N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

I’m going to have to disagree with the above. 17 points were gifted by the 49ers yesterday. Washington’s offense was anemic. They beat a team that on offense is decimated by injuries and they lost one of their best players on the first play of the game and with all that they still had a chance to win. Mullins is competent for a series here or there but a whole game? No.

The Giants looked poor yesterday. Maybe Jones came back too soon or maybe the Giants are just not that good.

It was the Eagles’ turn to beat a quality opponent.

Next week? Who knows?

Who is he ****ting; rich people and people of influence will be getting the vaccine WAY before others do.

Unfortunately the NFL isn’t the only pro sport that has taken precedence over the general public or first responders, nurses etc.

Take Oregon. The Trailblazers are tested daily. Meanwhile the St. Charles Health System, which operates four large hospitals in the central part of the state, reports that 18% of its workers have been tested despite constant daily and hourly exposure to the virus.

I can’t decide if that is more embarrassing or heartbreaking.

Anyone catch that Ravens/Browns game last night?.............Lamar Jackson left the game with "cramps".............did you see him running to the locker room...............no cramps there fellas, something else rumbling in his stomach though.........he barely made it to the locker room, where he promptly dropped the kids off at the pool, returned to the game and won it for the Ravens, thus putting the final nail in the Patriots 2020 playoff chances...............

Watched the game. It reinforces the value of Jackson to Baltimore but it was the Browns that really impressed me, despite their losing the game. They just kept coming at the Ravens. The Browns will be a real pain for someone in the playoffs and will be a factor for the first time in years. -- Al

Jason...
wow...
strange story...
6 man football...an 80 yard field...and using a drum cadence for the snap...
never heard of that...

but if the kids are having fun...
let it be...^&grin

So all the Rams have to do this weekend is beat the Jets and they clinch a playoff spot. If I were a betting person, then I'm going all out with the Jets. Take the points. The Jets are 0-13. The Rams haven't won three games in a row all season. The math gods are calling out this one. I'm hoping to put the jinx on the Jets by taking this pessimistic view.

Rams are a 17 point favorite. I’d be shocked if they don’t cover. Jets are horrible in every way. That fiasco in the Raiders game sucked the life out of them.

Marcus Peters says he didn’t spit “at” Jarvis Landry he just spit “near” him during Monday Night’s game.

In the age of COVID he should be suspended for the rest of the season.

$12,500 fine for Peters.

That is pathetic considering players have been fined more for writing messages on their cleats.

I am done with thinking the NFL is serious about COVID 19 protocols.

Evidently there were 2 NFL games played on Saturday. Never had a clue until checking ESPN this AM. Really? The NFL had to play on College Conference Championship Day? Watched several college games and I am guessing I'm not the only one that had no clue the NFL played. Wonder how their ratings were?:rolleyes2: -- Al

My recollection is that the NFL has broadcast games the week before Christmas for several years (and I’m sure the schedule was set several months ago) whereas I believe conference championships normally take place earlier but as this year is far from normal, the games were pushed back.

I knew they were on but couldn't be bothered, NFL ratings are way down this year, I read an article that theorized the main reason is due to the NFL ramming social justice down the viewers throats, which is much the same reason why NBA ratings were way down this year as well.

People get bombarded enough with social justice messages in TV commercials, the news, the internet, awards shows, musicians, actors and actresses....................professional athletes and leagues jobs are to entertain people, not carpet bomb them with how woke they are.

Al...I was unaware of these schedule changes too...I missed these games too...would of loved to watch Buffalo...
