N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (3 Viewers)

NL Least is shaping up the way I thought it would, back in November. NY and Washington are coming on strong to the finish, Dallas and Philadelphia are fading. I think the Giants will "win" the division.

The Eagles have the toughest schedule to the end of the season, including playing both Dallas and Washington the last two weeks. Next week, it's the Saints, and then the Cardinals. It does remain to be seen whether benching Wentz for Hurts will have more of the positive effect it had in the Green Bay game. I don't think it will help them win enough games to have the best winning percentage, but now it's about not finishing last.

Prost!

Pats and Rams tonight. Should be a good game. Weird that the Pats play back to back games in LA. Hopefully the Rams give them a better game than the Chargers.

Not sure how it will effect the pats.
New Covid rules say no practice two days after a game. Since they played Sunday, does that mean they only got to practice yesterday?

I think the two day rule was just for last week only as the NFL was worried about the Thanksgiving effect.

Darn - there goes that excuse! I need a new one for when they lose now!!! I know, I’ll go with they just aren’t very good! Haha

It didn't turn out to be much of a game last night. I was surprised the Rams could run the ball so easily on the Pats. Not so much that the Rams D shut down Cam. He looked awful. The Pats made an understandable gamble on him but it's time to try something else. Their season is effectively over. Can't imagine Belichick is going to stay around much longer.

I didn’t see much of the game but is it all Cam’s fault?

Based on what Belichick said earlier this year the cupboard is bare and they need to rebuild. I think for a person like him, it will be a challenge that he will relish.

They had four trips inside the red zone last night; two turnovers on downs, a field goal and a horrendous screen pass that got intercepted and returned for a TD, a -4 net.

First and goal on the 4 and they can't score, horrible play calling there.

Cam is cooked, he sucks, love him as a person and a leader, hate him as my QB.

They took a shot and it did not work out; Stidham is not the answer.

They have a lot of work to do; they are great shape salary cap wise in 2021, the cap drops to 175 million.

The team they played last night had better win the SB this year as next year, their top 4 players account for 114 million of that money, good luck filling out the other 49 roster spots with 61 million to work with.

Some ballbag today said "The Rams got their revenge last night"; really, had they played like they did last night two years ago, they win the SB, winning last night does not change that.

So chew on that.

This Pats team is so bad that I doubt any Rams fan felt like it was revenge for anything much less the SB. It was important in the standings, though, as it puts the Rams a game up in the NFC West with the Jets on the schedule next week.

The Pats are definitely depleted with talent but Belichick has never had a star driven team. He usually gets the most from his players. It's not happening with this team. Cam is awful. But he didn't get any help. The Rams, who haven't been able to run the ball on most anyone, ran wild on the Pats D. The rookie Akers had something like 170 yards and was gashing them all night long. He looked like Gale Sayers out there. The final score was much closer than the game even at 24-3.

Stidham isn’t the answer, but his one real drive looked better then cam to me

I haven't see too many Rams games this year, but Goff looks average at best, he had several nice throws and outside of three drives, did next to nothing.

That defense is impressive; Goff just needs to not screw up and let the defense do their thing....as the saying goes, offense wins games, defense wins championships.

This will be the third time in the past 20 years where the AFC playoffs will be 100% stress free for me.

Yeah the team is not very good this year, but I'll take the past 20 years, so would any other fan.

I love reading on various websites how giddy opposing teams fans are over the Patriots not being very good this year; don't blame them as they basically kicked everyones ***** for the past 20 years outside of the Giants.

And the Broncos.

For whatever reason, the Broncos have given the Patriots fits every since I've been a fan, Elway to Manning to whoever, they just seem to have their number.

it's sure not all Cam's fault...
the Rams have one of the best defenses in the NFL...
6 sacks last night would rattle any QB's game...
the game would of been a lot closer if NE had capitalized on their INT...
and red zone drives...

IMO this year an offense is going to win the championship and my money is on Mahomes and KC

I have always liked defense more than offense but today’s NFL is definitely geared towards offense.

The game itself wants offensives to succeed, just look at the constant pass interference calls, the protection of QB’s etc.

The NFL is looking for points, not defensive stats when it comes to its headlines.

On the strength of a 4 game winning streak, the Redskins have taken over 1st place in the NFC LEast. Never would have figured this turn of events. They beat the 49ers on the back of 2 defensive TDs, winning without scoring an offensive TD. Don't know how this race will shake out but the Redskins have already done a lot more than I thought they would or could. -- Al

What’s the record for most missed kicks? PAT and FG combined. Because this weekend has to be close!

The Deadskins are playing as well as anyone in the NFC. And they are getting better every week. Not a team anyone wants to play in the playoffs. Their D will give them a shot in any game.

I am having a hard time believing what I am seeing. Too many years of bad football, so I wait for the other shoe to drop. The whole house of cards sits on the shoulders of Alex Smith. Without him the offense doesn't go, as was perfectly on display yesterday as Haskins took over early in the game for the hurting Smith. Love the defense, worry about the offense. -- Al
