N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

Sounds like Nick Foles is done in Philly. I'm surprised teams aren't higher on him given his track record. I think he is better than Goff and some other highly touted NFL QBs at the moment if the objective is winning big games. Jacksonville and NY Giants are in the running. But those are likely dead ends for more SBs during the remainder of his career.

I would rather Foles go to Jacksonville or Miami...
I don't want to see him twice a year in the NFC East...

I don't think it will be the Giants.

They are going to draft a QB and pick up Manning's $11.5 mil option. Then they are going to make Manning into canon fodder behind their paper thin offensive line in the hopes that whomever they draft is ready for 2020.

Jason...
I hope you're right...
I think NY's office squandered Manning's talent...
with the offensive line they provided for him the last few years...
he was 3rd in sacks...
behind only Tampa Bay's QB and Dak Prescott...
he took some unbelievable brutal hits this year...
I think he is way more talented than he appears...
if they can get him for 11.5 million...
that's a bargain to me...
I have always liked Eli...
he is a pure pocket passer...
he just never received the protection he needed...
at 38...he's no puppy...
but he still has a strong accurate arm when he gets time...
still...
there is the future to think of...
so a QB high in the draft wouldn't surprise me at all...

personally...
I'm glad to see Whitten back...
I think most Cowboy fans will agree with me on that...
15 years in the league with 11 Pro Bowl selections...
he's an experienced, solid, tough, smart player with good hands...
he knows the offense...
he's played with Dak...
Dak trusts him as a viable option on every play...
other than Jarwin's 3 TD game against the Giants...
they have had no success at all with their current TE depth chart...
none...the TE position has not produced...
I'm delighted...
at 3.5 million for one year...
they can't go too wrong...
he's 36...
granted...not a kid...
but not ready to retire to Jupiter Florida yet either...

Whitten back on cowboys!!! Odd

Well, not really, Zach.

He was billed as a (potential) top NFL announcer. But when Tony Romo hit ESPN … and Tony showed how good he was in the booth, it made Whitten look mediocre at best.

The better option was give it another try.

TRUE?

Larry...
Romo has been well received as an NFL announcer...
I would like to see him try coaching in the future...
Jerry loves him like a son...
he should replace Garrett with Romo...
Romo said he might try it in the future...
but I bet if Jerry threw one of those big dollar L A Raider's "Chucky" contracts at him...
I think he would do it...

This is a make-or-break year for Garrett.
I like the guy but he seems to have the Andy Reid syndrome.
Have a great regular season, but fall off the cliff in a late season crucial game or in the playoffs

The 2018 campaign (at 10 & 6) was a step up .... and winning the division was positive for Garrett's future and the Cowboys.
AND ... that was amidst all the controversy in the locker room and the injuries.

Unfortunately, Jones will listen to the fan pressure and possibly sack . Garrett unless the Cowboys make it DEEP into the playoffs in 2019/2020.

The question to be asked is, "Who would Jones hire as a replacement for Garrett?
The way that the other teams keep taking the Patriots staff the last few years, maybe it will be the "GatorAde" boy at Gillette!!!! {eek3}

The Todd Gurley saga in LA is still odd. The coach is still saying there is nothing wrong with his knee but the reports are that he has arthritis. Not a good sign for 24-year old RB in the NFL. That's a real shame as he is a major talent. Not sure what the reluctance is among the Rams to acknowledge the issue. It's not like it will go away. He has a huge, multi-year contract. My Rams are apparently coming to Pittsburgh next year. I would love to go to that one.

The Redskins are apparently one of three teams contemplating a trade for Antonio Brown. Just what they need. Another headache with a big ticket contract. They would probably have to give up a ton of draft picks for the pleasure of dealing with him. Brown is better suited for someplace like Oakland. His career can quietly die there.

I like Gurley, but this is why (RB's) the Steelers hesitated giving more money to Bell. RB's can be a tough position with regards to longevity.

Florida police said they have a graphic sexual account of Kraft is on tape...
if they do...he can't dispute that...
even if his power team gets him off on a technicality...
you can't dispute that...

guilty or not guilty...
he will still be the butt of jokes FOREVER...

I wish he would just step up and plead no contest...
or even guilty...
I think the public would respect that...
the public can be forgiving...

either way...
this is gonna follow him in the public eye forever...

I mean really...
how much would a conviction on a misdemeanor effect this man?
it's not gonna change his life...

I wish he’d please guilty too. Pay the fine and it’s over. Now this will extend into the season and it’s all we’ll hear about!

if Kraft manages to get off on some technicality...
I think it will just infuriate the public...

"no justice for the rich"...

if the video of what police say happened is true and released...
found guilty or not...
the damage is geometrically magnified...

either way...it will be his legacy...

I really think people will respect an admission of guilt...

Petitte confessed...
the public forgave him...
he got off relatively clean...

Clemens denied it...
the public turned on him...
no Hall of Fame...
now that's Clemen's legacy...
that he was a cheat and a liar...

The egos on these guys are amazing. I wonder what his defense will be? "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit"? I hope $59 Kraft takes it to the Supreme Court. The longer the better. He has been the head of the most corrupt professional sports franchise in modern history. Although he himself was not bright enough to be the brains behind the cheating, he has been complicit in allowing Belichick and Brady to make a mockery of the NFL.

Being wealthy means you can afford the best legal talent or the best this or that. It’s more likely that a person who is wealthy will be able to stay out of jail or obtain a lesser sentence than one who has to rely on legal aid. If you can afford the best attorney or accountant or whatever, why wouldn’t you avail yourself of the best?
