N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

I have to be honest, I am back to how I was in the beginning of this season, will cursory pay attention, but I am not scheduling my weekend to watch this crap product. Honestly, the play on the field is crap in most cases and is understandable with the lack of practice and consistency. Or maybe between everything that has gone down with pro sports, I am in the category of I just don't care. I can't decide and haven't taken the time to do so!!

You've got a triple header both days this weekend, then a double header both days next weekend......................once the dust settles we'll see who is left standing in each Conference for the championship games.......................I really don't care about the NFC, not pulling for any of those teams, I want either GB or NO in the NFCCG, would be ok with the Rams getting there too instead of NO, but Green Bay is my #1 rooting interest..........Rams/GB in January in GB would harken back to those Rams/Vikings Championship games in the mid 1970's.

Green Bay ranks right up there with the Canadiens, Yankees and Celtics; the gold standard for their respective leagues.

Plus those uniforms are the bomb, virtually no change in 60 years, classic.

Meant to say I don't care about any of the teams in the AFC, not the NFC..........................

What a great season, going into the “Wild Card” weekend where 12 teams out of 32 will be playing, the 2 biggest stories are the Eagles losing on purpose in Week 17 and a COVID outbreak within the Brown’s organization......

Time to pick'em:

NFC:

Saints 38 Bears 13: This will be an ugly beatdown.

Rams 24 Seahawks 21: The Rams D will shutdown Wilson and they might pull it out with some luck and if Goff doesn't turn the ball over.

Bucs 27 Deadskins 17: Washington's D keeps it close. Brady throws a couple INTs but Danny's boys can't score enough points for the upset.

AFC:

Steelers 31 Browns 17: Pittsburgh wakes up and wins the COVID Bowl easily.

Bills 37 Colts 31: Rivers keeps the Colts in the game but the Bills are too good. And it will be chilly.

Ravens 41 TN 20:
The Ravens won't be caught napping this year. They will roll all over TN in a revenge game and show no mercy.

Every Saturday game is impacted by a major player who is listed as questionable:

Diggs (Buffalo)
Goff (LA)
Smith (WFT)

I still feel like none of it matters as Kansas City and Green Bay are destined to meet in the Super Bowl.

I think they will be some interesting games today...
and tomorrow...

I'm anxious to watch Buffalo...
Cole Beasley is scheduled to start...
while they were my dark horse weeks ago...
they actually ended up with the second best record in the NFL...
should be fun to watch...
a blowout is very possible...

also curious if Washington can get enough pressure to make Brady uncomfortable...
if not...
could also be a blowout...
I'm sure their game plan is to get him to release the ball as quick as possible...
Washington's problem has been that they can't score and if they fall behind...
it could get ugly...

the Rams will also rely on their defense to keep it competitive...
the 12th man in Seattle's unusually noisy dome will be insignificant...
should be a good game...
if LA can generate some offense...

Bills got lucky today..................Reich called a horrible game, went for it when he shouldn't have, didn't go for it when he should have, left 6 points on the board today, the Colts handed the Bills a touchdown with a boneheaded offsides on 4th down, the Bills did not impress me today.

they really did...
Indianapolis had a ton of long yardage plays on those quick scores...
and they ran at will on the Bills too...
but Allen and Diggs did enough to win...

enjoying the Seahawks and Rams game...
Ram's defense is lights out so far...
they can get after a passer and their secondary really helps that...
could be a bit of an upset if it holds up...

Wolford was taken to the hospital...
it's Goff's game now...

Some amazing officiating in the Rams game. Wolford is sliding to the ground and Adams comes in like a missile with a blow to the head. The refs throw a flag, but then pick it up. Wolford goes to the hospital. Just before halftime the Rams run the ball and the ball carrier is tackled with 36 seconds left. A Seahawk player is injured but have they no TOs. Instead of a ten second runoff and letting the clock run out the refs reset the clock at 44 seconds which means the Rams had to run a play to end the half.

I agree with both of those on the officiating calls...

with Donald out...
Goff needs to do something...
but he just seems helpless...

congrats Doug...
did they mention the severity of Donald's injury or if he would be back next week?

That defense is legit, kudos to Goff for battling through his injury.

I hope all of their banged up players can go next week..............

Now some guy named Heineken is the QB for WFT...................and he looks horrible so far.

Heineken...^&grin

that second pass he threw could have been caught...it was pretty much on the money...

if they can't get some pressure on Brady...it's gonna be a long night...

The Rams likely go to Green Bay. So the same tired theme will play out about the Rams being unable to win in the cold. Even though Aaron Rodgers is from California and Aaron Donald played at Pitt. Jalen Ramsey is one cool cat. I thought the Rams didn't need him at his salary but he is a shutdown corner. Floyd sacked Russell Wilson 7 times this season! Amazing. Wilson looked even worse than Goff with his broken thumb. Wolford, Donald and Kupp are all banged up. But a playoff road win is still a win!

Some tomato can named Heineken almost knocked of Tompa Bay..................if the Saints win tomorrow vs Tribshitsky and the Bears and the Packers win as expected, Tompa goes to New Orleans, what a shootout that will be between two AARP members.................

awwww come on man..."almost knocked them off"...whaaaaaaaaat????

TB was never behind...not once...

the line was -9...they won by 8...pretty much as Las Vegas expected...

you watched the game?
I'm guessing Evans and Goodwin dropped 8 balls they should have caught...
they dropped so many passes Brady was yelling at them...

Brady had a rating of 104.3...

"almost knocked them off"...

"wha choo talkin bout Willis?"

So goes the NFL, Brady beat a mediocre WFT now they are the favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Whoever wins the Sunday night game will take their place.

That is until we get to next weekend and Kansas City and Green Bay return to the forefront of all of the Super Bowl talk.

Jason...

Tampa Bay...favorites to win the SB?????

maybe by the residents of Tampa Bay...^&grin
not too many else of the football fans in America believe that...
they are favorites to win the NFC...
actually not even a favorite to win their next game...
most websites have similar odds to the list posted below...

Honestly, no, I did not, it was football overload and I got bored after about 10 minutes of watching Heinekin bumble and stumble around out there, so I watched a tremendous movie instead called "The king of staten island", I had heard some good things about it, turned out to be a great watch.

IE, my time was better spent elsewhere.

Two of the three games today look like clunkers too.
