improve their reputation after they get in trouble. Some PR guy handles that for him. A few homers are then convinced they are a saint. He is a slightly above average QB with the best defense in the league. Substitute any starting NFL QB and the Steelers are still doing well with that defense and coaching. They even had a winning record last year with that sorry backup QB who couldn't start on a high school team.

Doug
I see you are back to trolling. Claims are just that, NO CHARGES tells you a lot, it means that they do not have a case. Bad behavior is not necessarily criminal. Again, he is 38 now, not the same guy, a lot of people at 25 with 25M in the bank act like jerks until reality kicks you in the face, it did him. Charity, do some research, he does not have a PR firm, it is all him and his wife.

Wow - "slightly above average "- again What planet are you on????? Your comments are delusional and just about as non factual as it can get. Again, he will be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer, you can cry in your beer that day and wish it ain't so, but guess what, it will be reality.

And correction, their back up got them to 8-8 with a tough defense, is that a winning record or a NON losing one? No, sorry, 9-0 with Big Ben......................facts don't lie. 4 TD passes yesterday, defense last time I looked can't generate drives nor make the throws............just another game for him. Oh and I guess all the 4th Qtr comebacks over his career were the defense. Again FACT.

Just so you get your numbers right: Career Historic Passer Rating - 94.4. For context Tom Brady is 97.1, Drew Brees is 98.7. So no Doug, mediocre is not how I would describe his stats.

Seriously, it seems like you always have something to say about the ones who are winning consistently - Tom Brady, Drew Brees and now Big Ben. Hmm. are you jealous? Since we are digging up facts, the ONLY reason the Shams recently saw a Super Bowl is because of an obvious JOBBED CALL by the Refs against the Saints. And then what did the Shams do? Turned in one of the most abysmal performances in Super Bowl History, that is EVER. Yup, that is what the Shams did................

So, I will happily stick with my mediocre quarterback.

WOW, and while we are at it, Tom Brady may be old, but seemingly has taken over a Tampa Bay team who always had a decent D and somehow they are winning, but then again, you think he is a mediocre QB too. Quarterbacks matter in today's league far more than any other position on the field and the "Great" ones are the ones who consistently win and appear in the Super Bowl, funny how that works. Jeez, if the Shams had paid for Tom Brady, you may be sitting in a lot better position then you are right now.

Case closed.

It will come down to the Steelers and Chiefs in the AFC championship game. The winner of that game is the favorite. But I know you have the LA love in those snazzy new uniforms. So maybe the trifecta for LA this year with the Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams. And the mighty (and fully NCAA compliant) Trojans are hanging in there. I also like those new LA Kings retro jerseys, so there might have to be a new word invented for LA winning a championship in every sport.

The Shams better start paying the refs now, they deserve to be in talks about the Super Bowl as much as the man on the moon.

Speaking of Trojans, should have lost the last 2 games, got very fortunate against mediocre teams. If all they play is the PAC 10, they should not even be in any conversation regarding top college teams. They would get blown out handily by a number of SEC Teams including Alabama, the ACC - Clemson, Ohio St from the Big 10 and I will even make myself cringe and say Notre Dame would beat em. I see a very fortunate franchise who was more likely than not beat but got away with it two weeks in a row.

I like the purple and gold, but they need to go real old school back to the 70's and put the king's crown on the jersey...................anything beats those hideous black uniforms, was that Gretsky's idea as if so, it was a dumb one...................don't count the Rams out, the playoffs are going to be a completely different animal this year with no real HFA, the two sports where HFA matters most is football and basketball...............

Back to more important topics in this thread, anybody see the latest Antonio Brown incident 2 weeks before Bucs signing https://www.yahoo.com/sports/antoni...weeks-before-signing-with-bucs-220001983.html

You just can't make it up.

They've been talking about it here today; the Bucs claim they did not know about this.

He's not right in the head; I seriously wonder if he's got CTE, didn't he almost get his head taken off in a game vs the Bengals or the Ravens?

AB...that's my boy...:rolleyes2:

can't believe this is all he has done so far...

actually...I'm impressed...

Brown has been mediocre at best in his return, Tampa can cut him and say they did it based on his latest antics.

The fact is if he caught 10 touchdowns in those 2 games they’d find some way to justify his behavior and keep him on the team.

I agree, he definitely drank too much of his own Kool Aid. It is like he lives in a fantasy world and something has gone wrong. His sense of right versus wrong is way off, in all seriousness, he is a danger to himself and others, the violent undertones of each act he has been accused of or committed is present. This is a case where the Ginger Hair Stooge needs to step in and say enough is enough, you need help, you are out of football.

Well, looks like the NFL is digging in on the Antonio Brown incident. Apparently it all started over a landscaping issue?! and then escalated after that was cured months later when he was asked to escort a guest inside the gated community. The major damage was a security camera and he allegedly threw his bicycle at security. Good thing no one was injured. I do wonder what the NFL will do in this case. You would think something due to perception. Of course the Bucs are "Nothing to See Here" on this one. The almighty promise of winning trumps all!

I think at the end of the day, my opinion is this guy needs help.

Brown is Exhibit A when it comes to my theory that giving second chances is for suckers.

Never mind third and fourth chances......

I like the way the NFL has tried to hype up the Brady vs. the Rams game this weekend but somehow I can’t get into it.

Brady isn’t what he used to be and that Super-Bowl (2018) matchup seems like it happened 100:years ago.

I will be watching this game with interest and rooting the GOAT on for a hopefully career day!!! As much pain as Brady has caused me as a Steelers fan, I appreciate his ability and I hope they have a career day this weekend. PS - Gronk is also on my fantasy week team, so I need the points!!!!!!!

After further testing it appears that Drew Brees doesn’t have 5 broken ribs, he has 11.

Yet somehow he threw a touchdown after last week’s hit that inflicted that damage.

That pretty much redefines toughness.

Holy smokes, that is awful. He is another one that is an unbelievable QB of a generation.

He’s lucky he’s alive. Apparently he broke some of them during the Tampa game.

Great game between the Ravens and Titans. Henry is an absolute beast on the field. The Ravens D wanted no part of him in OT. TN may not be the best team in the AFC but they are dangerous in the playoffs with a guy who can run the ball like that.

Steelers 10-0. I will take it, crazy but at least it gives you something to watch in these crazy times. Ravens losing today certainly helped, but if the Steelers can stay sane this week, they could deliver the knockout to their division rival by beating them on Tgiving. What a wonderful present that would be!

The NFC East continues to amaze and not in a good way.

Each team has 3 wins and the only reason why the Eagles are in first place is because they have a tie on their record instead of a 7th loss.
