N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (1 Viewer)

they found a way to blow it...
Dalton sucks...
need Dak back next year healthy...

wish McCarthy had thrown a flag on that reception that resulted in a NY field goal...
they might have overruled it...
if so...
Cowboys could have won it with a field goal...

I would be embarrassed to wear a cap that said...

"7-9 Cowboys...Division Winner"...^&grin

I can’t understand why he didn’t challenge the Pettis “catch” because it was clearly an incomplete pass. Jerry will be tearing him a new one.

Certainly interesting finish to the Steeler game. Mason Rudolph nearly led a full scale comeback that would have sunk the Brown's chances. Browns win by 2. I didn't even think the game would be close. Cleveland is just not a very good football team. Not saying the Steelers are great, but wow.

Now all bets are off, in the playoffs nothing really matters other than getting a win.

I'll go with Bills, Steelers and Titans in next weeks games if the scores today hold up, then Chefs/Bills in the AFCCG........................

And wow, what a tough match up the Bucs get in round one, the winner of the AFC East...........

The Rams are in with Forrest Gump at QB. Wolford actually played as well or better than Goff (the $100 million QB). They get Seattle in the playoffs. A team they can play with. Russell Wilson looks shot. The Rams D can keep it close and then it could go either way. I wouldn't want to play TN in the playoffs with Henry or the Ravens. Both those teams are dangerous. Not impressed with the Browns. They blow a game to the Jets and then struggle to win against the Steelers with the backup QB.

Well, should be an interesting next weekend. I have no idea what to expect, but that is typical of this year. AFC I think the Ravens/TN game could be the best game, but TN is lucky, they need to figure out how to play when ahead and they need to get out early on the Ravens, that will be key. Steelers should have seen something today as they seemed to figure out the Browns by half with their back ups, you would hope they can win, but again, no confidence. Bills should wipe the Colts off the field. NFC - oh boy, not even going to predict, what a mess other than you have to go with Green Bay. As to the rest, who knows, TB gets an obvious easy first week which is wrong wrong wrong with the current playoffs. I have hated the division seedings forever b/c of very weak divisions.

Brad...

I don't know...
Aikman said McCarthy was watching the replay on the big screen...
but I guess they really rely on the guy in the booth to tell them...
still..
.at that point in the game...
he should of used a challenge or timeout...
no point in crying over missed or bad calls...
they happen to everybody's team all the time...

George...

I have watched the Bills 4-5 times this year...
they are a very complete team...
Cole Beasley...(who reminds me of Edelman...only not as tough)..
their slot receiver and also best receiver didn't even play...
and they still threw up 56 on a good Miami defense...

agree with you in the AFCCG game...hope it happens...that should be a doozy!

TB had no control over their opponent...but yea...they should win...
especially if they get Philly...I would like to see Brady go deep in the playoffs...

Maybe the NFL should consider reseeding the teams once the playoffs start to avoid scenarios like a 6-10 team hosting a playoff game.

Sorry, that's just idiotic.

I'd be embarrassed as an Eagles fan to see my coach purposely tank like that.

I'd be embarrassed as a Giants fan to be upset that the Eagles tanked when my team was 6-10.

I'd be embarrassed as a Football team fan to celebrate winning the division and hosting a playoff game.

I'd be embarrassed as a Cowboys fan just because.

The 7-9 Redskins win the NFC LEast and their reward is a one and done playoff scenario against a Brady led team they have no chance against. But really, they had no chance against anyone, anyway. If Philly had been interested in winning the game, it would probably be the Giants headed to the one and done game, but here we are. The Redskins start their SB run Saturday and all I can say is, well, someone had to win the NFC LEast, so may as well be the team with no name.:rolleyes2: -- Al

The Eagles tanked to get a better draft pick. It was an embarrassing spectacle although to have a 6-10 team host a playoff game would also have been embarrassing.

I bet the Giants fan are upset...
I'm not saying Philly tanked...
but I feel like the coach weakened their chances with the QB change...
Sudfeld wasn't even close on most of his passes...not even close...

they very well might have...
we'll never know for sure...
but...I bet their fans are happy though...
they need a QB badly in the draft...

As a Giants fan, I am thrilled that the piece of garbage Eagles tanked. If the Redskins (I will never call them their stupid new name) had lost, the Giants would have been the worst team ever to make the playoffs at 6-10. At 7-9, the Redskins are tied with Seattle for the worst record ever to win a division, which is far less embarassing for the NFC East, which, lets face it, has been an embarassment the last couple of years. With a little luck Tom Brady and Tampa Bay will humiliate the Redskins, and we can all forget about the abysmal performance of the entire NFC East this year, and watch the teams that deserve to be in the playoffs (as I've said many times, no team with a loosing record deserves to make the playoffs) play. That being said, if there were ever a team I wished catastrophic bad luck upon, its Philadelphia. Putting their third string quarterback in when they were down a fieldgoal entering the 4th Quarter (not to mention passing on attempting a 53 yard field goal to tie the game at the end of the third quarter knowing they were going to do so) is possibly the most spiteful and gutless act I've ever seen by a team in any sport.

I think the Deadskins actually have a shot against Tampa. The Bucs have been inconsistent looking like world beaters one week and inept the next. Brady is clearly not the QB he once was and the Skins have a great D. If the D can keep it close and make Brady throw some INTs, it could go either way.

Will not be betting the rent money on this scenario.:wink2: Alex Smith is hobbled and the Redskins have no chance if he can't perform but, as my old momma once said, "Next best thing to playing and winning is playing and losing." (Apologies to Spencer 'Speed' Weed of "Hard Times").^&grin -- Al

An embarrassing end to an embarrassing season in the most embarrassing division in the NFL. Now all dose guys in Filluffya can spend the next seven months whining about it, in that awful, grinding accent, on 94.1 FM.

In between complaints about the Sixers.

Prost!

The Rams beat Tampa in Tampa. So anything is possible. The best team doesn't always win these matchups. I do think the Deadskins' D can make life difficult for Shady and make a game of it. They could also get blown out.

Yesterday reminded me of what happened to the Giants in the 1988 season. In the last game of the season, the Giants needed the 49ers to beat the Rams to get into the playoffs but the 49ers, who held the divisional championship tiebreaker with the Rams and thus had nothing really to play for, didn’t put up much of an effort and the Rams thrashed them, thereby knocking the Giants out of the playoffs. NY was pretty mad but got their revenge a couple of years later in the 1990 NFC title game.

Being something of a pessimist where the Redskins are concerned, I'm thinking blowout for Brady and gang, but maybe that's just me.:rolleyes2: -- Al
