N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

I know it seems like a minor point but the networks that telecast the games really need to stop with the overview of empty stadiums just as the broadcast begins.

Good, he deserves the assault charge, but shouldn't battery have been included also??? And great bodily harm???

And then I read the rest of the team was penalized after winning the game, they have now been made to forfeit?!?!? I guess the rotten apple ruined it for the bunch.

yea well....
you play with poo and your hands stink...
that shot will follow him through his professional career...
if he has one...
they really look at stuff like that when drafting...

The kid snapped, did a horrible thing and is going to pay the consequences, which is how things should work.

To punish the whole team for his moronic act is lousy IMO, that sets a terrible example.

The Saints are looking like the team to beat in the NFC. A terrible loss by the Seahawks to the lowly Giants. I think that puts the mighty Rams back in first place in the West via the tiebreaker.

George,
I agree for the rest of the kids on the team as they appear innocent. However, I do get it somewhat in that they are penalizing the Coaching staff for allowing an environment for that to happen. NOW, of course, "Us Monday Morning Types" on this board do not know the total context, history, etc. As I am a gambling man, I tend to believe that digging deep will reveal previous trouble incidents and atmosphere, that is just my gut feeling gamble. Then penalizing the "team" makes more sense. Again, this will be a one hit wonder story that will go into oblivion in the next sports cycle.

Again, I reiterate my comments on Myles Garrett incident in the NFL> you can't help but connect these types of actions as I am sure (unfortunately) there were kids who saw what Garret did and thought it was "cool" or "ok" or "normal". Just horsecrap IMO.

Tom...
NFL Network reported on the incident yesterday...
and alluded to the fact that this kid has had issues in the past with his anger management with his sporting activities...
but did not elaborate on what he has done in the past...

he is also a very highly regarded wrestler at his school...

All I can hope is that kid learns a lesson from this and gets the help he needs to control that anger situation, he's a loose cannon and needs help.

Professional help.

Before he does something worse.

{eek3}{eek3}{eek3} 2020 continues to be from The Twilight Zone as the Redskins defeat the Steelers 23-17 after trailing 14-0. Just unbelievable. -- Al

Steelers go down. Man, Redskins wanted it more. Steelers look uncomfortable like they don't want to play, I can't explain it. Just looked low energy yet scared to lose, well they did. Dropped passes, didn't make any of their own luck, Washington hung in and made plays and beat them. Just infuriating. Missed scoring, etc etc etc, basically the playbook of a loss.

They're better off................going 16-0 isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Several Patriots from that 2007 have said the pressure to go undefeated as time went on wore them out.

Steelers played last Wednesday. Maybe that had something to do with it.

I know there are no moral victorious but....

The Niners have been decimated by injuries at just about every position this season and now they are all but playing in a bubble for most of the rest of their schedule.

Yet they showed up last night, left nothing on the field and gave a division leader (who had all of their starters) a great game.

Effort might not matter much anymore but it still matters to me.

Nonetheless, as presently constituted they’re not as talented as the Bills. Even if they were fully healthy it would be a close game. The Bills are a good time and could conceivably be the number 2 seed.

Some big shake ups in the AFC this week. The Ravens, Steelers, and Titans are all trending down. The Browns and Bills are starting to roll. In the NFC, a terrible loss by the Seahawks. The Saints are rolling even without Brees. Shaping up like a Saints-Chiefs Super Bowl. But a long way to go. Injuries and virus disruptions are hanging over every team.

I was shocked to hear the saints are something like 8-0 without Brees

Not that his job is threatened but team must love that stat

The Eagles finally bench Wentz. That's a lot of money sitting on the pine, but worth a try. Nothing to lose except some more games.

A 128 million dollar back up..................that's quite an investment.
