N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

George...
this is a hard spot for Kraft to come back from...
family...friends...fans...haters...
everybody is wondering how and why?
it just doesn't make sense...
a multi billionaire in a public massage parlor...
the story is just insane...
it's gonna follow him forever and will sadly be part of his legacy...
I was listening to Rome the other day...
a couple of Pats fans (like you)...
called in and voiced their displeasure with Kraft...
if a video exists...
TMZ will probably air it...
which I personally don't care to watch...
I can't imagine Florida...
the home of the Dolphins...
will cut him much slack on not trying to embarrass him further...
the charge is a misdemeanor...
not a big deal really...
he made a mistake...
I wish I could tell you I think it will all blow over...
but this will follow him forever...
still...
the good news...
NE is probably the favorite to repeat this year...

Yup, he should just step down to save himself further embarrassment.

The mantra for next year "Win one for the Zipper"...……………………...

I am hoping for a Kraft Suspension … it brings the Patriots "GOOD LUCK"

Brady Suspended for 4 games because there was .000000000002 PSI less in a football
RESULT: Patriots win Super Bowl 51 --> Brady wins MVP

Edelman suspended for 4 games due to medication he was talking for injury.
RESULT: Patriots win Super Bowl 53 --> Edelman wins MVP

SOooooooo let's hope he gets a 4 games suspension … ^&confuse
RESULT: Patriots win Super Bowl 54 / Brady gets ring 7 / Kraft gets to babble on stage again ... {sm4}

As horrible as this incident is in total when you look at the element of human sex trafficking, Kraft's biggest punishment in all of this is the embarrassment, shame and ridicule that he's brought on himself and his franchise.

He really is a moron, he should step down as owner and hand the keys to his Son and just go away. He looks like crap, a shriveled up old man, like there is something not right upstairs, he's got this vacant look about him lately. Just go away, I don't want to see some old boozebag handed a trophy and slur "And tonight, we're all Patriots" ever again...……..adios Bob.

I love how his lawyers are claiming he's innocent; they have him dead to rights on video tape. For once, I'd just like someone, anyone to say "Yeah, I'm guilty, I was stupid, I am prepared to face whatever consequences there will be for my actions."

Oh and the reports I'm reading about how the NFL is going to dock them draft picks is hysterical; yeah, sure they are...……….wishful thinking by all the haters out there, that will be the day you punish the team for the stupidity of the owner...…………...the Colts and Cowboys among others say hello.

Welp, this pretty much closes the book on the 2018 NFL season...…...it's over, but not with a happy ending (so to speak)………………...

Kraft has embarrassed the team, perhaps the city. However, the folks who write the late night show monologues are surely grateful.

I will say I’m impressed he had the drive to engage in such reckless behavior for pleasures of the flesh. He doesn’t look fit and virile. I’m guessing he was on some version of viagra.

I think Goodell is also in a tough spot on this.

If he is too lenient with Kraft the players etc. will say that there is a double standard. If he is too Draconian he will give credence to the anti-Patriots mantra.

What sort of punishment did he give the Colts for their owners drug issues or the Cowboys when Jerrah had strippers on a party bus, anyone remember?

I'm sure he'll lay down whatever punishment the other owners tell him to hand out.

Two million dollar fine, loss of all 2019 draft picks, the players have to wear they helmets backwards and their shoes tied together this season sounds about right.

And they'll still make the playoffs.

When I think of Kraft, fit and virile are the last two words that come to mind.

He really needs to lay off the sauce, he looks like a man in his 80's, not 70's.

And lose that Mod Squad haircut and those foolish sneakers he wears with his 2,000.00 suits.

Here's an article on how the NFL treated owners with legal problems, https://boston.cbslocal.com/2019/02...ft-patriots-nfl-actions-owners-legal-trouble/

The one most similar to Kraft is Irsay. I wouldn't expect any punishment for Kraft more serious than what Irsay received.

this is going to get a whole lot uglier if a graphic video is released...
public conception will negatively skyrocket if it is...
it's one thing to read about Ray Rice and domestic abuse...
but to watch the video on the elevator of him knocking out his fiance with punch to the face...
and dragging her out the door...
that's another thing all together...

I don't believe the situations are comparable other than a "picture is worth a thousand words." Although it will look bad, it shouldn't affect the punishment meted out by Goodell. Moreover, Kraft is one of the more powerful owners and Goodell will bear that in mind. This is more embarrassing for Kraft than anything else. It's not the kind of publicity you want but it will blow over.

Suspending and/or fining a multi-billionaire owner is just a PR move. It is a joke that has no practical impact. After they make the token gesture, they all go in the back room and fall on the ground laughing at their gullible fans.

What would you suggest then as punishment for a crime that will probably plead out as a misdemeanor (with probation likely) or may be dropped altogether?

I agree with whoever said the punishment by the nfl will be nothing compared to the personal embarrassment of the whole thing.

Nothing because it is a meaningless PR gesture designed to appease a false sense of public outrage. Be honest and say that they are multi-billionaires and can do whatever they like. It's the responsibility of law enforcement - not the NFL - to punish folks for any crime. This business of "punishing" players and owners for crimes is a PR shell game to give them cover. It's ultimately up to the public to put aside their sports hero worship and reach appropriate conclusions about how to respond by not going to the game or buying the junk they sell. Telling them that the NFL has punished these guys takes the fan off the hook.

I read an article in The Boston Globe today that there is a possibility that he'll be removed from a couple of committees he's on.

That would be equal to cutting off ones nose to spite ones face; Kraft is a very good negotiator, he's mostly responsible for ending the last player hold out and the CBA is coming up again soon, he's also mostly responsible for the latest lucrative TV deal all of these bloated millionaires are lining their already fat pockets with.

If they want to kick him off of those two committees over a rub and tug incident, it's their funeral.

As Doug pointed out, it's a good old boys club, they didn't get to where they all are by being stupid.

Time will tell.

All,

I got a Fortune Cookie "fortune" one time that read:

"Even the richest man can't buy back their past"

One time when I was down and out and I took the gang to eat Chinese to clear the air and get out of the house. When the check came I paid and doled out the fortune cookies. Everybody read their fortune and when it came to me I cracked mine open and there was no fortune...it was an empty shell.

Thats when I hit rock bottom...then we laughed all the way home about it.
